Series that jumped the shark

Post series/shows that REALLY jumped the shark.
>pic related (starts as a charming magic/fantasy story about going to dungeons and devolves into a story with dimensional travel, sci-fi towns and elder god type characters)

I mean... look at this, would you think a manga called Magi would have something like this in it when at the begining it had a standard arabian nights look to it?

I'm more upset with how it introduces you to alibaba and what's his dick then proceeds to dick suck sinbad for the rest of the series

Sindbad is a mary sue

Attached: shark.jpg (800x1181, 222K)

how to fix this series' ending:
>cool it with the Sinbadwanking
>make it at least 10~15 chapters shorter
>have at least 2 epilogue stories
it was really simple, it overstayed its welcome by a lot

>arabian nights
Have you even read the Arabian nights? Because it did feature aircrafts. Alteast do your research before you shitpost.

This, I was hyped with the Judar/Hakuryu combo being BIG BADS after killing Arba.
And then we got Sinbad's 12 Houses Arc.

>How to filter brainlets

>starts as a charming magic/fantasy story about going to dungeons and devolves into a story with dimensional travel, sci-fi towns and elder god type characters

And the problem being ? Everything it shows later in the series is foreshadowed or set up.

Even a quick look at the 1001 Nights wiki page will show that it’s no stranger to science fiction/fantasy elements it even has a section just for those subjects. It seems OP’s “knowledge” of the Arabian Nights ends at the Aladdin Disney movie. Hell even if the Arabian Nights had no none of those elements why should that limit what Magi can do? It’s not an adaption of the Arabian Nights so to suggest it should just rigidly stick to a desert setting is just plain dumb.

>Fantasy and science fiction elements
>travel across the cosmos to different worlds much larger than his own world, anticipating elements of galactic science fiction
>the heroine Tawaddud gives an impromptu lecture on the mansions of the Moon, and the benevolent and sinister aspects of the planets.
>lifelike humanoid robots and automata, seductive marionettes dancing without strings,[85] and a brass horseman robot who directs the party towards the ancient city

IT wasn't the authors fault

>Post series/shows that REALLY jumped the shark.
Magi jumped the shark when it "killed" Alibaba and then proceeded to head into a time skip that shifted the morally ambigious Sinbad from Mentor to one of the main antagonists. And as much as I like Alma Torran as an arc, David should not have been the end game villain because whenever he's around the story drags.

But the fans kill The serie user

>the morally ambigious Sinbad from Mentor to one of the main antagonist
This, they made him insane and became hard to believe this bullshit and the ending was real cringey, typical shounen shit ending

Hitman Reborn also had a weird tonal shift, from a straight up gag manga about the mafia to fujos fighting with basically magic.

It was never good in the first place.

Gyo is great. I’m still astonished at how bad the OVA is

Firepuch perfected jumping the shark and thats what made it great.

I seriously went WTF when they started challenging Illah itself in dominance of the world then went on to take on gods even higher than that thing because Ugo somehow managed to use science to beat the thing that made science possible in his universe to begin with wait wut?

Magi was comfy being sandniggers vs chink politics not this power creeping horseshit.

It went from shit to amazing because of it

Toriko had some crazy power creep in it, like at the begining capture level 10 or so was like super dangerous, but by the end capture levels just got insane.

I like how part way in the manga Komatsu just stop being ugly after eating something and they just kept him that way for along time until they randomly bring it up.

>complain about the fujoshi, who offered the author advice about cooking and was an actual chef, until she left
>turns out she was the person keeping this shit decent

>Then: weird cooking but still realistic things you could cook at home
>Now: just actual supernatural abilities

I look forward to the return of Tosh.

It's a shame that TG:re was garbage right from the get go but Ishida's cover art is very good.

>ITT cry about a series that didn't progress the way you wanted it to

Early :re up until rose arc was peak TG imo. It had everything, from comfy SOL to more world building and top tier fights. Series turned to shit the moment Ishida started to offscreen important characters

I honestly can't even believe some of these chapters actually happened

The only good that came out of Magi is ((their)) arc. They really exposed ((them))

I've never seen a series decline so fast

Yeah I won't lie I picked this up because of morgiana's feet and was kind of surprised by the heavy themes which I recall included child slavery/prostitution, mass famine/plague, societal commentary and a few other I'm surely missing since it's not so fresh on my mind, but even though I didn't get to see nearly as much morgiana and her feet I think it left me more of an impression than your typical adventure show because it went into some heavy shit without sounding too ridiculous.

aladdin a cute

>actual supernatural abilities
And Akame ga Kill rejects

Why people praise it for its "amazing" (generic) world building as opposed to sticking with the main cast of Ainz and his followers is beyond me.

Mogamet did nothing wrong though

For me it became umbareable during the hogwarts arc

This would have been a beloved cult classic for years to come, instead people look back with disdain and spite.

wait is that what happened

No, Dave was top tier, the story dragged when it focused too much on Sinbad.

Based shota.

>hogwarts
>magicians used as tools of war by aristocracy for decades
>make their own country
>improved in every way
>still hated by the rest of the world
>nearly destroyed three superpowers

The Hogwarts arc was one of the best though.

>Sex Cults
>Drugs
>Brainwashing
>Hierachy based on the taste of someones pee

The manga of Golden Boy is even more Bizzare than shit named Jojo's Bizzare Adventures.

>TG:re was garbage right from the get go
Yikes

Literally the best arc

I mean seriously
Just look at this shit

This was originally a manga about some really smart guy traveling around on a bike doing odd jobs. But then suddenly it's like the author has an ephiphany and must monologue their enlightenment on sex

Attached: 10.jpg (870x1260, 181K)

I am alright with it because my boy got the cute dino girl

The dimensional travel and sci-fi towns wasn't bad though. Was still pretty enjoyable until the final conflict

The first few episodes really got my hopes up. When they killed the genie and brought in Sinbad my interest dropped off signifcantly/
