Ichikawa's style is deceptively hard to draw, at least in my opinion. One thing that I think would help is to work on line confidence. Phos has a lot of bold curves and lines in her form, you need to loosen up and just go for it. Don't worry about perfection, you're learning. Just practice drawing simple, smooth shapes.

Even though she has lived a pretty hard life in a harsh environment, I like to think that her hands are very soft and warm.

Break the hand down into simpler structures. Everyone does it differently, so look up as many different guides as you can to get a bigger picture. Use references. Look at your own hand if you get confused, they're available whenever and for whatever position you could possibly need. Take a picture of them in the mirror if you have to, I've done it before.
Also be patient with yourself, hands are complicated to draw.

Did you use the marker making the line work or did you use the marker and then the linework? I guess the formwr because marker is a bit transparent so it doesn't fuck with the linework as much as other brushes.Whatever you did,it was smart to use marker.

It really sucks. Yea Forums welcomes drawfags with open arms, so I naively assumed that Yea Forums would be happy to have someone take requests for a specific series in their threads. But instead you get bombarded with this cynical "Oh, so you think you're SO SPECIAL" vitriol. And yes, I'm aware there are the general and waifu drawthreads but they don't always have that casual atmosphere.

What said. The linework (if you can call it that) is just the standard pencil tool.

The reason we have this "casual" atmosphere in here is because we don't do requests and deliveries. Once you have that, it's basically requests on the one side and relatively good (semi-professional) artists on the other.
In here, everybody has to draw his waifu himself, no matter his level of artistic skill. That means: Casual artists doing casual things casually, even though it's a lower quality level on average.

I guess they see it as attentionwhoring and adopting an identity, although I've never personally been recognized drawing in other threads. Once in a while, I see people bitching about people making "too much" of an effort in these threads, because it ruins their fun when drawfags go to drawing threads and draw.

What I do is sketch the whole figure roughly so I can get an idea of how the clothes wrap around the body. Think about what parts of the clothes are snug/tucked in and what are loose/flowing.

Also not everyone says this, but sometimes less is more. Don't overdo the details.

Then finalize the sketch without clothes

When you guys draw in mspaint, do you do quick pen/mouse movements or take it slow for most lines?

With a mouse, I'll take it nice and slow while quickly letting off the button for a split second every now and then so ctrl+z doesn't do too much damage. Drawing with a pen is quick movements.

With mouse i use the thickest brush and make long lines to try and make everything without using a lot o lines,when using tablet just do lots of small lines with the slimest brush,i usually do one and then go back and repeat it.
