What would you tell someone who just started Bleach?

I'm on episode 100+ and while I like it the plot convinces are a tad bit too obvious.

Kubo gets depressed or something and just stops caring after the second major arc. The series is still entertaining enough but the writing, the setting, even the art a lot of the time just goes to shit compared to what was before. It got so bad they just cancelled it before he had a chance to finish it properly so the ending is rushed like said.

Lots of shonentards and weekly readers think it goes down hill, but shonentard opinions are always terrible. Ignore them and enjoy yourself

Read it all. The loose plot threads and rushed ending to the War arc doesn't change that a lot of the stuff past where people are saying stop is really enjoyable. While the comfy feeling is long gone, powers get a lot more creative, twists get more twisted, and the ending in itself is sufficient.

Kubo puts a lot of symbolism on his work, so if you can, try to analyze and correlate each character power with its personality and what they're meant to represent. Also, take your time and read slowly, since a lot of the "asspulls"are already explained in the manga or the (last) canon LN.

I love Bleach, but it's a fucking disappointment. Kubo couldn't deliver on the ending. Also Aizen best boy.

the anime is awesome just make sure to skip the fillers.The ending is sadly rushed in the manga and we didn't even get the last arc adapted, still one of the best shonen of all times

There's only one piece of advise to give to someone starting Bleach: when you notice it going downhill stop, it most likely won't get better for you. Some people like were it went, most don't, most of the grievancies people had with the writing or art persist, Kubo's "evolution" is quite consistent, so if you'll find yourself thinking it has lost it's charm at some point, then you can consider it having lost it for good. Unless you really need an ending, then 423 is something of the sort; lots of stuff is missing, but it will be the same if you read 'till the end. The only exception I can think of is if you really liked it until the 423, and you don't like human world becoming the main focus and battles taking the backseat in the first half of the next arc, then it's possible (though obviously not guaranteed) you'll like the last arc that starts right after that one.

Just stop at the soul society arc. The following arc was pretty much the soul society arc taking place in another setting, and Girl B now needs to be rescued.

It's pretty good, it starts off around a 7/10, peaks at around a 9.5/10 but after that it slowly loses steam and by the end is a 5/10, its a sad and slow death, but worth the read.

Bleach is a concentrated version of 2005 era anime. Back when the future was bright and anime was not polluted by normie trash. The character designs are on another level. On something you rarely see today. They feel livid, extroverted and purified. The battles follow a certain schematic a lot of the current anime community seem to dislike because it seems outdated. Watch it, it's great
