Cyber Team in Akihabara
>immortals exist
>get captured for unethical human experimentation
>untold knowledge to be gained from having perfectly 'identical' specimens to repeat trials on
>actually we just shoot them with guns lol
>Implying this smug fuck of an antag, doesn't make it worth it.
Bland battle series, only reason anyone likes it is the villain doing crazy shit. Was also pretty popular when it aired.
Generic 00s action-haremshit that was one of babby's first series for years.
Boring crap with shitty art, but at least you got something actually not well-known unlike the other schmucks.
Only 4 moths for kino
>reddit spacing
I hope that user dies
I've only ever seen one person talk about this manga and that was how i had found it
>last chapter was a flashback chapter
FUCK
His best work.
sato's the best
Why does sato keeps crashing planes into buildings?
because it was fun, but he got bored of that
Keiji is based as fuck
I really liked aijin anime till the ending where sato is yet alive again. Felt forced as shit
A must read for any Baki or Kengan Ashura fan, and has simular art to berserk
Manga is "tough" by the way.
that guy really is beast mode. That whole "hey you really can die" speech of his was stone cold.
I thought they did gain untold medical knowledge from human experimentation?
What do you mean? It's brought up on Yea Forums semi-frequently
>actually trying out new drugs in living specimens
>seeing first hand how the human body react to them, being able to open up the person and looking up everything without fear of killing the person by accident
>the perfect trining dummy for any and all transplant
>just studing anything about the human fisiology first hand out of a living human
>its also a infinity source of organs to transplant
this would change medicine as a whole, yes it would not help us whit genetic deaseas that are our bigger obstacle right now, but medicine would see a new gold age
>actually we just shoot them with guns lol
>managed to miss crash test dummies and medical trials
How does it feel to be retarded speed reader?
I liked it
It gets a bit tedious at times.
But hell, the plan to stop Sato from Allahu Akbarring the Japanese government failing because Sato got bored and fucked off was hilarious.
No reddit spacing above you, delusional idiot. Having space between replies to different people is good and unrelated to reddit.
cringe
Nice Yea Forums buzzword.
>manga I like
>popular enough to muster up a small yet comfy fanbase
>good enough to question the relatively small size of the fanbase
>want to talk about it but afraid of causing a sudden increase of outsiders that would start shitflinging about waifus or bullshit theories or some shit that would ruin the comfy atmosphere
It’s a fucking curse finding hidden gems under a pile of steaming hot shit
You can't cut an arm like that.
Kiba no Tabishounin - The Arms Peddler
But the mangaka completely stopped updating it and I have no idea why. I've searched for an answer everyhwhere and I couldn't find a reason why.
Oh fuck off you boomertard,it was better than 99% of the garbage we get today.
Axed
Mario man is the best.
Not a fan of the anime. The CG looks shitty and it doesn't follow the manga properly.
For good?
>Boomertard
>Back in my day it was better than today
Wat did he mean by this?
It was pretty fun but I wish we had more retarded shit like the dead dog race, instead of a lowstakes death tournament, and it killed the best girl completely wrote her out of the anime.
Japanese steel, folded quadrillion times.
That was pretty good but Sengoku Youko was better by far.
that's not how commas work you fucking nigger
Kurumu > Outer Moka > the rest
No, not even close.
Then again, neither reaches SC.
>Punpun
>underrated
Did I wake up in a timeline where punpun is not critically acclaimed?
kill yourself
Honestly I didn't really care for Spirit Circle.
I thought it was alright
How the hell is this underrated?
RABU RABURINTO!
Homunculus fucked me up bro
I got bored by it and dropped it. The car scene with the girl was hot though.
I think the fact that the anime is 3D animated really shot it in the foot and it's unfortunate because Ajin is so good, both the manga and the anime imo.
Read slower you absolute spastic. Tanaka's entire backstory revolves around the thing you're complaining about.
Real patrician hours
this
based Trap fuckers Brothers
Can we agree that Iku is the best girl? I loved how she and Irako had started out as lovers but later became something more like true friends.
She had lots of milf energy
>absolutely nowhere to talk about Ajin aside from the subreddit
I fucking refuse to make a reddit account. Fuck that. Why does a series this great have such a small fanbase? It's got a bunch of cute shippable twinks in the cast for the fujos and Sato the absolute madman for everyone else. It's not fair.
