I played it religiously right until it shut down, the offline version since it added more story chapters. Funny thing is, the offline version is like a better version of the game since there's no gacha. But you also lose a lot buy not having events since the best part about those games is that they are dynamic in their nature.
The prologue is translated via subs so you can check out what's it like at least. youtube.com
But translating the whole game like that would be insurmountably difficult. Much better way to do it would be to hack it and translate the actual text in the game since you won't have to time it or anything. Like fan translators did with VNs basically.

The problem with space fishing was the writing, at least for me. I am not one of those who dislike feminist themes in anime (quite the contrary) but the guy was written like he was a "I am so silly" political comic character.
Akanesasu shoujo issue was that it felt too much like a show for girls, some times, and the mahou shoujo genre has been almost completely taken over by precure at this point.

But putting these anime next to each other, Merc Storia would definitely be the most well done one, it's all around good. Then there's Cinderella Nine, not exactly all around good, but it has a normal premise and a decent execution of the premise. Then there's space fishing, an outlandish premise that they somehow turned into a bore with stupid mobage plugs, shitty muh soggy knees storylines and some pretty bad characters bringing down most episodes.

They still seem pretty popular. Things like Endro and Wataten were some of the biggest series here last season. Yuru Camp was also one of the most loved and least hated series all last year. We've also ended up with a lot of posts about the lack of Kirara adaptions this year.

No, it has no gacha or any features that depend on the internet connection (which ironically makes it a better version).
Offline version has the story mode with full set of chapters (online only had 5) which is like a visual novel. Although they could have gone on for longer.
All the little scenes you get for stuff like getting specific characters.
Main missions and harder elite mission that accompany the story mode.
No EXP (you get a level after you beat a main mission) and no finetuning your stats with upgrades. I feel like the balance is all fucked, but that's only a guess since I beat enough missions by the time they released the offline version to have the story unlocked without doing the gameplay parts.
You get all the characters the game had through the gacha system for free (except those that unlock as you progress through the story) and the character viewer was kept intact.
Also they added an OST player - the music is actually really rad.
Overall, it's a good package. Considering that's it's a mere phone game and it's completely free, damn good. The only problem is that it's in Japanese.

It's basically just about putting together line-ups based on who's tired or not with all sorts of fiddly abilities that don't really matter because rarity trumps all. Anyhow, you can play the games yourself and make tiny decisions like when to juice your players but it's tedious and not terribly interesting. And annoying when you can't pause the game in time to step and intervene in a key moment. It's just more sensible to let the games play out automatically at which point it becomes about collecting baseball cards and polishing them with consumable items.

Yeah, there are some matches that are mostly for loot but the main line is a huge library of little storylines sprinkled all over the story of how the team comes together (with you as their manager). They're cute vignettes but the actual matches don't really line up with the story because your own progression is untethered from it. So you can have your "this is our first road game in XYZ and they're the best team in the prefecture!" story but you might smoke them because you rolled a ton of SSR players.

For a yuri heavy show most of us don't seem to mind that a lot of major characters in Million Arthur are male. There even seems to be someone there solely for the males, or at least asks in most threads if any of them are topless in the episode.
I think a lot of that posting was more about whether it'd be a male coach that leads to a harem situation. I'm fine with male characters but if they included a no-personality male character that all the girls like for no reason it would get in the way of the interactions between themselves, and is the main reason I was cautious in the first 2 threads.
