Maybe the dedication of Murata is going against the flow, OPM is not about heroes flexing, in the original webcomic every scene we see is about power levels and how unrivaled this level is, the power we see in heroes shouldn't be the point but the tool used to attain a peak in the climax to then destroy it in less than a second by Saitama.
Any hero/evil speech, any demonstration of power, everything an actual shoenen uses to make the reader doubt the possible victory, One uses it all to create the tension of possible defeat of Saitama, of his lack of ideals and the fact that he's just a flat, joke, empty minded individual.
Point is, everyone is waiting for him to struggle, to deliver high testerone based speeches to teach Orochi/Garou/Any hero a lesson.
And the more you read it, the less you're fooled by the whole context of the joke One is playing on you, yet in the original, you're still fooled again because he's self aware of how it can be easily boring if not used well.
