depends on which sports
>tennis=baby steps
>basket=slam dunk
>wrestling/sumo?=?
>baseball=?
>american football=eyeshield 21
>rugby=?
>ping pong=?
>soccer
and definitelky matters which medium. I would watch captain tsubasa but wouldn't dare read it
>ping pong=?
Come on,it was even te AOTD
but there's actually another ping poing anime thats older and theres a girl ping pong though it feel more like the princes of tennis version of ping pong. I love ping pong and know its hard to make a table match exciting without any visual substance but still
Definitely. Diamond no Ace is the best sports anime ever.
liverpool winning their 6th cl
>luck out on group stage
>demolish bayern and porto
>come back against barca
>kick tottenham back to irrelevancy
this is what peak sports anime looks like
>soccer
Come on,it was even te AOTD
wait, is that the movie or the new series?
I guess it depends in what you want, ping pong the animation is a great anime, but it is a grat anime that happens to involve ping pong, not a great anime about ping pong
yeah which was what I was getting at, it's like lion march at some points even though shogi is the main it feels like a backdrop to all the character relationships going on, it's not bad at all
but which is why I love 81 diver even though some of the people in that story are quite mentally ill
>its hard to make a table match exciting without any visual substance
The soundtrack helped a lot.
To be fair the manga was even more exciting.
What is the reason for Furuya to exist? He add close to nothing just a dumb rivaliry, he don't even have a "bond" with the catchers.
are they all older did they graduate?
The best baseball anime I've seen are Taishou Yakyuu Musume for the CGDCT and One Outs for the actual baseball. I haven't seen every baseball anime
>one outs
man I forgot about that. one of the few shows I actually rewatched and read from beginning to end. watch it twice now but now I feel like a third
