He gave her the motive to blackmail him, before she wasn't aware how much he likes Chorizo and was sure he is just a shallow asshole.
By teasing them she would at most expose his shallow nature, now she knows there is more at stake here and she can use it in another way.

He started stalking her before he knew she wouldn't tell, but just wanted a promise afterwards. How things turned out afterwards is another story. Ofc his actions made everything worse, but he did it with the right, and more or less plausible, intentions.

Mami is the villain. You don't send her into every arc, you need to build her up.

The biggest problem it has is probably the pacing: especially the parts with Mami.
You have long arcs amounting to nothing, then a short tease with Mami who could resolve everything in seconds, but nah she'll wait with her phone in her hand a couple of months for no real reason just to allow other threads to unwind.

Maybe next arc already? If the author repeats the structure leading to chapter 50 ... I mean chapter 100 is probably something special right?

I dropped this manga a couple of chapters ago. holy crap the main girl is such a bitch that I can't believe I hold on to it this long I thought that at some point there would be some development but she just treats him like crap, on top of that he constantly chucks himself.

The characters in this are way to aggravating, especially the MC. At least some character development is happening in 5Toubun, compared to all the backpedaling in this manga.

I was one of these fans because I thought that MC would go through a lot of changes and grow as a person. He was talking all the time about how he didn't want to be such a pathetic piece of shit any more and I really like these kind of stories. Now we are nearly one hundred chapters in the story a year passed. Every character development is shallow and reversed a few chapters later. MC even went back to buying dated, not just to keep up the lie but to "treat" himself.

Alright, we just wait how did Miyajima save this manga? Making this manga beautiful with the concept of "rental girlfriend" is difficult.

And Aoi was ( again ) left alone by a boy and nothing changed at all. The author tried to retcon her feelings a little bit to justify his decision, but it didn't feel right.
Botan would have been a perfect "best friend", but being main love interest while dumping Aoi? Nah sorry.
