What are they even about
Mondaiji Tachi is about 3 teenagers that have supernatural abilities and someday receive a letter, when they open it and read it's contents they are summoned by a bunny girl to the world of Little Garden, a world created by gods and where things are decided through gift games. Main male MC looks really overpowered in the beginning but it's only because he is in the lowest digit of Little Garden, there's a lot of characters as strong or stronger than him later. No harem or romance, the characters and their interactions are fun and they get development too, story is really good for a Isekai and the world is interesting. Pic related are the 3 MC's.
DD is about edgy politics, highly advanced mind games for intelligent people such as myself and other things that have absolutely nothing with defending dungeons
I haven't seen much Isekai but I really liked NGNL and TenSura. ill start to watch some more this summer when I'm done with finals.
>no harem
picked up
Fuck off, that's not me. The description isn't to far off though, considering the community. Also the LN is actually, while being extremely edgy, pretty great.
>Slime Tensei
Unapologetic power fantasy and general comfy city-building for when I want the fantasy equivalent of eating a whole chocolate cake
>NGNL
The girls are hot as hell
Still looking for isekai stories that aren't cringeworthy edgy shit.
Konsuba is pretty great. You could also give DD a try
Isekai nonbiri nouka, its just comfy
Gentlemen with refined taste
Pic related.
Shame the anime got cancelled, novel translations died because of some things getting blown out of proportion.
pic related
His enemies are idiots and he relies on coincidences and the deus ex machina that is the spirits to solve all his problems
too bad MC is gay
Ascendance of a Bookworm
Is prisma Illya isekai?
Magical Girl is for me.
IsekaiNTR. The sex scene is well written.
who made me a princess
I hear that the manga finished the first volume already?
It's not a 'typical' Isekai setup. But it's very entertaining. GATE THE JSDF FOUGHT THERE
Izayoi a shit.
Worse than Kirito and Touma
Shinju no Nectar.
There are certainly ways it could have been even better, but it does some things I wish more would copy.
Oh hey Izayoi a shit user.
>mummies are discriminated and hated
>two chapters later mummy waifu removes her bandages and reveals they all look like normal human beings without them
>mummies don't do that and instead choose to be discriminated and hated because ????
That was so dumb.
checked
I can still hope for a new WN chapter this year.
Cutesy story aside, I don't get that either. Then again, you have a town that allows various classes of undead such as skeletons and vampires to live together with humans.
I like how the world treats the MC with some adversity. Normally isekai world treat their MCs like a saint (if they aren't some grimdark world for the sake of grimdarkness)
not a single character I didn't like in this
You are beyond saving
If you want good isekai you need to look back at works that predate the standardization of the genre.
Escaflowne and Rayearth both come to mind. Anime for the former and manga for the latter.
Really? Not even the horrible MC?
there's very few tensei series that doesn't involve the MC shacking up with underaged love interests
but unlike them at least he gets his ass kicked for it
I Was Naked When I Reached the Other World
EVERY.TIME.
What do you expect, it's just a dumb self insert isekai user.
Enjoyment will be even better in a few chapters.
That exterminator guy who goes around overlevelling from holocausting pests and fucking brothel bitches across the realm
The Black Summoner, I also enjoy
Re:Monster is entertainingly shitty
That one guy who domesticates a wolf super-beast thingy by using an overpowered cooking skill
Arifureta is also entertainingly shitty, and I love the ink rich drawings
Does Sono Mono, Nochi ni count as an isekai?
Shinju no Nectar
Shinju no Nectar
>Everyone is dumb or evil except for me and my waifus.
The use of the reverse-isekai and dream element was well done, and most importantly the elf is cute.
Why isn't he trying to memorize things to bring simple technology over?
Eminence in Shadow. When will Shadow-sama fuck that cute elf with silver hair, blue eyes and a mole under her eye? She is obviously perfect for him.
Potion loli
Slave Harem
Nidome (this needs it's anime back)
God this needs an anime.
I read up to the latest chapter and didn't even know there was a manga
pic related, MC is pretty chill and the side characters are fun, also he's strong stat-wise but not completely overpowered.
thanks, i've made my list of isekai to avoid even bigger with this
best not talked about isekai
I did not expect Delta to look like that. And I'm fine with it.
the flat elves vs big bust elves made me repick up this series
I like that Diablo is definitely very powerful but not limitlessly so, and is still bound by the weaknesses of Sorcerers against people of a similar "level". He still pales in comparison to a TRUE demon lord's limitless mana and he doesn't have access to his inventory, meaning he's stuck with whatever gear he had on or what he can obtain in this current world.
This is one of the only ones for me. MC has no special powers other than what they know from their previous life. In fact, they're weak as shit.
No fucking video game prompts or other extremely lazy tropes.
Who is the best Seven shadow and why is Beta? Epsilon is fine too.
Nothing worse than something getting daily updates suddenly having its translations die. Leaves a hole in your day.
Qwaser got an anime and it was worse. Just wait for Nectar to get longer.
this it?
Delta
That's also done some stupid things.
>tfw just got gwen's book
remember to support your waifu lads
>longer
30 monthly chapters, roughly the equivalent of 60-70 weekly chapters. Nectar has more than enough content for a season as is, though it would need to wait longer if they want to do a 2 cour.
I do think it's only a matter of time though. Their last work did alright, Nectar itself is actually good and would work well as an anime, and as far as ecchi isekai manga/LNs go it's very TV-friendly compared to the likes of, say, Slave Harem or Parallel Paradise.
Delta is a dumb smelly dog, and is too stupid to properly wife
Beta pls.
I enjoy most isekai except edgy revenge shit.
I'm really fond of the isekai drug dealers.
Moon-led Journey across another world, its pretty good
It still has a few problems, the current biggest one being the author not writing more WN chapters, which is also preventing future spider and dragon pregnancies.
damn it, so how far are we in the WN?
didn't make it through the first chapter. the whole "I'm the most powerful there is but I can't stand to have my face see the light of day" was so cringy I couldn't keep reading.
He is supposed to come off as a cringey autist.
Granted, that doesn't really work because the story treats his shit seriously and ultimately he does the same shit most isekai MCs do while the story tries to pass it off as some sort of ironic parody.
Isekai Tensei Soudouki is probably the one I enjoy the most.
What the fuck. Alpha a shit, Beta a best
I don't know what was changed for the LN that the manga is based on, but it's roughly at chapter 60 of about 300 from the WN.
I like this one because the MC is a cat
This. Didn't care about it till he put on the mask.
They fuccd?
