>Batoto(rip) got shitty admin that caters to fujos.
>Mangadex slowly losing contents and scanlators due to drama
>Madokami chapters are behind by months on some series.
Why Yea Forums related sites always got shit on like this?
I just want to be a useless neet while reading mango on my cheap ass phone.
Batoto(rip) got shitty admin that caters to fujos
Are you new to piracy or something? I swear the same shit happened when Mega was thought to be dead. If a website goes to shit two will replace it. That's never changed.
But mangadex is not dead, just became more shitty.
Meanwhile Madokami is slower than Gotlurk, at least go lurk was faster in adding chapters.
Mangadex doesn't have balls to add official manga scanlations, now they also got shit on by scanlators and removed unofficial scanlations.
What has been happening with the goddess? I was maintaining a backup, but the rsync server rejected my login and queue never responded when I asked what was up.
Dunno, some chapters are also way behind for almost months.
Yeah I said went to shit for a reason user, whether a site either dies or no longer fulfills it's purpose doesn't matter. It will be replaced by sites that do what it was meant to. Say piratebay stopped offering video game piracy, do you think it would stop and people wanting to upload their shit would just say fuck it and give up? No, they'd go to alternatives and if there weren't any they'd make their own.
You will always be able to pirate whatever you want unless the internet goes to shit and even then it just makes it slightly harder.
Myanimelist threads get rightfully deleted
Streaming site threads rightfully get deleted
Manga hosting site threads rightfully get ______
Meant " do you think people would just stop"
At this point laughing at mangafox feels like an irony for this board.
That shitty site still actives and go more content than any Yea Forums related sites.
And they host shit in shitty quality. Hardly a win. Fucking chinks had the opportunity and they wasted it.
>Didn't even know about Mangadex drama until today
>literally nothing in my list is gone save for like ten Dagashi Kashi chapters
Has anything of value even been lost?
I dont care if they won or not, what I'm saying that our own elitism has became our own demise.
Batoto and mangadex is literally the same shit with different skin in its current state.
How do we fix the Goddess?
Just use a different source on tachiyomi. It's not hard.
>our own elitism has became our own demise
No, you have no idea what you're talking about. Elitism is not the issue. It's apathy. As usual, sites die when admins stop giving a shit. Elitism is why madokami even bothers to keep track of both fan and official releases in good quality. That is lacking in content is laziness due to the admins not bothering to update shit like fixing the bots. People who give a shit will still manually upload to the sites, but there's only so much they can do when admins just never bothered to update the site.
>monitor gorillion groups and manually switch sources
>have everything automatically available but recompressed
Pick your poison.
The fuck are you even talking about? Mangadex is the absolute opposite of elitism, they even fucking allow like 10+ fucking languages on it. Elitism would be if they only allow english and maybe raws and tell all the spics and chinks to fuck off and get their own site.
Mangadex is fucking garbage. They don't stop people from sniping series that are already being translated, they don't let us put ads in our release, and they're taking money from readers instead of telling them to contribute to the scanlators so they can afford to buy volumes to scan.
I'm talking about their stand on not having official manga added to their library or siding on scanlators when the point of the side was just to archive everything just like #LURK.
>I want to enjoy free shit while not repaying anyone working on it
>steam sniping
>bad
Try working faster.
>I'm talking about their stand on not having official manga added to their library
Perfectly reasonable.
>the point of the side was just to archive everything just like #LURK.
False. Mangadex was made by scanlators for scanlators.
>They don't stop people from sniping series that are already being translated
No one give a shit if shit Nagatoro got two or three scanlators, what they care is the result.
No one even care when 4-5 fansubs are subbing one anime series back then in 2007.
Again, that makes them the opposite of elitism. Not having official manga is because they are scared of takedowns, aka appealing to mainstream.
>when the point of the side was just to archive everything just like #LURK
You are confusing the ftp with mangadex. FTP is the one that is about archiving. dex is just the usual manga online reader with the usual nonsense associated with online readers.
>False. Mangadex was made by scanlators for scanlators.
And there it goes, the elitism.
>elitism
What do you think this word mean, exactly?
