The animation is choppy in places but overall this looks excellent. I think it's carried more by its extremely strong art direction and crazy storyboarding than the fluidity of its animation.

I agree that those are well executed. I'm also looking forward to the fight scenes, the 3D will allow them to make those long cuts like with houseki no kuni.

I would love it but Imaishi/Nakashima seem like they prefer to move on to the next project once they've wrapped up a story. Also, Lio and Galo are voiced by film actors so I don't know if hiring them for a series would be plausible.
