Why do people like Vegeta so much when all he does is fail and get humiliated?
Why do people like Vegeta so much when all he does is fail and get humiliated?
Because most of his fans can relate to that
This.
He's Toriyama's step child. He doesn't want him but others like him so he's obligated to keep him around. In doing so he has allowed Vegeta to grow as a character because he hasn't regressed as a character like Goku has. In glorifying Goku and putting him front and center in everything he's ruined his own protagonist and given the most character growth to his rival.
Really great introduction
Because they're too autistic to realize that Piccolo is Vegeta but done better.
>Why do people like Vegeta so much when all he does is fail and get humiliated?
you just answered your question
same reason super hero movies are terrible and anti-heroes are the best. its relating to a mary sue, or a person.
He's a male Asuka.
hmmm... not that its going to happen, but would it make sense to give some one like vegeta a spin off series?
probably becasue after a while gohan a Piccolo essentially were squandered characters, even though Piccolo was a great Dad and taught gohan to be a great dad too. Vegeta had to learn and goku... exists... but that's it really.
I like the fanfics with Bra, and vegito is fucking terrible with kids, and it takes gohan being, a good parent to calm her down.
honestly, Gohan becoming a scientist or working for capsule corp could have been cool to.
He wouldn't even pass the torch to Gohan, Vegetable won't even beat a final boss, let alone get a show.
so. you make a story where the solution is a bit harder than a final boss.
He gets back up and tries again no matter how humiliating his existence becomes.
People tend to pine for the underdog
Because unlike Goku, Vegeta is actually there.
He keeps trying proudly regardless.
Also, Vegeta kind of embodies the original message about Dragon Ball when it came to martial arts that Roshi kept going on about - that there will always be someone out there better than you.
Vegeta was the reason Gohan won the Beam Struggle against Cell. So technically, he did defeat a final boss.
Well most people would argue that he owed Gohan that since Gohan fucked up his arm protecting Vegeta from Cell. That whole arc was a hot mess though, so many screw ups from everyone. Not hunting Dr. Gero down before creating the androids, Krillin destroying the remote, Vegeta letting cell absorb 18, Gohan fooling around with Cell. Cell deserved to win.
daddy do so many thing to make sure his son is the strongest of all .
what a big disappointment ,
and when will he bring back his daddy form dead .
Because he doesn’t up, and because of that, he is one of the strongest beings in existence, unlike faggot Gohan.
>arc where King Vegeta is revived by leftover saiyans, gets an ass pull somehow, then Goku and Vegeta have to rescure freiza from him
This. Not giving up is easy when plot hands you everything on a silver platter.
Goku has taken some serious Ls too though. He didn't win a single fight during the cell saga.
>leftover saiyan
Because manlets never learn
There's taking a loss, and then there's going out as a bigger bitch than Yamcha.
Because that makes him relatable to everybody. Everybody has failed at something at one time or another.
>and when will he bring back his daddy form dead
I don't think he can.
Isn't it impossible to resurrect someone after too many years have gone by?
Cell didn't deserve to win, he fucked around almost as much as the heroes did.
Wasted time revealing and explaining himself to Piccolo, letting everyone train to get stronger, provoking Gohan into transforming just to be a sore loser when it turned out it really did make Gohan stronger.
What's with shounenfags' obsession with power and victory? Why do they think these are the things that make a good or likable character?
This isn't even about Vegeta in particular, I just see people so often deride characters for lacking in feats or having irrelevant power levels. Why does it matter? I just don't get the logic.
because he is badass, has actual character growth. he only gets fucked over by shitty writing and the opposite of goku plot armour
i will never forget what they took from me
i pretty sure this guy die more than ten year.
A character experiences genuine hardships as well as constant jabs to his ego and you're acting incredulous people enjoy this aspect of DBZ inbetween Goku doing random shit between getting his next powerup.
Sorry he's not a fucking LN hero that just randomly trips into a conflict-destroying power?
THE PRINCE OF ALL SAIYANS AND KING OF ALL JOBBERS
Vegeta was not trained by gods and had to face the harsh reality, in a fictional universe.
>Why do people like Vegeta so much
because he is an actual character and not just a tool like Goku is
I thought you meant with the dragon balls.
Nobody can be wished back by the dragon balls after a certain amount of time has passed iirc.
