I'm not into mecha and the only Trigger work I've watched is Kill la Kill, which I enjoyed. Should I watch Promare?

>I'm not into mecha
What does this even mean? There are plenty of mecha that are vastly different from one another.
Are you in japan? Of course retard
movie is being released subbed in the US.
I just don't like mecha stuff
>I just don't like mecha stuff
What mecha have you seen? What didn't you like about them?
Mecha just doesn't appeal to me
No. It’s a fire force rip off!
So you just arbitrarily don't like it?
>irrationally disliking things
pretty retarded, user.
>it doesn't appeal to me
That's a very vague statement when talking about such a broad and varied genre. Did you get molested by your gundam nerd uncle?
if you liked KLK then probably
it's going to be more or less have the same gusto
watch Gurren Lagann
Well if you like KLK you will like it, watch ttgl too. It's all the same over the top madness.
i think promare should be a good match since it's another imaishi work like KLK. i don't really watch mecha myself but I loved the shit out of TTGL because it's pretty much imaishi's best work in terms of his signature hotblooded high energy style of story and characters. unfortunately i don't know how much i could recommend promare because where are my fuckn subs??? i want to check it out myself to see if it's actually good
I started ttgl but only got to episode 4 before getting bored
Disgusting rip off:
"In a Note in the June 2019 Shonen Magazine, Atsushi Ohkubo wrote :" I will stop talking about the content of my mangas before they are published and also to people that I know. I don't know where my work could be stolen"
>getting bored of TTGL.
>TTGL The ADD of mecha
wow
bruh...
No.
U.S. sub licensed version is being screened in september
any fansubs before that?
cringe
are these screencaps supposed to have something in common
They are nothing alike other than the generic as hell premise.
He's blind
That's unfortunate. The last 3-5 episodes of TTGL alone are some of the best television ever made and blow anything in KLK straight out of the water.
Yes
The mechs are not the real point
Promare got firefighters that saves people from spontanuous combustion demons which is exactly the plot of Fire Force. Firefighters extinguishing fire isn't something really common in anime and Okubo said he wanted to do smthing new and noticed there was almost 0 shonen/manga about firefighters.
possibly whenever it comes out digitally in Japan, maybe sometime in August. not sure though
Is it even out yet? Subbed i mean.
Still doesn't change the fact that the premise is generic, and they do completely different things with it.
Yes and no. It just finished an initial screening period in France, where it will open nationwide July 31st.
In America, there are two special screening events nationwide on September 17th for the dub and September 19th for the subbed version. A wider theatrical release will begin September 20th.
There are plans for a Canadian release. No physical version exists yet.

>The Jakaen (ジャカエン Jakaen, "Evil Fire") are a group of fire demons who gave humans fire long ago. However, after seeing their gift used for selfish reasons to the point of endangering the Earth, the Jakaen made it their goal to make people suffer by causing Super-Fire (超火災 Chōkasai).
And that is 2009. X threat attacking humanity and a special team being needed to fight is nearly every fucking shounen.
Are there any reactions to it so far?
I loved Gurren Lagann and KLK was enjoyable, I'm hoping it's more hot blooded nonsense.
>I'm hoping it's more hot blooded nonsense.
It's exactly, precisely, 100% that. Here, watch this.

I saw people tweeted impressions after watching it at annency. General consensus is if you like KLK and TTGL you will like it, it's everything about gainax/trigger with batshit action distilled. If those are not to your taste it's not for you.
shoo shoo kyoanigger
I can't believe how soft Kray's voice is
Warning: cringe as fuck hosts and voice-over narrations.
Other than that, pretty nice.
It's for a bilingual audience, they gotta be like that.
Artfag twitter is raving about it
we meet
>I'm not into mecha
Lmao, you're just a scared cat
>Trigger described this movie as "Super Lit Mega Action Human Drama"
what did they mean by this
Those are GKIDS's words.
I remember Trigger describing it as such in a Patreon livestream or something months back, so that's probably how they pitched it.
