Also I think with Tsubasa Chronicle they completely fucked up by wanting for all their works to be connected that simply doesnt work because Chobits wasnt made to be connected with Card Captor Sakura and I dont think they had much of a success after Tsubasa Chronicles ended considering the number of sequels (like Rei) that either ended after a few volumes or were pretty much abandoned, like Gate 7 and now are back to Card Captor Sakura, a series that didnt need a sequel.

It doesn’t. Holic was good when it was mysteries and folklore. It was immediately fucked beyond redemption when Clamp decided to link all of their works. Holic was the main victim here.

7 gate was so bad, I want to believe the linking a stories was a desperate attempt for financial reasons. Otherwise Clamp have the most incompetent editor ever.

Pretty much this for me. Watanuki's dynamic with Yuuko and his relationship with Doumeki are the highest points of the series, with some alright things along the way. Might as well watch Natsume after that if the premise interested you.

They completely fucked up with Tsubasa, people fucking hated what they did with it, so no wonder their works didn't sell much after that, it was even western fans that were the most vocal about it