No, but the latest WN arc had developments that seemed to finally break though the dense MC effect. There should have been more events to work toward that goal than there were in earlier chapters, but he was going to give some people an answer at the end of the arc that was nearly over.
I was in the mood for some edgy shit so I read both nidome and kaifuku. I liked how they had almost identical starts, but ultimately I'm enjoying edgyhealer more because the author figured out who the main antagonist will be. That said, I think I'd like Nidome more if it could get its shit together and make the princess an active antagonist too.
sucks that the WN, LN, were put on permanent hiatus by the author and anime got cancelled/axed because some people got butthurt over things the author had said in the past on twitter.
MC was starting to consider it and then author went on hiatus.
The series was generic shit so nothing of value was lost.
For once the chinks' censorship autism did something good.
fucking hell
From chapter 289:
>She is an important family member after all.
>…Family huh.
>Now that I think about it, using that as an excuse, I have done something cruel to Mio. And I might have hurt Tomoe as well with it.
>That’s probably why she broke so grandly when the talk about children was brought out.
>Regarding Mio, there’s also the issue with Rokuya-san and… damn it.
>When I leave here and return to Tsige, I must resolve myself properly regarding that matter.
>Leaving aside the other matters, I have already reached an answer regarding those two a long time ago after all.
>nip authors are so adverse to romantic development that they are literally incapable of writing it and end up going on hiatus
I was like, since they decided to make his delusion true, make him realize it's actually happening, at least we'd get rid of the cringe
There weren't nearly enough attempts by Mio or Tomoe within the earlier chapters to get him to look at them as more than just family, but at least we got a few unintentional ones. With the manga artist's avoidance of proper nudity in the manga, I don't know how the onsen chapters will be drawn.
Mai nigga.
Did he fuck Asuka and (You)?
fucking hiatus REEEEEEEE
The artist is gay, right? Dude likes drawing Makoto's body way too much.
Female I think.
Didn't know what I was expecting with this one. I fucking love Schnee.
nice get and !putin is probably the best isekai protagonist
I wish.
Any romantic development at least?
Which is a subset of whaaat~?
the only right choice here
Nah. MDJ doesn't do that. If it did, I think it would lose one of its great charms. They are all precious comrades of the same community, but they are also problem children who messes around and aid in trouble-making and wouldn't hesitate for a second to hold back against each other in a rivalry sense, whether it's to pull pranks or in battle. It's that kind of thing.
Risou no Himo Seikatsu is top tier comfy.
>No harem stuff
>Politics are interesting
>Nice backdrop and world
>Fun couple
>No save the world stuff, just relationship and worldbuilding
>A protagonist actually manages to become a father in one of these and not immediately die.
I guess my only complaint is it's rather slow and would never work as an animated work, but aside from that I love it.
The author should just f*** him/herself. Just develop the characters relationship already!!
A shame the wife sucks and whores her husbands for ships,
What chapter is this on?
>whores her husbands for ships,
Wait what
>No harem stuff
Maybe a good thing in some other manga, but when the setting allows and encourages a harem, that's when it's really needed. Something else I read suffered from avoiding the natural harem too.
The Manga is definitely better than the anime. More boobs and ass for one
It has been a while but IIRC she pretty much forces him to marry another woman (despite him making clear over and over that he doesn't want to do that) to get her nation's naval power or something like that.
Not quite enough nipples for Rory and Lelei, but twitter and pixiv help with that. Those two just don't help with everything when Rory keeps covering herself.
>those yaoi hands
And a fujo. She's retweeted a fair amount of BL stuff. Bet she has a private folder of Makoto/Shiki stuff.
NAAA
NA NA NA NA NA
NA NA NA NA NA
In the light novel or manga? Manga stopped when they got the wild rider-dragons about to attack the city.
>but when the setting allows and encourages a harem,
Its a plotpoint the harem would be really bad in his particular case, and its part of the political dance he has to do despite just wanting to sit in his room and play videogames all day. If he had kids with someone else it might start a war.
LN.
Well thats disappointing. Manga made her really fun and it sucks she gets ruined later.
What's going to happen with Root then? I can't imagine anything good. I think this is the most female nudity posted publically on twitter, and it's non tsuki ga. I wonder if she has any private that's Makoto and Mio/Tomoe.
Read The Wandering Inn.
Yes
Beta and gamma a shit.
I can't.

it was really satisfying to read kaidou kanata death, that little shit really deserved it

This was hell scenario for me
For me, it's Brutal Legend

It's always nice to see a fellow Aseliabro.
There's no graphite
UPDATE NEVER
I liked it enough to pick up the current translation for it
Unfortunately the mummies in this are dumb as all hell. They're pretty much just regular looking people wearing bandages, and there are no negative side effects to taking off the bandages. The fuck was even the point of having them be a separate and distinct race?
Probly next year or year after that at most.
So MC could make the mummy waifu fall for him by not being a racist cunt.
Yes, once dorf fucking happens it will be 11/10
3rd game when?
I hope we get plenty of dorf fucking.
Until he fucks his bitches, i say it sucks.
Dungeon Seeker was about the right length for what it was
So probably the last volume? I can't expect it to be done properly and have it happen earlier.
Sadly the writer quits because of nip-nip bullying.
I think the closest thing to romance we got in Mondaiji is Kuro Usagi starting to develop romantic feelings for Izayoi almost 20 volumes and she still doesn't understand her own feelings, can't decide if this is funny or sad.
She's three hundred years a maiden, I don't see her figuring it out quickly.
Shit taste thread?
I like Digimon Adventure, but I don't think it really counts in this sense. Aside from that: NGNL, KonoSuba is pretty fun, I've enjoyed the first novels of Youjo Senki and Overlord but haven't gotten too far
Oh, and Isekai Maou. Slipped my mind somehow even though I just ordered a few of the translated novels
wait really? I thought it was just on hiatus wtf
That's the first I heard about that, where's the source?
Only pic related gets real romantic development and a harem.
If I'm not wrong, there are a lot of comment on the webnovel site. And some of nip person blaming other nip-nip for saying unreasonable.
supreme shit taste
Are any of those from the author, or is it just people speculating on why he disappeared? There are retweets on twitter from the author so he isn't dead, but there are no messages posted there recently.
I just hope that was really true, but when you dig on the comment deeper and deeper, all I can say is holy shit that fucked up.
Yeah, gotta give Kuro Usagi a break, it must be complicated for her, having all these new and unknown feelings that she never experienced before in her long life.
HE RAN CAUSE HE IS ACTUALLY A GIRL AND DOESN'T WANT BOW VIRGIN TO FUCK
Clown-kun?
this is a rec thread
where are the jannies
begone
goood shit
what happened? oh shit what happened senpai?
