If this nobody was able to not get his skull crushed or his head chopped off by that hit which basically can destroy walls of rock and the ground it makes sense that obito survived.

You’re rewriting history. Nobody was sure who he was, people thought Tobi was anyone and everyone from Madara to Izuna to Shisui to Kagami to even fucking Sasuke from the future. And yes, of course plenty of people thought it was Obito too, but it was far from settled, it was a contested issue. On some forums people were so sure he was Madara they would ban people for posting theories why he was someone besides Madara.
