Holy shit, that was some nasty-ass shit. Especially when you saw those eyes "pop in". It was awesomely animated and it's great. Some people don't like it, but it makes sense for the last demon to "borrow" Tahomaru ans his crew Hyakkimaru's bodyparts in exchange for receiving Hyakkimaru's body once they've taken him down (finally sealing the deal). What the FUCK is your vision like with THREE eyes though? If you only need two eyes for depth perception, does a third eye really add anything of value?
I really love this episode and the last episode was good too. The show really dipped with the Moth arc, but it looks like this final arc is going to be awesome! I can't wait for next week!

The final fight between Hyakkimaru and Tahomaru takes place in a burning temple. Tahomaru eventually has a change of heart and commits suicide by driving his sword through his eye/skull, returning Hyakkimaru's sight. Nui stays by his side, intending to die with him as the temple begins to collapse. Jukai is presumably crushed by a burning pillar that he holds long enough for Hyakkimaru and Dororo to escape.
In the final confrontation with Kagemitsu, Hyakkimaru refuses to kill him, claiming that's not his path. Hyakkimaru leaves to travel alone for a time, and Dororo waits for his return.

I wondered about that too until he got most of his body parts back and then it became pretty obvious he was only getting stronger after getting used to them. I didn't even realize the spinal limitation he had until the shark episode showed he was a lot more limber and agile than he used to be. Sure, stuff like the hearing was a pain at first but once he got used to it he made exceptional use of it, he was much better than he was without it.
I can't say for sure the demons had nothing to do with it, but everything they've shown so far just seems to imply that Hyakki isn't growing stronger because demonic parts, but because those are his parts and he's turning into the man he always should have been. It also wouldn't make any sense for the demons to grant their power to him, they were trying to take his head after all, if anyone granted him boons it was Buddha and his mother's prayers meant he would always have gotten that. If Daigo hadn't lost his faith and given in to the sweet temptations of an easy and quick prosperity and power, he might have been able to raise Hyakki honorably into a figure that could bring true peace with a fighting prowess unmatched in the world, able to slay demons that threatened them and turn armies into hamburgers.
But alas, party was over before it started.