Did not realize this was still getting translated. Good shit.
If the bow virgin did, his accuracy would make pregnancy happen the first time every time. Maybe even anyone nearby would suddenly be pregnant too
honestly the only isekai i plan on keeping up with. most everything else is just author surrogate wish fulfillment harem bullshit
>Literally kira and lacus
Behold the ultimate isekai mecha gender barter while not a harem.
This.
mc looks like a reverse trap
The only answer
Taishiman has an isekai?
Izayoi never looked like a reverse trap to me, maybe it's just in that black and white illustration that he gives you that impression?
Fuck, now I see it.
Yeah i think so, this one is better
>NGNL
The jibril* is hot as hell
That NGNL prequel or whatever it was supposed to be was legitimately good.
It even made me cry even though I never expected isekai to cause any emotional response in me other than amusement and digust.
fagote spotted
god damn it user is this a harem again
this was basically thinly disguised hentai, but hey, i'm not saying it was bad
GOOD SHIT
I've read probably 80 different trashy isekai manga over the past couple of months and I don't recognize about half of these
Good lord, there's just so many of them
What have you read that isn't trashy?
>Isekai Mahou is still dead
Goddamit, just when Suimei is about to come back on earth, it died.
How about the few finished ones? Then it would be definitely this one.
I know a lot of people hated him but unironically the MC and the world feeling alive carried this story for me, the girls were so so and a bonus. Definitely my #1 narou isekai.
I've watched or read literally everything I saw posted in this thread. I feel awful for that.
Anyway Faraway Paladin is my current favorite Japanese isekai.
AHHHHHHHH
Yea i enjoyed reading it. My only thing is how are they going to fuck up the anime.
Rudi is not even the true MC really. He just sets up the fight and dies before the true battle even happens.
>isekai
>isn't trashy
ha ha ha ha ha
top tier weeb nice
>implying the author will ever continue the series
I actually enjoy Hyakuren, fucking sue me. The novel is competently written and the MC and girls are all likeable.
The protag is just everyone's big brother figure, no romance on it.
This is clearly a rec thread that's not even veiled but I'll post anyway because I want to shill Dendro more
I mean, it's isekai manga, almost all of them have that same stereotypical big titty blonde elf girl companion and protagonists purchasing slaves now, I've just tried to embrace the trashiness and read stuff about high school boys being reincarnated as succubi
I've noticed most of the ones with female protagonists avoid a lot of the trashiness though, like Saving 80,000 Gold Coins, So I'm a Spider, Vengeful White Cat, and some of the otome villainess destruction ones, all fun reads, not that trashy
This is one of those WNs/LNs that aren't suited for anime format. For example if you've ever read Konosuba compared to other adaptions it's almost 1:1 with the anime, which is fantastic for the series in question getting adapted. Now if you've ever checked Overlord on the other hand, even in the first season you will see how they changed the tone completely not to mention the usual butchering.
I think for MT adaptionwise it's going to be the latter and they will mostly focus on fanservice.
The anime 'adaptation' hurts it a lot, people have hilariously wrong opinions about it now
I assume they want to. Rudus's fight against the Human god was left really open.
The real downer is
>They will never make it to the creation of the magic armor or the fight against Orsted
>This is one of those WNs/LNs that aren't suited for anime format.
True, but we are getting it anyway. I bet it will be him being born and up to the end of the return home arcs. So it will miss out on some of the best parts of the whole story. His hype as fuck fight with Orsted, the fights for Cliff and Zanoba's home countrys etc.
It is a good story but it only works if you can show the pay offs. They do not have the time in 24 eps even to do it.
Loli usagi and older Izayoi when.
It's got a ton of pacing issues, but I still have the OG isekai high on my list.
Does MC fuck his girls?
Eventually, but his childhood friend comes first.
Those Who Hunt Elves is the best OG isekai.
Yea they will probably stop around vol 6 with his first sex with Eris and the second fight with Orsted is the best fight in the whole series.
However the thing is even what they adapt they might just go with manga route as in taking out everything else and just showing the main plot events.
But what you should be concerned about is how they're glossing over even those main events in the manga, like they completely skipped the new original LN volume which I was looking forward to reading since it's not tl'ed yet.
They also skipped/cut the whole Shirone arc and the MC first meeting Zanoba which was changed completely. They didn't even characterize Zanoba as this bloody unstable Miko when the MC first met him. On the other hand they added these useless arc's, like the mercenary guy attacking the beastmen village which served no purpose whatsoever and was kind of a filler.
So all in all it's looking grim. But hopefully they manage to somehow salvage it.
You know i aint touched the manga. The 24 novel volumes is what i read. Is it really bad? I fucking hate when they do this to a series. Stupid changes for stupid reasons. I know in manga form they can't go in to to much detail but come on. You can show flashbacks to Zanoba ripping off his wifes head with his miko abilitys without meaning to.
Maybe when all the crazy shit that is happening in the Sun authority war in LE is over, or when Tarou decides to write an short story about their 3 year trip with Kuro Usagi already lolified.
It's not just the Shirone arc, even in the beginning as an example they completely skipped how Lilia was first sort of afraid and disgusted of the MC and his antics as a baby and how she kept noticing these things. In general they toned down the violence and also 'negative aspects' of the storyline by a notch, like I don't think they showed how Ariel attacked Sylphy at first with a dildo and tried to rape her and the general degeneracy of the Asura nobles.
This is why I said that MT really isn't suited for anime format, the editor is obviously avoiding in showing these things to the wider audience and understandably so.
I assume the set up kidnapping went out the window as well?
I will say i do not like when things get cut for pre-outrage damage control.
The world he gets sent to has, noble degerates, slut elves loads of drinking and people becoming adults at 15.
One thing i will never get, if you send a protagonist to another world. Why does that world seem to have middle ages european fantasy but modern Japanese rules? Like most Isekai MCs refuse to drink most of the time. It pulls you out of it sometimes. Especially when they are born in to the world and grew up in to it.
>MC is too blind to see Mom Tai before him
Oh, I enjoy that one too, OP, but it's not for the MC.
>I assume the set up kidnapping went out the window as well?
Akchually the Ariel assassination event follows up after this in the manga. Some of the changes were obviously from the LN as well since the manga is following that, mostly.
>slut elves
Well, with her at least they are TRYING to imply that she's like that even though they didn't even mention how she had this passionate sex with Badigadi who traveled with her and fucked her brains out.
