Last time, Takashi spent the night with Yuko and then went back home. He asked his mother for some money but she was a lot more firm about it than usual which he found odd nothing something in the home had changed. He went over to Mitsu's and ran into Shinya and his new girlfriend and couldn't help but be annoyed that it seemed like Shinya had more or less dropped out of the gang in favor of hanging out with a girl.
Takashi and Mitsu went to Johnson's where Ayase dropped by to tell them that they were heading out with the JOKERS on Wednesday to Nerima to mess up the ICBL. At the same time Ooki, a middle schooler, came by in a car as he'd grabbed and kidnapped an ICBL member. Ayase ordered the guy's keys and Takashi gave them back sending him off.
For doing somethng dumb on his own initiative and questioning the leadership Ayase beat the shit out of Ooki and Takashi was amazed that he was still moving after all of it. The next day Takashi ran into his mother who told him that his father had dropped out of sight after amassing a large debt and that because of it they might have to sell their home.
