Previously, Takashi was in disbelief over what his mother had told him: that his dad had racked up debt and disappeared and that they were probably going to have to sell their home. All he could do was curse his father for being shit. It affected his mood pretty badly as he acted like a dick to Yuko and her friends pising her off.
Mitsu bowed out of going to the gathering and while walking back to his bike Takashi and Manion came across Ooki, pissed off over them letting the ICBL guy go and the beating he got from Ayase. In response he beat up Takashi easily (having practiced boxing and all) offered to keep his mouth shut about it if Takashi let him back into the ZEROS which he would do if Ooki apologized to Ayase. Ooki did and Ayase, having an idea as to what actually happened, told Takashi he'd have to look out for him.
At Karen's meanwhile, Yuko was working when Kouji, a low level yakuza and her ex-boyfriend came in. He'd just gotten out of jail and had tracked her down, thinking she had aborted their kid. She did but told him it was a miscarriage so he offered to help her "make a new one" and kissed her. While Yuko pushed him away and could only stand around nervous at this new development, Takashi lamented that he was about to turn 16.
I am still waiting for this to be fully translated before start reading. Hope i don't have to wait too much (only 4 chapters left, but the releases are very slow), love Tsutomu Takahashi and deliquent manga.
I should probably read his other stuff. Only other thing of his I've read is Tetsuwan Girl which is good even with the weird tone/genre shift halfway through.
When they were getting ready to sex in her apartment she asked him to bite her boobs because her ex used to do it and she liked it and it pissed him off enough that it killed his entire desire to do it.
Takashi's incredibly insecure and doesn't like the idea of being "second" to anyone, especially with girls.

Can't say I've ever really noticed it myself though I'd guess it's just done to emphasize whatever character traits i.e. Manion and Bond not really having them.
The character designs do a good job of striking a middle ground between realistic and cartoony. I like that not everyone is overly pretty either beyond the characters obviously intended to be attractive i.e. Takashi, Yuko or whoever. Only real exception is Shinobu who starts off looking like a girl version of Manion but by this point is drawn much cuter/more moe.