>One thing i will never get, if you send a protagonist to another world. Why does that world seem to have middle ages european fantasy but modern Japanese rules? Like most Isekai MCs refuse to drink most of the time
Oh for sure. It's not about drinking but bowing your head on every single occasion which I've noticed happens often in narou novels or otherworlders using Japanese mannerisms and so on.
just* about drinking
The drinking thing gets me. As if you know anything about middle ages europe. Drinking ale's,beers and wine were safer than drinking water to an extent. Head bowing, hot springs culture and stuff can be explained if they have a country that has a Japanese feel to it. But most of them do not have anything like this set up.
That Smartphone one has it and that is a the most trash of trash isekaithat i do enjoy as a guilty plesure and will read the book now i seen the anime
Europe (Especially the Greeks and Romans) had a hot springs culture, but they were mainly for literal retreats for the rich to bathe in and get religious service (+ "religious service") in.
>another world religion
>catholic nuns
every time
True. But most are set in the 10th-17th century europe. France, Germany and obviously England seem to be the major influnces.
I would kill for an Isekai in Roman or Greek setting with propper battles and tactics.
>I was sent to another world with my cute sister to help the spartans.
It is either that or fucking shrine maidens. To be honest they steal from Norse culture so much anyway i wonder why they don't use pagan priestesses so much.
Miko girls are rare in isekai actually
Besides what other isrkai have straight up non-shinto pagan priestesses?
I would like to know as well. All the ones i have read have Nuns.
Did it used to be a thing in anime where the Japanese thought nuns were just Western shrine maidens and so occasionally there'd be a boy-crazy teenage nun character who'd go around talking about how she really wanted to get married someday? Someone told me that once but I've never actually seen an example of it
Since you brought up drinking and Smartphone it reminded me how anime did a complete 180 on drinking alcohol compared to LN.
>But most are set in the 10th-17th century europe. France, Germany and obviously England seem to be the major influnces.
I don't know about France or England, but Germany (HRE) had hot springs for the lords that they would chill out in and invite people into to talk about diplomacy.
>I would kill for an Isekai in Roman or Greek setting with proper battles and tactics.
Try reading Isekai Kenkokuki or GATE for the Roman aesthetics despite the Nip wank. I'm sure you can find more if you check out some novel sites using historical tag or try looking through the Minotaur listings/homebrews.
>I hate potatoes
Potatoes are the wonder vegetable. Literally saving millions from death except the Irish.
Well the only anime that even comes close to what you said that i have seen is not an Isekai. Chrono Crusade. Nuns fighting off Japanese devils.
What's with the author of Mob & Sevens and his hatred about woman?
DIS IS ANTI-IRISH AND I DEMAND IT BE GONE NOW.
any isekai that features youkai, ninja/samurai, or foreigners from japan's isekai analogue usually referred to as "the mysterious nation to the east" will typically have at least 1 character with the shrine maiden garb
In A Certain Magical Index, Index claims to be a "nun-in-training" that gives her exemption from some stipulation against gluttony; a nun-in-training is not a thing that exists. It's more amusing to me that Japan thinks all Christians are Catholic.
Really? I am about to start reading it, do explain.
Where the english books for shield hero stops is the place like that.
Potatoes are the only good vegetables.
It was just a minor thing, but when he was exposing the culprit behind the poisoning, in the anime he had somebody else drink the wine with the excuse that he's a minor. In the LN, he explicitly disregarded that excuse and drank it himself, since he's in a different world.
You got to be kidding. So that means they changed it in the show? hahah.
What is the Jap police going to follow him to the new world and arrest and charge him with their 99% conviction rate?
there's a tvtrope page on it
tvtropes.org
he dies? wtf
>shrine maiden
Miko are very rare. Basically in Mushoku Tensei they are called miko’s but it has a completely different meaning and encompasses all these special humans with strange abilities.
His descendants are the ones who defeat the human god along with Orstead, Rudi dies of old age and has a last chat with the human god as he has a meltdown about him failing to fuck up the timeline
Miko mcs are even rarer. I haven't seen one desu.
Is 2hu an isekai?
no
I'm reading Yumina atm. Does the FemMC at least become less insufferable later?
Maou-sama has some very "interesting" prose later on that is very out of place in a comedy novel.
Re;monster, Arifureta etc. are better than that garbage. At least at their core they try to have a coherent story and advance it, despite being wish fulfillment power fantasy Isekai. Nonbiri is not even a story, it's a fucking wish fulfillment documentary about how some retarded farmer autist gets everything handed to him on a platter.
Some retards imply it's comfy and subverts tropes because he's not a gary stu, however;
Yet everything always goes his way. It doesn't need fucking shitty fights and edge to be wish fulfillment. This is borderline schlock and the lowest quality Isekai imaginable, it's utter trash designed for self inserting.
No character, haremette or the MC with no personality has any development of their characters at all. It's just a shit series for overworked otaku, to pretend they're farming a comfy farm and impregnating hundreds of beautiful women for being a nice, dependable guy.
Literally a series for faggots who think that being dependable like a house husband, and being able to live off the land, warrants the right for girls to gush over them and want their seed.
It's utterly pathetic and you should feel bad if you like it.
Because it's trash.
MC gets a retarded OP shovel from god who wanted to give him every OP power he wants. The shovel can do anything, but because it's only a shovel it pretends that it subverted the cheat item trope.
Gets a harem of hundreds of girls and elves who want him to impregnate them. Because he's the only male around and provides shelter. They have no reason at all to remotely like him, most of them don't even interact with him. Plus he's beta as fuck and doesn't want to have sex, so they end up raping him as a gag.
Every monster enemy such as dogs/spiders immediately likes and befriend him because haha it subverted Isekai tropes!.
Spends entire chapters on fucking garbage like building more outhouses and cleaning up shit using slimes.
MC manages to asspull his way out of every issue, and keeps growing a fucking town of sluts who want his cock for no reason, despite him being a doormat. All he wants to do is farm like an autist because "muh shitty wagecuck life in Japan!".
The series takes itself seriously despite literally nothing ever happening, all that ever happens is happy go lucky farming shit for chapters on end, looking after animals and watching them breed, and more retarded girls wanting to get pregnant on MC's shitty farm.
If I wanted to watch a documentary to put me to sleep, watching cardboard character cutouts with no personality do random shit that never matters, I'd just watch slice of life or moeshit, or maybe even animal planet. All nonbiri garbage has going for it is early "impregnation!", aka "woah it subverted an isekai trope! amazing!, this has never been done before, no more beta frigid MCs (he is though)!" But it failed on every other level.
t. boomer who only likes comfy meme wish fulfillment garbage and other 'slow life' crap.
