Concept art show that the North America section was under construction when the Cerulean attack, and several things were left behind or was left incomplete and looking out of place. The oval race course was made to revive NASCAR but it was incomplete. The NA section was going to be another driving part for guests.

That's kinda tough to answer.
First, the concept art doesn't say that it's a concept art for Kaban herself, just for "Human" Friend.
The concept says that the body is un stable, so as to not have a defined/set form as they grow.
But they also say that: "There is a possibility that [Human Friend] will take the form of "a certain person"'s strong will and continues to live on in Jappari Park".
Honestly, most of these concept art regarding Kaban/Human Friend doesn't really set anything in stone. The 3D model concept isn't even sure if they wanted to make her Kaban or no.

1. Confirm. They tell state this in the before story sets 2,000 years ago.
2. Cannot confirm, this was not mention on her character designs form.
3. Cannot confirm. But the before story did say that "this was the 2nd time Miria has lost her serval", and this was about 2nd Gen Serval, so it's very likely.
4. Most likely not, concept art of Serval house shows a board with a bunch of Serval name written differently by other Servals.
5. Unlikely. Miria in the before story says that she can't imagine what Serval would be like in 5 years (after she got eaten), so I guess they all turn out differently each time.

Can you find out the relation given between S1 Serval and S2 Serval? I'm still confused how S2 Serval remembers travelling with Kaban and calls her Kaban-chan in the final episode if they aren't the same animal refriended. Maybe they're retconning that too.

The messenger part was not mentioned on the art, but, again, I did not watched season two so I have no idea what happened at the end. "Year 2,000" is definitely wrong, at least four concept arts uses the word "２０００年後”, it's pretty hard to interpret that as anything other than 2,000 years later.

It could always be just due to seeing another Serval Friend. She never reacted to Mirai's voice beforehand so it seems odd that her appearance specifically would trigger it. What was actually different there was another Serval appearing (it's also only after the other Serval appear that we see the tears).

It is a masterpiece in a way that with the drain tier story it still ended up being amusing to watch, with the settings as the cream on top.

It's not that far fetched. It could just be that her appearance was able to trigger her memory while her voice alone wasn't. Especially since Mirai, Boss and Kaban share the same VA it wouldn't necessarily be distinguishable.
"I'm Crying, but I Don't Know Why" is such a common trope for repressed memory being triggered, that I would be surprised if it weren't the case here.

I've been saying this 9/25, it makes zero sense to do these things purely out of greed. People were willing to buy anything KF related before they got rid of Tatsuki.

I wouldn't actually be surprised if the goal really was to make season 2 a flop, and season 1 was supposed to be a flop as well for weird accounting tricks, perhaps even to somehow wash yakuza money.

It's very weird to think about, and the whole yakuza money memes are entirely possible. My guess is that they were ready to throw KF away and bury it for good until Tatsuki touched it and revived KF. This caused jealousy and people like Mine with his bible or the "anyone can make KF good" crew likely wanted to take control from irodori so they could take all the money and influence the franchise how they wanted, and the fact that Tatsuki refused and wanted to keep the story going his way probably pushed them even further, hence the whole "KF2 is revenge", constant changes targeting Kaban, and other things they did to make KF become as shitty as possible. Even worse if the rumor that someone influential at KDKW prevented Tatsuki from coming back is true. All they had to do was let him do what he wanted and they could have earned so much money.

It had a small but very dedicated team of people who loved what they did, put in a lot of hard work, and made very nice characters. The love from those making the first season plus all the possible characters for future episodes or fanart made it have a large amount of potential. It was clear they cared a lot about the characters, the fans, and animals in general.

Before the first season, Kemono Friends was a multimedia franchise that wasn't very successful, which led to the mobage to be shut down a month before the anime that was meant to be an ad for it even began, so it seemed like an absolute trainwreck waiting to happen.

People tuned in out of morbid curiosity and saw very low-quality 3DCG animation. I think that a lot of the original viewers were irony-watchers who wanted to gawk. But as the next few episodes progressed, it became clear that it was an actually simple yet fun adventure series, with charming and cute characters and tidbits of real animal information that made it feel like you were watching a nostalgic edutainment show. There was also sublte worldbuilding that implied a deeper story behind the setting, but the show never felt the need to address it directly and let it speak for itself. Even the choppy animation began to have a charm of its own.

I think that Episode 3 was when it began to explode. People went from watching it ironically to watching it earnestly, because Kemono Friends was a show devoid of irony and cynicism. It felt like a breath of fresh air.