Yea Forums related sites as a concept is fundamentally retarded. If you are using the site as some kind of social media shit you are already fucking shit up. The only thing that matters is the quality of the shit being posted. If Yea Forums related site means a website with quality translations and not .jpgs then yeah that's good shit, if Yea Forums related sites means comment section then fucking kill yourself.
>They don't stop people from sniping series that are already being translated
Not like TL groups have any rights over the mangas they work on.
You're like asking the mafia boss to punish thiefA for telling thiefB to stop stealing shit.
>e·lit·ism
>the advocacy or existence of an elite as a dominating element in a system or society.
>the attitude or behavior of a person or group who regard themselves as belonging to an elite.
>newfag spotted
That is not elitism. scanlators decide to make their own readers because in the old terrible days, there were plenty of sites like narutofans.com who steal people's TLs, puts up paywalls on their own sites and told others it was their own TLs. This lead to sites like stoptazmo.com and so on.
And people still doing that.
You know what Yea Forums most popular site back then?
Lurk, everything got uploaded almost instantly, no one complained.
No name calling for stealing scanlators money and shit, despite it got donation too.
Now people make a site with shitty elitism excuses like "we side with scanlators" when they got cucked of content by said scanlators, while shitty dozens of shitty websites like mangafox doesnt give a shit about them still exist.
Ok, so you really have no idea what you're talking about. You don't even know that mangadex people where involved in scanlating in the first place. Pooling resources with others that already how shit works isn't elitism, it's efficiency. Nobody's stopping you from being part of that community. Again, you have a bunch of random JP-->KR--->Indonesian releases up there. How can it be elitism when just about anyone can have their release uploaded there?
That's still not elitism. Stupid, retarded action, yes, but not elitism. Maybe you should start by looking up what the word Elite means.
Get a real job, third worlder.
Your shitty excuse of poor translation doesnt meant shit, they still side with scanlators because of their elitism.
They don't want to be on bad side of scanlators that's why they allowed them self to be starved on content.
They don't want to be on bad side of officials that's why they don't allowed official scans.
This "Our website belong to scanlators" bullshit elitism are the one that killing them.
Mangatraders got the same foreign translation and no one in Yea Forums give a fucking shit a decade ago.
Okay you won, its not elitism you call it what ever you want.
Their site idealism is still fucking autistic.
Why won't you learn Japanese?
Korean is easier and raws come faster in it.
Learn Korean.
They don't "side with" scanlators. They are scanlators, Doki actually, who decided to allow any other scanlators to host releases on their reader if they want.
Elitism would be for example having any qc or restricting certain groups from uploading for whatever reason.
>They don't "side with" scanlators. They are scanlators, Doki actually, who decided to allow any other scanlators to host releases on their reader if they want.
So they don't allow any other people to upload a series unless the "SCANLATORS" itself upload them?
>Elitism would be for example having any qc or restricting certain groups from uploading for whatever reason.
I guess some user whose not related to a scanlations group are allowed to upload other groups scanlations to their site without said group permission then?
Nope, doesn't sound like elitism at all.
>Complaining about elitism
PLEASE go back
Don't worry user soon^tm.
Even have tachi support in the works.
They shut down applications when batoto died, now a year + later its still closed and the site is slowly dying due to natural attrition. I have an account but I haven't touched it for anything except grabbing danke rips for a long time since mangadex has a much less anal content policy than batoto.
I just want lurk to be back again.
Having a centralized shit like batoto and mangadex only to have them ruined by drama really ruining it and make people too lazy to create an archive anymore because they think their site will lived forever.
Just create a site with no comment section and add links to scanlators original website for each chapters for anyone who want to complained about shitty scanlations.
If people scare to upload official manga, just create XDCC bots links.
tl;dr Bring back lurk, fuck scanlators drama.
I'm curious how many still actually use Goddess. I only use it for danke rips anymore as well.
I thought I saw mention in IRC once that they plan on relaunching the site, but that could have been my imagination. Really don't know what the fuck they're expecting at this point.
Sup shill, still mad Yea Forums sniped solo leveling?
>Mangadex slowly losing contents and scanlators due to drama
They aren't the best website to use anymore. Too many translators have gone to different websites, I can never find everything I need on mangadex and have to search for it myself again.
Shit.
>They aren't the best website to use anymore.
What do you think is the best site to use?