>namefag likes nonbiri dogshit
Kill yourself for having terminal shit taste
I would not mind an isekai with a Reimu mc
FemMC? So Yumina? She is pretty good. But the loli is great. The other one is so so though.
doesn't it all go like the original novel where the male lead falls in love with the MC at first sight?
It's very very cute okay.
Oh shit I remember this. Last chapter I read, the dwarf princess was joining a battle and about to fuck some shit up. How many chapters are there out past that now?
waiting on LN releases
>tfw this is pretty much guaranteed will get an anime way before Mira
it's not fair
that's how it's looking right now, but seeing as how hasumi was able to get over miku the manga's story isn't all powerful so i'm ssure everything will turn out alright
Pretty sure the text was only referring to Slime season 2 and Swordad and Mira were only there to fill up the banner.
Nice
Yeah, I found that picture again. Still, wouldn't be too surprised to see it get one.
I like otome. Fight me.
God that's just cute.
Hopefully, though tojo's internal thought processes worry me.
>Sosuke called out my name, looking dumbfounded.
>The girl reacted to his voice and turned around,
>Opening her eyes wide, she stared at me.
>When i was reflected within her eyes; I felt a sense of superiority, and i had a hunch.
>She is my fated person.
>I looked at sosuke, who stared at me, and i daringly laughed.
>Sorry, Sosuke. I wanted to support you, but it seems like i won't be able to do so anymore.
>When i turned my eyes on her again, I sweetly smiled.
>"Hey, can you tell me your name?"
>That day, I fell in love with the person my best friend liked.
I love it, glad it got published by someone who wont take 13 years to finish it
Of all things, thats what you think people hate him for?

The only isekai I genuinely enjoyed was the one with the loli using magic wands. Forgot the name.
I want the rest of his guild to end up there with him so they can literally just smash the entire world apart

How do people enjoy these cookie cutter isekai series? Every time another one gets a manga adaption I’m get more confused. Some of them literally spend dozens of chapters doing the same guild grind schlock and yet people keep eating it up.
Yes! Thanks user.
Thanks for that, the abyss of nano desu has finally been destroyed. If you ever need editors or proof readers, im sure anyone here would be willing to help
It fucking cracks me up when an isekai MC wants to introduce democracy to a society but also wants to put it through a top down societal upheaval instant industrial revolution as if these two goals aren’t mutually incompatible in the short term.
How different are we talking here because i refused to pick this one up because of how terrible the anime was
Im all caught up after marathoning it during its free month. Glad it finally came up again because im loving every chapter
Will Franklin ever realize hes living next to MC?
It's funny, cute, smutty, and has a likeable main cast. What more could you want?
It’s really unfortunate how Japan has basically enshrined it as one of the “Big Three” of garbage isekai anime alongside Death March and Smartphone.
My favorite part about smartphone is how they portray isekai chinks and sand niggers as what they normally are here on earth and the MC removes them from the world via mass killings. Fuck those chinese roaches
How is death march on that list even? Shit like fucking dog days exists for fuck sakes
Take that back, Dog Days was fun. Death March anime had nothing going for it, it's insulting to even Smartphone to compare them.
im genuinely surprised that people named alot of shitty isekais and no mention of tanaka the wizard
The novel's strength compared to other 'progressors' is the thought the author put into what might actually be feasible for an isekaied japanese kid to be able to implement in the bronze age, how he might be able to access necessary knowledge, and what magic might be helpful; plus how difficult it would actually be for an isekaied modern japanese kid to acclimatize to living with a bronze age clan. the world he makes also has some worldbuilding thought put into it and isn't a generic copypasted JRPG medieval world. It helped that the author was an experienced writer with previous series under his belt and got hired by winning a contest, not by gathering narou clicks.
the anime skipped everything including the flashback volume where we find out just how shit it was for him when he first arrived. It rushed from volume 1 to volume 8 in just one cour, that should tell you a lot.
Thats why im wondering why its even on a list titled "big three trash isekai" when it was literally nothing and on no ones radar at all.
Should i have said slave elftits/cat/demon girls instead of dog days? Or how about fucking shield hero
Wew, looks like i dropped the anime in volume 6 then i guess? Just after he dam breaks the super man with the multiple powers
Do you know what you've done by posting this!?

Do you know that it's set in Atlantis from the anime?
It was one heck of a rushed adaptation.

Also its terrible, predictable and repetitive. No one actually should read.
A lot. Go read it now.
I don't read ntr.
>Didn't see anyone even mention Knights & Magic
What a shame. Gunpla autist is iskekai'd into fantasy world with mecha, proceeds to use his knowledge of gundum to bring a new age of technological breakthroughs. Disregards girls throwing themselves at his trap body to focus on robutts.
Actually based taste too bad they haven’t updated it in a while
The anime was pretty good but the LN kinda sucks.
the manga's art is so bad though
I had no idea this got an anime, also glasses redhead looks more innocent compared to her manga version of "death to humanity"
Goddamn pages after pages of girls getting killed then they go to the subhuman kingdom to see disgusting non-humans, i still like it.
>entire volume in a HALF EPISODE
Wow, that's even worse than Campione! in terms of rushing, where the first episode rushed through an entire volume.
The novel annoyed the shit out of me. I can tolerate the side characters fellating over MC, but when the narrator do so it just outright murder my enjoyment. Which is a damn shame, because as said, it has a pretty logical development.
A dual interview from >Animenewsnetwork with the Youjo Senki author and translators together. In case you wanted to know Carlo Zen's opinions on the Nazis.
>There is also the issue of people in different countries having different recollections of the World Wars, which affects how they perceive The Saga of Tanya the Evil in turn. Carlo Zen stressed that although The Saga of Tanya the Evilincorporates elements from World War II, he deliberately chose not to include references to Nazism.
>“On a gut level, I hate Nazis. It wouldn't do to write a story that shows Nazis doing cool things. If Nazis were in the story, it would make the question of which side is pure evil much more straightforward, but a story about a genocidal war would have to be handled with sensitivity. The Empire in this story is based on a what-if scenario where the German empire unified under the Großdeutsche Lösung ("Greater German solution"), so that all German-speaking peoples came together under one state. If peace had managed to continue throughout the 1910s and war broke out later, during the years between World War I and World War II, how would things be different? In that scenario, there wouldn't be any room for a demagogue like Hitler to come into power. ”
>It is for this reason thatCarlo Zendoes not like the term “loli nazi,” which he has seen the English-speaking audience use to describe Tanya. “When I see the term, I think, 'Hmm, that's strange. How come they think so?' She's certainly not a hero, but she's not that kind of evil. Ultimately, she's a pragmatist.”
tl;dr stop calling Tanya nazi
Also
tl;dr ANN and Crunchyroll are fucking morons for calling her nazi
>but when the narrator do so
what are you referring to? You mean like when the MC gets so fucking pissed off that everyone around him feels like their heart stopped?
