Late 2010/2011 was when Yea Forums forever changed. People couldn't just shut the fuck up about plebbit and how they were stealing our memes. It became an obsession where anything associated with that place became corrupt and tainted; people actively rejected once-loved images like pariahs. I have no idea why it happened, it's not like memes were stolen before (ebaumsworld), maybe it was a small, dedicated group of shitposters. Such groups have existed in the past, and the amount of Costanza and some other guy I don't know image spam heavily implies forced memery.