You start
There isn't much to talk about anyway.
Yea Forums loves this series
I read it and don't really remember much about it aside from that one chick's sister who had nice camaraderie with the MC disappearing from the main narrative altogether after a while though
It's good, though they did my boy Oton dirty.
Shame the prequel hasn't been translated, RAWS are hard to find too.
It's great, but is it underrated?
Most people I see on Yea Forums enjoy it.
It used to get threads on Yea Forums but honestly I think the anime killed them by being looking so shit.
I gave it a quick check since I haven't read the last few chapters and I figured they had them.
I've seen a few comments already praising the anime for how beautiful it looks.
What the fuck is wrong with them.
>10 fps with pretty bad models
>beautiful
Stockholm syndrome? Honestly it's a disservice to the manga's art.
>try to get into reading manga
>literally none of it is finished
how the fuck do you guys cope
It truly is suffering. I cope by following 200 different ones so I can at least read something every day.
I stop reading and then find something else to do the following days until it fades from my mind. Then a couple weeks/months later I'll either
A: remember it exists and download all the new chapters or
B: See it mentioned on Yea Forums and download all the new chapters
Keeping up regularly is a pain. This goes double for monthly manga like tsugumomo where if I actually remembered and waited I would be dying.
You can just use a tracker (sites like mangadex have it built in even if you don't use the sites to read manga) or even just write shit down in a word/notepad file or something you know
Has anyone read No Longer Human from Junji Ito? I like it but ffs he only updates it like once per year or something.
whats the name
Fuck Vagabond's author and Miura. Lazy hacks.
Pretty sure Vagabond is "finished" with that museum exhibit the author did a few years back. He's coming back to continue Real now too.
Cringe and edgepilled.
Author of vagabond has returned. I just begun vagaond as well. Pretty good desu
I'm well aware there are easy ways to keep track of updates. However I honestly am not good at waiting so I prefer to put it out of my mind and binge every once in a while instead.
>how the fuck do you guys cope
By not taking it seriously
I usually read however many chapters are out and forget about it afterwards. 15 pages a week just doesn't cut it, It's a fucking drag so I just stop caring
Manga is a trash hobby. It's braindead writing that requires effort to keep up with it. But at least it's free
>ajin
i might give this a watch.
>cg
oh well i think i can get past that. as long as it doesnt drop down into slide show levels of framerate.
criminally underrated
>look how cool I am, I don't care about anything
i actually cringed from this post
Shigurui.
I bet you collect anime dolls
I'd be surprised if most Baki and KA fans haven't already read it.
>It's braindead writing
Eh, I'll admit there are many series where they feel like the author doesn't have any idea what they're doing and just stalling but they aren't all that bad.
It gets good i swear
Are you toying with me? I'm afraid to google it I don't want to be disappointed.
>manga series ended last month
>still no signs of anime getting a second season
>fandom is really small and quiet
Just end my suffering, desu.
Not nearly as popular as it deserves to be considering the quality of the art and the worldbuilding.
I read this up to a point, remember enjoying it but still dropped it anyway for reasons I can't remember, had no idea it was still ongoing. The author himself is pretty critically well-received in Japan IIRC.
>manga that actually ends
>no shitty anime sequel released
Literally my dream.
>fandom is really small and quiet
Having some threads would be nice I guess.
You're kidding right? Also does no one in this thread understand not popular != underrated ? Not to mention made in abyss is fairly popular. Did you miss the last 2 years?
>Did you miss the last 2 years?
Did you? It has a dedicated fanbase, but it's not really big.
>popular != underrated
Fair point, but a large number of people also immediatelly dismiss it as "that pedoshit manga".
>tons of threads while anime aired
>continued getting a decent number afterward
>posted all over Yea Forums
Yeah I'd say it's fairly popular all things considered. Not many manga are megapopular enough to have constant threads.
Cestvs. It's about a slave boxer in ancient Rome and the art is really fucking good. Only problem is that the weekly chapters end too quickly so it's better to let it pile up.
I'm reading this (well the sequel now). It's solid though I feel like a lot of the fights are repetitive in how they play out.
>continued getting a decent number afterward
Those are (were, since they stopped appearing altogether some time ago) mostly hugboxes with a small number of actual people discussing the manga. Again, a dedicated but not really numerous fanbase.