>Prussia and Austria uniting
Literally Civil War and there would be a lot of non-Germans in "Germany"
How about this one?
Yeah wouldn't that fail because Prussia and Austria won't stop having dick measuring contests, and Austria won't want to let go of their empire to become merely a part of a united Germany?
Yes. There is also the fact that Bismarck literally hated the absolute shit out of Austria. Even before he rose to political power and was in the low-ranking area of the ring, he nearly got into a duel to the death with a senior Austrian diplomat.
Wait, how?
styling the empire's flag off the kriegsmarine and having them drape the flags all over berlin certainly didn't help people just taking a glance at the anime visuals to not associate it with nazi germany
Now that i think about it, only the EOP's call tanya the loli nazi.
3rei.
I read the LN and it's still getting regular updates both the translated and Japanese versions. Next English release is August 20. Don't know about the manga though.
Does Tanya world ever explore the policies and politics of imperial Germany and how their staff system was dominated by nobility before/during the outbreak of the war and how they get high positions of authority (On paper), but real command is exercised by senior officers?
If not I feel like the author of Tanya is just ripping off post-Imperial Germany/during its final collapse when Ludendorff and Hindenburg took control and just saying "Its totally Imperial Germany goys, It has a Kaiser and that's about it."
Magna hans’t been updated in a while with 28 raws and only 14 chapters translated
I don't really remember much from the manga and never bothered with the LN but Tanya does talk a lot about politics and the best way to use them to your own gain, lately the bombing of Dres...of rebels on their own kingdom is a good example of it.
>Hyakuren
The novel is about to catch up to the anime right? How many volumes does it have now? Its good Hyakuren comes around when Isekai Mahou becomes dead, so just to find something different to read.
Theres this, the synopsis and art sure hooks me, an impossible romance and good art. I know people shit on this considering how bad the drama is.
>when the MC has a magic god speaking power and they break the fourth wall to talk directly to you
>you quickly tell them to fuck the best girl
I started reading 'I saved too many girls and caused the apocalypse' recently. It's not strictly isekai, although. the main hero does briefly get isekai'd in the first volume and I'm not yet entirely convinced that I'm actually enjoying it. In any case I wanted to talk about it.
I'm only two volumes in so maybe it'll get better, but the writing is kind of bad so far. The plot is that the main character has a bloodline that makes him get accidentally caught up as the protagoist of the stories of various troubled girls from various genres because they didn't have a protagonist of their own so he's their last chance for a happy ending. It starts with him meeting an girl from the future who tells him he'll save a bunch of girls, but won't be able to choose any of them so they all go to war to decide who wins the MCbowl and she wants to prevent that by getting him to hook up with any of the girls.
At this point it kind of feels like a poor man's Rokujouma. The most annoying part is the main characters blatant unjustified indecisiveness. I enjoy harems & isekai on a regular basis so I'm not usually bothered by dense or indecisive protagonists if it keeps the harem together, but this is probably the single worst example I've seen and it completely shatters any suspension of disbelief. The meta plot that serves as an excuse for him to basically meet three new girls of the week every volume is explained to him on day one by future girl, but is later completely ignored. The novel even tries to retroactively handwave it away saying that he's dense, which makes no sense because everything was literally just straight up told to his face in no unambiguous terms. It also tries to justify his indecisiveness by saying he can't make a decision since "choosing carelessly would be rude to all of them."
To be continued.
You mean Beta a best.
>murderhobos but they are actually intelligent
>antagonists fall in line the second they realize he's a fucking cheat protagonists so he doesn't have to kill anyone
just seems refreshing
see
Isn't that the substitute hero manga or something? It was about a boy that will save the heroine if a hero isn't around to save the girl. Last thing I read was about the underground girl and Leviathan heroines and the MC fighting Bahamut in an eternal prison... I think, I read it a long time ago.
Is that Addy?
Commie confirmed.
He's doing all the edgyshit to make some sarcastic remarks on nationalism and capitalism.
Isekai Mahou wa Okureteru!
Anyone know when we're gonna get the next volumn? It's been months since they said the next volume was gonna release.
>Not even the horrible MC?
What? The world isn't permanently sucking his dick, not everything goes the way he wants it to, he actually reflects on his shortcomings and learns from his mistakes. The story doesn't ridicule or demonizes the characters who goes against him. That alone put him in the top 0.1% of isekai protags.
Continued
It would genuinely be more believable if he didn't know about the meta plot and all of the girls just happened to show up by complete accident. The very premise of the series the author probably thought was clever completely undercuts the plot and makes the whole thing exponentially dumber.
What I've seen so far is that the author uses plot elements from each girl's story to resolve other stories, for example: first volume he finds out his childhood friend is a mage guarding the spell of omniscience from an evil mage, then he accidentally saves an alien princess running away from a political marriage, then gets isekaid by a summoner girl who'll get executed for incompetence if she can't summon a hero who'll defeat the demon lord. He resolves these by defeating the evil mage with an anti-magic sword he got from the isekai world, cancelling the arranged marriage by blackmailing the king alien princess is supposed to marry with exposing all the shady shit he's done (pulled directly from childhood friend's spell of omniscience) and defeating the demon lord with a laser gun from alien princess.
The second volume follows the exact same trend and the pieces are laid out so blatantly that it's painful to read how long it takes the MC to put them together. I really fucking hope this doesn't become some formulaic thing and the author shakes things up a little. So far it just feels really lazy. None of the girls so far are particularly cute or interesting either, although isekai summoner girl is adorable.
TL:DR - I saved too many girls and caused the apocalypse is not very good
>Isn't that the substitute hero manga or something?
>Last thing I read was about the underground girl and Leviathan heroines and the MC fighting Bahamut in an eternal prison.
I didn't check if it had a manga, but yes that's it. You just outlined the plot of volume 2.
Didn't volume 7 or 8 come out recently? The one that ended with him finally completing the return spell and going home to take care of some shit.
It was a year already so I cannot remember anything concrete, but I know I dropped it when the MC and the overpowered antagonist met and the narrator made a big prose about how the MC's eyes are super scary and divine or something along that.
The point is throughout the novel, the narrator made descriptions of MC in ways that are too human, too subjective, so to speak. Again, too long ago, I cannot point out which is which, merely my impression. Sorry.
No news yet user, as far as I know. Just what happened to the author I wonder?
