Why does everyone in anime always fart like this whenever food is mentioned?
Is this like a Japanese custom or something that I just don't understand?
Maybe it's just me, but it just seems so weird that someone will be speaking, and then suddenly they'll just let out a really long, protracted fart, and someone else will go "Haha, guess it's time for curry!" or something, like it's the most normal thing in the world...

Unlike Americans the Japanese don't eat 6 meals a day they eat 3 at the most and it's mostly fish or rice which doesn't fill you up unless you eat like fucking Goku.
