Does anyone, or has anyone, on here ever had experience with voice acting?
I'm sort of interested in attempting it, but have no idea on the ins and outs.
I guess Funimation has monopolized it from what I hear.
I'm fairly frequently told I have a voice for it.
I'd say it's along the lines of the dudes that voice All Might and Endeavor, though not quite as commanding.
inb4dubs I guess.

not the right place to ask
This isn't really the right place to ask about professional careers like this. Asking an actual voice actor or something makes more sense, or a company that does it (idk which ones do in the West).
Also, I never did watch that show but doesn't she end up miserable and drinking away her depression?
>Also, I never did watch that show but doesn't she end up miserable and drinking away her depression?
She ends up saying "I'm going to do my best from now on!"
Hope the movie heals her, but the VA industry is really one of the worst
don’t think anyone here watches dub
You need to go back, faggot.
>Also, I never did watch that show but doesn't she end up miserable and drinking away her depression?
She gets a role in the end, but she's beaten down more than any of the others to show how hard it is for a new VA breaking in.
Post vocaroo. Pretend you are auditioning, read off a few lines you like
There's nothing stopping you from starting now. There are tons of animation projects online looking for VA talent. Even starting up a youtube channel where you overdub a friend's comics is a good start.
The market is a bit saturated at the moment but as I said, nothing stopping you from seeing how far you can go.
Bet there was some cocksucking of old men involved
Why ask here idiot?
She got a role, at the end of the end in the anime.
It's not even be called a supporting role because she only had to say one line.
Truly, the bullying never stops.
And to think she could've gone to university and just become an accountant or teacher or something
Her actual VA isn't doing great either, last I heard.
Off topic, but dear fuck ACTUALLY LEARN TO ACT. Take voice classes, take actual acting lessons/classes at school/university.
RIP her
Voice acting like the modern day version of the early modern professional artist where you desperately looked for a patron
1% strike gold, 99% just starve to death. Or star in JAVs.
She's been doing roles as unnamed characters and minor one-episode speakers for years
I think Shizuka was her only major role until she did the MC of Satsuriku no Tenshi last year
How did that show do anyway?
>Voice acting
>Sort of interested in attempting it
Don't, unless you're fine with getting less paid than the cashier at McDonald's or convenient store
I really really REALLY wish Zuka's story was becoming a successful bartender after realizing being a VA isn't really that worth it.
I need the new Shirobako movie to be woke as fuck and show to the audience (especially to the aspiring VAs) about survivorship bias.
I mean it's a dream you know
People chase dreams even when it's not worth it because you want to believe you can make it
Yet it's an undeniable fact that only a handful can ever be successful and there is a higher chance, statistically, that you are not one of them.
I know that you will respond with "a person aiming to be one has a higher chance than someone who's not doing anything" but you're just romanticizing the idea and not actually seeing the bigger picture.
Then again, if you continue to be scared of the results, you can never move on with your life.