Remember Isekai Nobunaga and the witch village? It quietly becomes dead after 4 volumes. I wish someone continue this, as this becomes somewhat my replacement when Vanadis becomes dead.
He is the main character. Mushoku tensei is about Rudy's life in the new world, not about defeating Hitogami.
>none OP mc
>everyone posts OP mcs but they do more than just powergrabs so it's okay teehee
Everyone dies user, I don't know why you are shocked about that.
I've read a lot of these and the best isekai is a western webnovel called The Wandering Inn.
When does that get good? I tried reading it at first, but couldn't get into it. Is it worth a second shot?
>Murderhobos but they are actually intelligent
Then they're not murderhobos. The best aspect about murderhobos is that they do some of the dumbest shit while murdering things left and right.
Take me for example in the past my DnD group murdered our way through an abandoned cave mine full of bears thinking there would gold in there, but all did was kill some bears to collect their teeth, trick some bears into drowning themselves in a cave river, and accidentally smashed the face in of a beautiful spirit woman after she de-transformed from a giant white bear who hid under a white bear pelt (killing her) which caused 6 months worth of crops failing.
I mean, none of that prevents the MC from being so unlikable that it prevents the reader from getting into the series.
I haven't read MT, but I was never able to get into Re:Zero because of how much I hated Subaru, despite (to my understanding at least) most of what you said applying to him as well.
Definitely user, if you ask me it gets good pretty fast though.
Don't fall for the roaming whorehouse fag's lies.
according to posts on the translators wordpress site, the author is working on other series.
whats this manga about?
>Subaru
>Reflecting on his shortcomings
Excuse me?
>but I know I dropped it when the MC and the overpowered antagonist met and the narrator made a big prose about how the MC's eyes are super scary and divine or something along that.
Yeah that's what I was referring to. IIRC those descriptions were supposed to be from the perspectives of the other people in the room, emphasizing that the MC overwhelmed them by sheer force of personality and charisma. I guess it's supposed to explain why this nip kid got these clan leaders to listen to him, or maybe it's foreshadowing something more supernatural because MC is supposed to be the one prophesied to destroy the world which may actually be true judging from the identity of the isekai. I can understand why that might not sit well with you.
>posts interesting looking series
>LN translations dead for 2 years
>manga translation last update over a year ago
user why do you do this
>“loli nazi,” which he has seen the English-speaking audience use to describe Tanya. “When I see the term, I think, 'Hmm, that's strange. How come they think so?'
>puts entire city into the oven
slave harem that MC routinely fucks
Plenty of people did that before the nazis did.
These are all soldiers though, the city has been declared a warzone beforehand and all civilians were told to evacuate.
This is just another day on the Rhine front, and Arene is nothing more than a really big trench.
I guess for someone to take interest?
And to contempt you.
If this is an LN thread, I'll include other dead series as well.
but that's more of an allies thing
>puts entire city into the oven
then she should've been called loli 'murrican :^)
it's all about a character so dense they cause the apocalypse, don't say the novel didn't warn you
Do the heroines actually ever get raped?
>no anglo british empire isekai where they build they greatest navy, go into war for the plant country's spices and give races opium to weaken them
Lads..
is there more ryona?
It's more about the world not rewarding him for acting like a gigantic sperg.

nah just all the women around them
>The novel is about to catch up to the anime right?
It's sort of already overtaken the anime, at least in the sense that the anime skipped most of volume 7 and 8 and the volume being currently translated is 8. If you're serious about reading it you should really start from the beginning.
>pic
Honestly I dropped Seirei Gensouki not because of bad drama (I can deal with that) but because of how wooden the prose and character interactions are, and how boring a lot of volume 2 and 3 were. He spends so long just faffing around in the animal people village and then in the nipponese people village and all the character interactions are straight out of a stock anime character interaction catalogue, it's like the script was written by a bot.
That's really the gimmick here to be honest, every volume will have maybe 3 new heroines of different genres and then the MC will cross them all over to fix it. Some of the volumes shake things up a bit like IIRC volume 3 only has one proper heroine, there are three or four short story volumes where things are a lot lighter and each heroine story is more self-contained within itself, and there's a two-parter where he actually fails to solve some of the stories. And then there's the Infinity War Endgame at the very end where they go to the future.
But at the end of the day Apocalypse is not something you read for the masterful prose and intricate plotting, it's a McDonald's happy meal you speedread just to see how many streams the author can cross. So I understand if it's not for you.
tanya is literally the inventor of that strategy in this world.
>don't say the novel didn't warn you
Dense is a bad excuse since the main character already knows everything. The biggest problem is that he has absolutely no reason for being indecisive. I'd be fine with all of it if the novel gave a decent excuse for why he can't decide other than "it would be rude."
It would've been enough for future loli to just tell him him he has to pick the right girl to avoid the end of the world, instead of any girl at all. I'm surprised his editor didn't point this out when it should be obvious.
>undead
>raping
>Some of the volumes shake things up a bit like IIRC
I checked the count
>Traditional formula volumes

>Self-contained short story volumes
6,9,11,13
>Two parter

and the nazis didn't invent that strategy in our world. Stop forcing your shitty meme.
>If you're serious about reading it you should really start from the beginning.
Yeah, I'm waiting at volume 8. I've already seen some interesting spoilers when the anime is airing.
>Honestly I dropped Seirei Gensouki not because of bad drama (I can deal with that) but because of how wooden the prose and character interactions are, and how boring a lot of volume 2 and 3 were. Well, seems this is the author's first work, if thats the afterwords imply. I'll keep reading it regardless, the somewhat bittersweet romance hooks me up on it.
Theres this one as well, basically Zero no Tsukaima in plot. Same artist as and the author is

Out of curiosity, are you reading the LN or WN version? The LN has some serious changes from the WN particularly in volume 4 that are going to butterfly effect all the way through to future volumes and make the plot quite different from the WN.
>Apocalypse is not something you read for the masterful prose and intricate plotting, it's a McDonald's happy meal you speedread just to see how many streams the author can cross.
I like the idea, that's why I picked it up in the first place. It just feels poorly executed. I'll probably read another volume or two to see if it hold my interest then drop it if it doesn't.
I usedRokujouma as an example earlier It's not exactly a work of "masterful prose and intricate plotting" either, but it does the same 'girls from various genres crossover' premise much better.
Most light novels in general are already McDonald's happy meals for speed reading so it's not like I had particularly high standard anyway.
i didn't say nazis invented it
>383 posts
>no one has posted /ourtsundere/ yet
Seirei Gensouki? LN version. I dropped the WN version when things goes stale during the hero summoning arc, which is volume 4. I'm looking forward for volume 5.
