I would even go as far as to say that the question in it of itself is invalid, presenting us with an impossible statement that x^x^x^...= 2, but I lack qualification to be completely sure about it. My reasoning is, if |x|=1, answer is 1, if |x|>1, it will certainly be divergent (to +infinity if x>0), if |x|0, x will converge, but always to 1, otherwise it will be divergent. X cannot equal 0 because 0^0 is undefined.
Again, I'm talking high-school math, not high-high math. If you know your high math, tell me where I'm wrong.
