Why do people still think he died? It's pretty clear he just tired himself out completely.

Just let it go user.
Even if he was alive, do you really think he would be happy with the way he is living? He could have probably end up worse than Carlos did, at least our venezuelan boy wasn’t blind of one eye.
Nah, I think Chiba released a panel of Joe and Yoko in the Shiraki mansion where she was taking care of him as he sat down staring at the ceiling pale as hell (referencing him turning into white ash). This was supposed to be the ending but he wanted to leave it ambiguous as possible.
Also Tange best grandpa
>I think Chiba released a panel of Joe and Yoko in the Shiraki mansion where she was taking care of him
He did.
>Joe needs a fucking fence to be kept out of danger
How the mighty has fallen.
>he wanted to leave it ambiguous as possible.
That's what makes the ending so iconic
I can't translate this in english or even remember the exact thing he said in the language my subtitles were, but Joe said once (maybe more?) in the series that he wanted to burn and be only white ash or something like that). He doesn't know what to do with his life. He just wants to go even further eerytime until he burns.

Not even sure what he meant by that (it's his own way to find peace? Get rid of his anger?) but it's beautiful.
Why was Noriko so reluctant of telling Joe about her feelings? Even after she married Nishi, she was clearly still a bit attracted to him.
i agree, though i hope he lived a dect life past 50, Joe was in a pretty shit state
That means Joe Yabuki survives, but Joe the boxer didn't. Which doesn't make it any less saddening.
>Noriko so reluctant of telling Joe about her feelings?
I thought she did, but joe pushed everything away except boxing
He was punch drunk as fuck and had one of the most brutal slugfets in boxing, so brutal it made his opponent's hair turn fucking gray. I don't see how he could be fine.
Nice Gurren Lagann reference.
>Gurren Lagann reference.
kek. imagine being this stupid.
good bait
I don't know why this OP made me so angry. It's like somebody questioning a close friend's death. Just let it go user. He burned fucking bright. LET IT GO. HE'S FUCKING DEAD.
Actually, it's an Evangelion reference. Gurren Lagann wasn't around yet.
This is such an effective but obvious bait, I just love it.
Some doctor wrote a book about corpse and he said in the book
>A deceased person cannot support his own body sitting on a chair.
>I think that Joe could go down from the ring by himself.
Meaning Joe is still alive
That look she gave him at the wedding speech gets me every time
>tfw Yoko will never take care of you after the greatest fight in your life
Is there anyone who suffered more than him?
Danpei/Carlos
Yoko.
This.
Every single boxing match Joe had was only possible with Yoko's support. The fuck was her problem? Did she want to prove she wasn't a vain, stuck up bitch by giving Joe the opportunities he was denied? Did she like getting put in her place by some angry hobo? It's just because Joe made her wet wasn't it?
This, also, I really don't understand why some people hate Yoko
>dies young in his prime living a fulfilling life of doing what he truly wants
vs
>lives to an old age as a brain-damaged drooling senile retard, dying a slow uneventful death
Why do you guys insist on the latter?
Yeah, and Tony lived at the end of The Sopranos
If you think she suffered "more" than Joe you're a fucking retard.
It’s literally all because of the biggest homo of them all.
fuck off faggot
No you.
Well duh, no shit an alpha hobo would make a well mannered rich girl secretly wet. Nice girls want savages powerful girls want dominants
fpbp
this is getting tiring
Every time.
To this day Joe's seiyuu confuses me. It's absolutely not the voice I imagined him with, but something about how frank he sounds and how unprofessional that just fits Joe.
She's an egoist and pursues self-interest, I mean, Joe spelled it out, what kind of person would cast themselves as the kind, merciful, humble character in a play? She was clearly doing her job in prison for praise, to be seen doing it, not for the sake of helping.
Furthermore she doesn't care if it's boxing or something else she's getting profit or recognition from, in fact she clearly has zero passion for boxing, that's why Joe would taunt her to watch the matches SHE arranges, that she's responsible for. Just a family business ain't going to cut it, she's free to choose whatever she wants with money they have.
In the end I don't believe Joe would ever be able to say he loves Yoko back, I don't think he ever loved her even when he gave her his gloves, she was just last person to see him off. Because there's so little passion of her own in her that in the end I don't believe her confession of love for Joe is genuine either, it could've been Joe, it could've been Rikishi, for her they are the same interchangeable boxers she invested in.
Joe...
That was the ending he originally had thought up but then he went for instead
He dead my man
Tsunderes were silly even back then
nu-AnJfags thinks this decade old meme is a bait.
