It just genuily fit in with the story. The MC is being tempted both by foods, promise of moneys and the look of the girls. It's the first time he experience this and has to make such an important decision. It's just kino.

Lots of crazy shit is obviously planned for season 2, should have incorporated some of those ideas in S1 to make it have a bigger scope.
