She didn't seem bad to me in the LN but that's all I read. She's just broken, somehow even more broken than the main character. I didn't get the feeling of her being a bitch or that she's a person that would be desirable to have as a girlfriend, which are two things I've seen posted about her. How different are the adaptations to the LN?

She was in an abusive family for what seemed like a while. At least in the LN. Being attractive doesn't mean shit if you have no social skills/are extremely insecure and are on the brink of suicide constantly. There would be people who might try and interact with her but nothing would ever come of it. It's not like she's just crazy like that woman recently that stabbed that guy to death, her problems make it difficult to have any sort of relationships, normal or romantic.
