End chapter.
And then this, for the casuals.
No Itagaki sez, because I have absolutely no idea with whom specifically is his gripe. He says something about how a nation refusing to give prison sentences is basically the same as a nation having no police force.
End transmission.
Oh, wait, I misread it. Not 'prison sentences'; physical beatings.
Who will job first?
shit
they have the ability to turn their left hand into a right hand instantly
Are they going to bring more Sumos or just Sukune agains the five, one by one?
I wonder how a rikishi would do against a NFL lineman.
I think it's going to be Sukune + Baki and Co. VS 6 regular bad-ass Sumo dudes, whoever they'll be
since this is about Ancient Sumo vs Modern Sumo
as fancy suit guy (forgot his name) wants to prove that Modern Sumo wrestling and modern sumo wrestlers have become weak
How are they going to find 6 more sumo wrestlers on the level of these guys anywhere?
People were annoyed at Sukune being as strong as he is, if they decided to introduce 6 more Sukunes thats just going to be stupid.
Some analytic paper which I've lost stated that rikishi actually collide with more force at the tachiai than NFL players do at their whatever. I have no idea who was responsible for it, but I'm almost certain that I saw it on sumoforum at some point.
The closest thing I've got to evidence on hand is Tom Brady vs Goueidou.

Dude onionhead here just accepted the challenge so unless some weird story development happens, he's going to put out 6 sumo dudes he thinks will top fancy suit guy's dudes.
My additional guess is these 6 modern sumo dudes won't necessarily be the top 6 sumo dudes in Baki's modern sumo world, but will be psychopathic or troublesome wrestlers that go over the line and shit
I would be that the Sumo wrestlers hit harder at the point of impact, they have more of a run-up than Linemen do generally right?
It would be interesting to see a rikishi v lineman match.

Anyway, whether it's
Sukune + 4 other Sumo dudes VS Baki and Co.
or
6 Sumo dudes VS Sukune + Baki and Co.
won't really change much as most of the fights will probably be Sumo VS Whatever that's not Sumo
I really dont want to speculate this much since shit can change suddenly
...psychopathic, ultraviolent, brutal, savage, and/or troublesome sumo wrestlers that...
It feels so wrong seeing Katsumi there
>they have more of a run-up than Linemen do generally right?
I don't know what linemen have. The distance between the starting lines in sumo is 2.3 feet. Rikishi don't *have* to start on the line, but they usually do.
Katsumi is only there because his fight will be a team-up
I know >Real life =/= Baki
But even some of the strongest Sumos today can't even overpower a lazy ass orangutan, yet Baki and Co could each kill a Yasha ape.
The FUCK are these sumos going to do?
Even Katsumi, KATSUMI should be able to 1v6 them
They're gonna reveal that Yujiro has been a top-ranked sumo wrestler this whole time
>some of the strongest Sumos today can't even overpower a lazy ass orangutan
watch some sumo
Just by technique alone, the sumo wrestlers win. Offensive linemen don't use any grip techniques, and defensive linemen rely on pads and swim moves in order to do their jobs. Rikishi would also have a lot more experience in throws and strikes. Some linemen are also just absolute lard tubs with zero stamina which would translate to a critical weakness in a one on one match with a seasoned sumo practitioner.
Thanks for the dump
this.
their goals are different too. Sumo want to overpower and push, linemen want to hold and be laterally flexible to open or close gaps.
I can't hold it in anymore i gotta say it, i want Sukune to sit on OP's face.
Not gonna lie bros.
oh boy I can't wait to see my favorite character doppo job again
I think it's been a while since we've had one of the classic Baki horizontal pages.
Is it customary in japan for both parties to start farting wildly when a deal is agreed upon or is it only a sumo thing?
What's the point of these arcs where the entire cast fights a singular antagonist?
Anyone who isn't Baki will lose horribly or """win""" because Sukune isn't going all out like a faggot, but ultimately only Baki will have a chance of beating him.
That doesn't make it pointless. Think of how many people like the various Pickle fights, all for different reasons.
I like the Pickle fights too, but it was a new formula for the time in Baki. Musashii had similar beats but was much longer and objectively worse.
If it's going to be the same formula as Pickle and Musashi but with sumo instead, it's just going to shit.
PIckle was great because it was new/unique for Baki, but it's not anymore.
It is fun to see the supporting cast grow, but it does feel really arbitrary and pointless if they're never actually going to win again.
Katsumi hits harder and faster than anyone else there, in theory. He basically attained godhood vs anyone who could actually take damage.
why isn't the tricky troll dude there? No one else has gotten away with trolling Baki's dad like he did.
Nice chapter, domo arigatou master
