I saw a thread a while back where people were bitterly arguing about their picks for AOTS going back several years and they completely ignored everything that was actually good or interesting or original, that people still talk about, and acted like that season's utterly generic CGDCT show was objectively the best for reasons they never really went into
I thought it was trolling at first but they seemed really sincerely angry about it, can anyone explain this?

It really isn't, most of the board doesn't give a fuck about Precure but it still gets large threads because enough of a dedicated following looks for it. And if you really think manga is just Hunterchads vs everyone else, you clearly haven't read enough manga.
