the BDs exists, and animation quality alone doesn't carry a story or a whole show. the characters were great and every twists and climax was fun.
If anything I think the major problem with Samumenco was that the color design was terrible and backgrounds boring as hell, on top of mostly forgettable bgms. This stuff really hurt the series and I think it would have gotten more attention if it was more polished.
