Nobody would call a movie standarlone finale, even less the Maho movie with Cure Mofurun. The """true""" finale is the episode 49, which ties the remains plot points together and it's a heartwarming meeting of two lovers and their daughters, and knowing even after ~4 Years they still feels the same as years sgo. Ep 50 is OVA-tier and serves as a cooldown between Maho and Kira, even when Ichika is already Cure whip.

Well I finally finished Doki. The ending was pretty good. I liked everything leading up to the last episode, what I didn't like was that final fight. Doki would have worked well with a nice long epilogue episode, I don't get why they had to throw that fight in to make every cure not named Mana look completely useless. I did like Mana admitting that she is selfish too. That was a neat part. Her final transformation looked cool, I love that she had a cape in it and I liked that she used her My Sweet Heart move to end it.
I loved all those scenes between Ira and Rikka. Ira feels like a character that they could have added a little more to, but I was ok with what he got.
Alice is totally going to control both worlds with her company. Anyway, overall Doki was a lot better than I gave it credit for. Bel got robbed.

Characters were great, there were a few things I felt smile was lacking though.
The fights were all pretty tame, even the big ones felt rather weak in comparison to the other precures I've watched. The drama as well played it extremely safe, and while I'm never really a fan of love arcs, Akane's love arc has to be one of the weaker ones I've seen, to the point it was basically pointless and I feel a bit cheated out of an episode.
All in all, while the characters were fun, and I really enjoy the picture book theme, Smile just felt extremely tame.

The fights are all pretty silly by design outside of a couple requisite cool ones for general confrontations. You really thought those weren't just as good as any of the other great fight episodes of precure? Beauty's focus episode is among the highest tier for me at least. I don't think Smile is very dramatic and is definitely more of a silly season but Joker confrontations were usually good for their use of drama which contrasted nicely with the rest of the season.

April fools was good, Father's day was okay. I really din't care for any of Reika's episodes, it definitely doesn't help that it doesn't really feel like any of it made a difference to her and she was already dedicated to path memes from episode 1.
I just feel they could have pushed some of it a bit more to make it interesting.
The animations were great, but fair enough, I'm still going through all of them so I have a relatively small frame of reference maybe i've just been lucky with my choices so far.

When did I said it's a bad thing? Being entry level is like calling narutard or cleaner entry-level series, it's what they are. You are not gonna recomend FW/Suite/Maho/Doki to someone new to Precure, Heartcatch helps them to get used to Precure way to handle things, even has the "dark plot" people likes. Smile, on the other hand, I don't see it as a entry-level season because you can't get such consistent fun trough the others seasons yet it's the other one recomended for new watchers. Bragging about "Muh real fans" is retarded because unless you're living in nipland, going to every stage show, buy every merch of your fav season and such you can't be called "true fan", just a fan. I think that Blue Cat will get an arc until episode 25 or 26 then they move on to rotating episodes between them until they get to around 36 or so.
Why would the focus move to Hikaru around 35? It feels much too early for that. And why would Lala get the final arc? Lala will probably get the final two episodes when she has to go back to her home planet. Madoka will probably deal with the issues with her father in the 40's as well.
As for Elena, I think that there is still plenty of time for her to get some good episodes. I just don't think that the writers will put forth the effort on her at this point, but I hope I'm wrong on that.

I'm just thinking that IF the thing about her dad ends being true then it should be done between 35~40. Madoka issues can be done between 25~35 so do whatever they have planned for Elena, wild cards are generals episodes but, unless they have planned something else for them it'll be the usual final arc for them. Lala having the final arc to deal with the samaan stuff + final boss + farewell makes sense to some extend. Of course if the Red Cure stuff also ends being true then disregard everything I said.