I must also say that I consider it underrated when taking into account the actual quality of the work. For instance, I legit consider Tsukushi'a art to be better than, say, Murata's.
>Tsukushi'a art to be better than, say, Murata's.
wrong
Wish this didn't get cut short, Natsuo was really the only character the author managed to fully flesh out. There clearly was supposed to be more to what happened to her brother for example but there was no time for it and the entire narrative suffers for it.
Right.
Based scizo samurai kino
The lore and worldbuilding is good, but the pedoshit ruins it for me and others
>inb4 normalfag
Also Murata is objectively better
Devils Line looked generic as hell but the art work looks nice.
>the pedoshit
There is no pedoshit in MiA, just some innocent boy's light fetishes.
>Murata is objectively better
Nah. He has slicker and cleaner lineart, but Trsukushi's work is much more stylish and atmospheric.
Unironically I prefer that MiA page to this one.
Murata art may be objectively better, but i prefer this.
>Thread's been up for 10 hours and not one user has mentioned this unironic masterpiece.
>objectively
The word you are looking for is "technically".
They did all that
SHAFT anime when?
How long does Ajin have before it ends? I've been buying the volumes but I'm a few from being up to date. I heard it was edging closer toward its endgame soon.
I’d say give the series a try, user. If you’re into “man-eating monsters trying to find coexistence with humans” fiction or supernatural/vampire romance then you’ll like Devils’ Line. It’s basically a better written Tokyo Ghoul but with a bigger emphasis on adult romance.
Yo can only cut her ribbon at a 45degree angle.
Absolute trash
I remember reading the blurb on Vertical's website when the first series came out and it didn't sell me at all on the series but I'll give it a try. Plot reminds me of Parasyte a little I guess with humans and monsters trying to co-exist in peace.
yes he's works awesome, but he's never wrote a snonenshit story so no recognition here
good stuff
here another one:
It's not that bad really. It takes a while to get used to, but I guess most netflix watchers got used to it with knights of sidonia. It's still better than the shit most studios do with their cheap LN adaptions
Gatekeeping is for autistic people you fucking degenerate.
Gatekeeping is for absolute patricians. They know that following basic rules and etiquette is what keeps a community of any kind good.
That also means that no one is actually kept out if they just show some minimum of respect.
There's literally no argument against gatekeeping but there will invariable some straw man brought up against it.
instant bullet
>Underrated
English seems to be your second language.
Have yet to see someone mention Reiri
I mean you brought up the main argument against it, people who do like a thing are rendered unable to talk about it sufficiently. There's autistic gatekeeping and then there's simply talking about something while not spoonfeeding absolute retards asking stuff that a google search would answer.
Nah, the author didn't know where he was going with it and it flopped for a good reason. At least he made it big with Kaguya.
One of my favorite antags all time
Sad the scans stopped
-ES- Eternal Sabbath
Nejimaki Kagyuu
There's only one chapter left right?
I quite it enjoyed the whole thing. Shoe the mad man.
The Dororo anime. :(
>Have yet to see someone mention Reiri
thank you for fixing it
patrician taste
>author just fucking disappeared and never made another manga again
well there was that one shot with nisio, but it will be just a waste if he never made another one, he got improved with his art throughout the years
the growth of glasses-kun is so fuxking good im creaming my pants just thinking about it
I'm still mad about the fact that the absolutely retarded mystery manga he made got fully scanned and translated while his 10/10 manga still isn't translated
Why the fuck is all this guy's shit cancelled?
His art is amazing and the character interactions are cute.
I just finished the manga last night. I don't get why he ended it as if he still had plans for another season.
+1 Dororo
youtube.com
Friendly reminder that Tanaka back story is based on this dude
still have no fucking proper epilogue where we can see adult moka and tsukune
I'm still fucking MAD
Best cooking manga of all time
>no mention of Noah of the Blood Sea
I still hope that r*ddit spacer dies
>yes he's works awesome
*Yes, his work's awesome
I don't think that anything that has anime series and movies and live-action Is underrated.
Akumetsu
This is the angriest manga I've ever read.
He did know. He just got axed early and couldn't finish it. Doubt he'll ever come back to it though.
