In fact, the "interesting characters" bit barely qualifies because the episode gave me no reason to give a shit about any of the non-Waver characters beyond being fapbait. Even Waver I only cared for because I was already familiar with F/Z, if this had been my first exposure to him he would've been about as interesting as the rest of the cast, which is to say not at all. All of this accentuated with a boring-ass car chase scene meant to hook the actionfags but forgot what made Nasuverse fights cool in the first place.If this is what Nasufags then Nasufags are full of shit.

Given the games' doujin nature, I'd go for something in the style of the Street Fighter II anime movie or Darkstalkers/Fatal Fury OVA's, with darker colours, harsher lines, grungy rock music or jazz/rock fusion as its OST, a larger focus on fights and a good amount of old-school anime gore. The plot would mostly adapt the "true" route where you fight Tatari as Sion/Tohno/Arc and focus on their plotline with other characters showing up for a fight or two. Subsequent installments would be condensed, broad strokes adaptations of each sequel,

I for one, can't tell all the references in SF because I am not familiar with the whole Nasu verse. I heard he even uses Tsukihime references and shit so I am lost there. But I don't mind. When readers point them out, I just go online and check. But yes, unless you are unfamiliar with Fate as a whole it will be difficult to follow.
