It's much better than SAO; it knows everything's just a game and doesn't take it super seriouslike (mostly). I mean, there's some crazy ridiculous stuff that happens, but nobody's really broken OP compared to everyone else (at least, no more than your real-life FPS expert vs casual player). i dropped sao after the first episode or maybe even just partway through it, but tbdesu i ended up watching the entirety of ggo in one sitting because it was actually a lot of fun. its pretty self aware of how retarded its supposed to be and the ridiculous plot of what pitohui plays the game for fits in rather than messes with the tone of the show as a whole. also