>Too many translators have gone to different websites
Really? Maybe I've been lucky, but basically nothing I've read seems to have disappeared.
>has a pdf full of tl;drs on filename autism
>their own bot doesn't even follow it
Madokami is a massive joke.
>>Batoto(rip) got shitty admin that caters to fujos.
Most manga sites are like that.
Did mega ever restore everything like they originally planned to?
Didn't they ban a guy because unironic faggots didn't like his credit pages?
>. If a website goes to shit two will replace it.
Yeah, and a shitload of uploaded stuff goes missing.
Rapeman is alive and well
If I recall correctly they didn't
This is only the case for shortsighted as fuck uploaders, a slightly competent uploader posts their shit in multiple places. What little we have lost I doubt the short sighted retards work s were worth it in the first place.
My greatest ally.
From what I've heard the admins no longer give a shit and are just paying its upkeep. I won't surprised when it disappears without a trace one day.
You should stop being a thief and pay for your shit.
Removed the chapter because the credit page referenced the NZ shooting too soon. Rapeman didn't want to change his credit page, but he himself isn't banned.
You'd think they'd have the sense to recruit other people to manage the ftp instead but well, Yea Forums just ain't one for doing things for the long run after all.
Can anyone repost that credit page they mentioned?
The big problem has been that the bot hasn't been working since like March, so most releases since then aren't being uploaded unless an individual user with upload privileges does it manually. It was convenient to have stuff ripped off mangadex instead of having to do it myself, since a number of groups just do online reader releases only. Now it's getting even worse because you have groups releasing on their own readers or in shitty formats like dumping all the pages into a tumblr post.
>individual user with upload privileges does it manually
Then just do away with the restricted upload crap. Last time they claimed it was because they're scared their potato server can't handle the post-batoto flood, so what's their excuse now?
Quality control? Not like it has any now anyway.
WHEN THE FUCK IS THE GODDESS ADDON FOR TACHIYOMI COMING OUT
>Mangadex slowly losing contents and scanlators due to drama
It lost like 6 group, out of those only 2 didn't upload ultra-obscure series and even those 2 groups mostly uploaded chinkshit, gookshit and isekaishit.
Nothing of value was lost and someone will start translating their most popular series again sooner or later.
Mangakakalot still has the credit page up. Himenospia. The chapter was also about school shooting coincidentally.
Oh wait. The removed chapter is chapter 8 which is on their site.
>Nothing of value was lost
There's a couple of oneshots I liked which are gone now.
But yeah - when I heard people talking about this they made it sound like end of Mangadex, but when I checked through my follows basically everything was still there.
>It lost like 6 group
The problem is now I need to open shitty sites like mangafox just to see if those groups translating some new series or even some new groups comes out and decide they doesn't want their stuff uploaded to mangadex.
And don't said to check new stuff using MU database, because you guys know this shit sometime doesn't accurate or fast specially for stuffs like official scanlations rip.
I think the MD staff said they were going to add some sort of "group left/dropped manga" notification.
>Batoto
Haven't heard that name in a while.
I honestly don't see how this was any worse than his typical nigger/kike shitposting credits.
Like gone permanently or just off of mangadex?
Off MD.
Aggregators should have them and the groups that left probably have their own websites.
Off mangadex. Your favorite bot aggregator already ripped them within a few hours anyway.
That still doesn't fix the problem where we need to visit shitty ads ridden online reading site just to check if something new come out because the better alternative is slow and inaccurate.
Nothing we can do about that other than call the groups who left fags or learn japanese.
I'm assuming the translators still have a copy somewhere. I don't recall who they were though, so that doesn't help me much.
What do you mean by "bot aggregator"? Is there a archive of the pulled chapters somewhere?
They meant that bots from other websites just steal every chapter after a couple of hours.
Those bots also watermark everything and reduce them down to jpeg-artefact soup.
When are we getting a site like Mangatraders?
Isekaishit is 90% of what is good nowadays considering “fan translators” don’t bother keeping good non-isekai harem or even regular fantasy romance up to date now. Like Bahamut which is 22 chapters behind raws or Sekai ka Kanojo ka Erabenai which hasn’t gotten an update in almost a year.
If the problem is with mangadex, then why don't the groups who left just make their own site together or something. Saves readers the problem of navigating between different sites.
