Bakugou and todoroki are two unlikable characters. Baku should have been a stepping stone and never mentioned again and todoroki should have been treated like gara. But anyways the show premise of superheroes is trash, and writing only toddler will like.

They are still characters written by Horikoshi and are thus still shit.
BUT Deku is the absolute worst so it would be a marginal improvement.

Shigaraki comes with the same problems as Deku in that every Villain is more interesting than Shigaraki and Shigaraki just gets everything handed to him either by All for One (Noumus) or Stain (his followers)
He has no conviction and is basically the least interesting villain.

yeah Redestro needs his exposure, he's an instant success villain because his inspiration is from actual comic books, shigaraki is an original character so it takes time to build his character, especially when the heroes take nearly all the screentime/pagecount

No. Todoroki is the most boring character in the entire series. Bakugo is a gag character that shouldn't even have as much screentime as he does currently. He's annoying and repetitive, and I will never understand why fans like him.
Both would be lackluster as MCs

Nah, Deku never really demanded or whined to anyone about anything. He had goals he wanted to achieve, but it was pretty much everyone else in his entire life telling him to stop until it almost broke his spirit and even then he was never particularly whiny about it. He lived his life and minded his own business. Bakugo was the one that bullied and assaulted him because Deku refused to conform to his shitty world view.

The only people who actually deserve to be bullied are people who actively bully other people. If someone's not bothering you let them live in their fantasy/pity party and move on with your life.

You're comparing apples and oranges here. Sasuke's arc was ultimately about his fall to darkness while Bakugo's arc was an excuse to end All Might.

Honestly the biggest dissapointment about Bakugo's arc is that the idiot is too dumb to realize how his psychopathic behavior could genuinely convince villians that he might be happier as a villian. It's not really retarded to assume that the kid that constantly bullies people, does nothing to help others and tried to pick a fight with an unconscious kid before being chained to a podium might not grow up to be a functioning member of society.