Criminally underrated how rarely this comes up
fuck the sequel worse than garbage
Thanks, user. I hope you'll like it as much as I do.
Wish the animation didn't butchered as much as they did.
So many stuff they left out or changed.
It still ongoing, but translations are extremely slow and the author has a desease or some shit, so he's slow af too.
>criminally underrated thread
>people confusing "underrated" with "doesn't get enough global attention"
Or am I the confused one here? I would think 'underrated' would mean 'it is generally rated lower than it deserves,' not "this should be more popular/generally known"
Posts in here like Shigurui and made in abyss don't belong imo- they're very highly-rated even if they aren't 100% mainstream.
Where do I read this? Looks like nobody is translating this shit.
It's on crunchuroll behind a paywall. What's a manga reader site that has licensed series and is not cancer like kissmanga?
doesn't feel like it goes anywhere, doesn't feel like anything really happens. Just like a clusterfuck that continues. With the best writing that seemed pre conceived in the flash backs which was the story at the best.
The rest felt really hit or miss huh? And the ending, it's not that it's just wtf, it just felt like it happened without real build up. Here is a plot device just fight over it you mangy dogs. Not a lot of char growth/development etc
Literally this new
It was surprisingly mediocre.
I know mangadex is standard but it doesn't have licensed series.
It does but there are some missing ones on there
Not with that attitude.
I should probably read that some time given how much I love Bakuon Rettou and am trying to do my part in spreading awareness of it. Tetsuwan Girl was great too until the weird point where it turned into a crime thriller and then time skipped like 50 years for the last chapter.
>and am trying to do my part in spreading awareness of it.
Try harder.
Kind of reminds me of Hanakaku. The author seemed to have more ideas for it going by the last chapter so I don't know if it was cancelled or what but at the same time it still was able to tell its story effectively and completely so I can't complain. Also Oda loved it.
I liked it for the premise of assasin martials vs deadly wrestling but somewhere along the way it changed to which foot is stronger unless I was reading/watching two different works by the same author
>assasin
as·sas·sin
best gamble manga, and still have like 250+ chapters to go
wish we got more sexy pages of her, only have one of her laying naked on a bed. do you know what chapter is that?
Try Mangarock
Added this to my backlog, sounds interesting (oddly cutesy volume covers though)
I'm confused, you're literally describing the events of the manga
Heh
No idea how this isn't a cult classic. It's unironically the best manga I've ever read
>Also Oda loved it.
You mean he loved Hanakaku or Teppu? Any source?
The SnK mangaka once recommended both Teppu (aka Iron Wind) and All Rounder Meguru.
link: mtv.com
There's this reference to SnK in Teppu.
>veiny tits
Picked the fuck up.
the only manhwa that doesnt suck
He loved Hanakaku. He drew a sketch for the book wrapper for volume 3.
Arashi no Yoru ni
>underrated
Translations for the other one please?
wasn't it axed? I don't know if im sexist but I can't take girls purely punching each other in the face as the focus. shit is just jarring
I see this every time and I've tried to give a read but everytime I drop it for some reason? whats the story here?
It's not a hardcore MMA series as much as it is just a small girl wanting to prove to herself that she's not weak since she failed to stand up for her friend. She spends most of the match getting her legs kicked into oblivion and her opponent is portrayed (and often drawn as) monstrous, beastial and psychotic to reflect her own mindset as well as making her appear that much more intimidating.
In the end it told the story it set out to tell so even if it got cancelled it's necessarily bad.
>She spends most of the match getting her legs kicked into oblivion
doesn't sound like a good time, especially with the moe art likie what was the author thinking?
His cap is the true body it is indestructible and always finds its way back on top of his head somehow magically.
Janky CGI kinda made it strange to watch.
Dude loves himself a flat cap and suspenders way too much.
>that part where he teleported in naked
>wore a cop's tactical harness like suspenders and STILL found a hat like his lying around
>watch
not
>read
Gamon sakurai's art makes it totally worth it
speed reading nigger faggot
The final arc sucked, but the manga was fantastic.
Good thing for you, the manga isn't CGI.
Kino
>tfw no other manga with a comfy warcrime committing WWI SWAT team subplot
My nigger.
I really liked this insignificant jobber, his death really shook me for some reason and hes now my wallpaper
For some reason, Kingdom doesn't appear much around here
Felt the same way. I didn't know his name, just seen him in a few friendly interactions off-side of most of the plot and his death isn't felt any stronger than a grim, "Man down" while everyone moves on. Something about those couple of pages carry a lot of weight.
My wife Rin is the cutest.
it's like the guy just wanted to draw guns and thought of the most retarded plot possible
the short lovestory with the cloned girl was great though
>what was the author thinking?
Probably wanted to write a good story but otaku were like muh!!! moe get fucking axed
I like the plot especially when Rin is ordered to make Kenzaki fall in love with her. Observing an emotionless character is what I like the most.
I wish the goddamn official translations for this series weren't digital only. As is I'm maybe one of a half-dozen people here who actually reads this series and event rying to get people I know who are into manga to read it is a non-starter because "hurr durr ballet".
I plan on reading this at some point. I keep not wanting to start more ongoing manga but then end up doing it anyway.
I'm still confused about Kurumu unless I skipped a page or something Wasn't she suppose to die if Tsukune fell in love with Moka?
Kanade is the purest MC that's not Yotsuba.
Why is Sato so fuckable for an old guy?
Imagine the fetishes and kinks in a relationship between two demi-humans.
Easily one of the greatest manga I've ever read, but I never see anybody talk about it. I highly doubt its underrated by anyone, but it makes me sad that I never see anyone mention it.
Has Godzilla ever had a manga? Is it any good?
>doesn't get a sequel
>literal trash Baki does
Fuck this gay earth
Sounds pretty based to me, user
Sato is not for lewd
And that was his whole motivation.
Let's attack japan because 9/11 looked fun to do.
Chaotic evil in corpore.
evil as in self interested only, not as in malevolent to others, an incorrect perception.
Retard
>Manga is a trash hobby. It's braindead writing that requires effort to keep up with it.
>Requires effort
Just set a watchlist or tracker that gives you updates on the shit you like to read. Takes literally 3 seconds to setup.
It's boxing, there isn't really much they can do.
Read it, didn't really care about anyone in it. Didn't actually seem to have a point to anything in it either, just shit happening in a shittyplace.
Picked it up.
He hasn't posted since December. I hope he's okay.
god i wish this wasnt 3dcgi. Please tell me they saw the error of their ways with the third season.
One of my favorites.
I liked this one.
sooo is the protag a poof? i mean he seems a tad poofy when hes talking about the dude that saved him at the start.
>are they trying to appeal to femcels by making him have conversations that could almost be interpreted as being faggot-like?
>poof
What.
One of the worst shonen crap ever
Autistic trash. Good thing that guy later made something so kino like Innocent
She grew up.
He definitely didn't. It was clear as the manga was ending that he had had enough.
it drags a bit in the middle. But it's a fantastic work
>he recommended meguru
absolutely based. it's about twice as good as teppu. Or maybe i just disliked the drama in teppu, while slice of life with normie-jap-boy is amazing?
>disliked the drama in teppu
Teppu is good in its exploration of the MCs and her rival's low-key obsessions and borderline insanities. They and they way they treat fighting are extremely fucking fascinating to watch. The drama is much less important.
The prequel was better.
kek
i know it's an interesting concept, story just didn't grip me so hard, because the MC is a psychopath.
Rikudou is good as well, people should read that
>because the MC is a psychopath.
But that's the best part.
Real is incredibly underrated.
yeah fuck, i want to read more REAL, but i forgot about it. talk about underrated.
who knew wheelchair basketball could be so exciting
This by far, and to whoever's been releasing it almost daily recently is a god among men.
People are interested in Meguru mostly for its technical side. I don't think the characters are good.
I like how understated most characters are. The only character with traditional manga motivations is dumbfuck karate sasuke, while the main cast thankfully has a very grounded and realistic motivation.
I think it's fresh.
I never see threads for it so
I saw at least two yesterday.
Don't toy with me user, it's one of my favourites. It's really true?
what is this?
>the absolutely retarded mystery manga
You mean absolutely brilliant, you fucking heretic
its good but i still dont understand what the fuck tis the point about the guy who ate the girl and became her
Outlaw star
Just finished this, it was suprisingly good even though the left to right was a bitch to get used to again after all this time.
A manga.
there was that one where the kid helps his dad murder women that was decent