Didn't murderhobos get turned into a class not too long ago?
>isekaigen
>everyone talking about the most generic wish fulfilment bullshit I've already read
jesus fucking christ
How do we fix overpowered MC stories?
>isekai
>complain about generic wish fulfillment
Barking up the wrong tree there buddy.
I understand. If any forewarning helps at all, for me volumes 4 and 5 were actually a low point where some of the girls and their actions and motivations were pretty annoying and unsympathetic, and things seemed to pick up after that. But your mileage may vary.
criticizing webnovels and their adaptions is like trolling Yea Forums
Then why did you reply to my post that Tanya invented the strategy if you weren't implying that the nazis did in order to draw a parallel between them and Tanya?
>Japanese
make them more active, give them trials and set limitations on their abilities
>Chinese
remove plot armor
>Chinese and Korean
remove powerlevels
>emilybalistrieri
Isn't that the bitch that took Overlord's author stance with the piracy thing?
Thanks, for the perspective. I'll keep it in mind. Any favorite girls?
because i thought it was funny
> so they all go to war to decide who wins the MCbowl and she wants to prevent that by getting him to hook up with any of the girls.
That's fucking retarded as hell.
If that was the case he either just needs to
a) Not choose any of them
b) Fuck the first girl he meets so there's no feelings of guilt over people you don't even know exist and they don't know you exist being jealous.
It just sounds like an exercise in frustration: the novel
>"choosing carelessly would be rude to all of them."
jesus fucking christ
that's too vague
I am quite certain that this strategy has been done before quite often.
>remove plot armor
More like remove the gary stuism.
>MC always portrayed as the moral authority of his world unless he is an edgelord
>Everyone going against the MC is irrational, villainous, arrogant.
>The most beautiful and powerful females lust after him
>MC is ALWAYS right about EVERYTHING.
>MC ALWAYS has the solution for EVERYTHING.
Checking the final roster as of v13, in the end my favorites are probably
>isekai summoner
>Leviathan
>silver homunculus
>eyepatch miko kaichou
>big tiddy quiet senpai
>Demon Lord
>ancient samurai
>R
>L
Everyone else is merely okay/somewhat annoying/forgot about them/actually a real villain and I can't believe he saved them
I actually don't think his feelings for any of them are strong enough for him to choose, at least I don't get that impression for him by volume dozen plus fucking two.
God I'm loving this one.
>MC becomes chaotic neutral
>Hero party can't touch him because class loves him for helping them before
>Becomes co-leader of the class during the raid boss
>Was able to get his revenge on the gay couple that robbed him
What is it about mary sue/gary stu characters that "takes out the fun" in a story?
half reverse isekai SoL with lots of cuddling
I get what you are coming from in an Yea Forums with people that believe there should be no wish fulfillment and that it's a wish-fufillment series unless MC gets tortured for several chapters and dies from a disease
there are series that does what I posted and they are well known but most don't. like saying "remove asshole MLs from shoujo" there are MLs in shoujo that certainly aren't assholes and the ones loved on Yea Forums tend not to be, but most are. The point is just making their accomplishments and power fantasies mean something. If the MC can just roflstomp his enemies with his cheat, if the battle is just determined by "whose number is higher," if the MC can never lose because even if he's close to he'll be saved by deus ex, then there's no since of accomplishment to his actions and it just becomes routine. Make the MC EARN the wish fulfillment.
Oh yeah I guess I liked the treasure hunter and the phantom thief too. But I'm weak to oneesans.
not him but why is mushoku a bad isekai LN?
>implying morality is a thing in murderhobo series
it's simply a "might makes right" thing in that series. MC is stronger so he wins. When the antag was stronger people where licking his ass all the time, but when the MC surpassed him in powerlevels that's when people realized that it's the MC's ass that they should lick
Is this Arifureta?
How about Wortenia Senki? It started good, but the author wasted too many chapters on insignificant things or unnecessary descriptions in the last chapters.
I mean that's the only criticism that seems to stuck
all the other ones get a case of "you didn't read this didn't you?"
This isekai is a refreshing one among the new ones
1-There is no tension, you know from the start that everything is going to be alright for them so there is literally nothing to fear for them or the people close to them.
2- The fact that they are loved/trusted by everyone for little reason takes the readers out of the story and annoy them.
3- They overshadow everyone else. They make many characters ( if not all of them) look useless in comparison.
4- Asspulls. If he gets inexplicable random skills that are not core to his role in the plot (or worse, stuff that only gets used once and never again) then people will cringe. Hard. If you need him to be good at something, foreshadow and explain why or let another character do it.
5- They ALWAYS makes brilliant decisions for no visible reason. Generally avoid to have a character operate on data/information that either he or the reader shouldn't have reasonably available. Or worse, to have the character constantly make seemingly illogical (but correct) decisions without any explanation better than "my gut feeling told me so".
I'm talking about how the story portrays them and you are talking about weither they are sucked off by other characters? These are 2 different things. A character can be flattered and admired by other people but still portrayed as a piece of shit by the story.
tanya is the one behind pretty much all their urban warfare interpretations, the idea of declaring civilians enemy combatants to make burning down the city legal was her doing.
Not really
>Only 2 girls like MC
>MC is not overpowered and has mostly support skills
>Has had to murder to survive unlike the hero party that won't even hunt because muh killing is wrong
>7 chapters over the last year
I'd rather just forget about it until the author gets his shit together.
>MC always portrayed as the moral authority of his world unless he is an edgelord
It is almost always stated that might makes right, therefore the MC is right according to his cultivation level. Edgelords frequently face far more powerful experts, just like normal MCs, in which case they are obviously viewed as wrong, due to being the weaker party.
>The most beautiful and powerful females lust after him
Power attracts women
A forgotten isekai
It's wish fulfillment my dude, removing all that is missing the point.
Tanya is dumb.
I really enjoy the webnovel for Release That Witch, although the story can drag sometimes. The comic isn't all that great though.
The last Ln was pure kino like a 90's alien/action flick.
You're saying it like anybody cared about it in the first place.
This may be true that she is the one to have found the loophole that allows the slaughter of civilians, but the the act of burning down cities and murdering civilians was already done by many other people.
why does she have a hole in her boot?
the third one applies to Arifureta too
He's gonna make the cripple's legs spin like a helicopter, isn't he?
Hell if I know, maybe the chinks think knees are sexy?
People cared, it even got official English translation
story portrays him as the most murderhobo of the murderhobos
I guess there are some series all about hypocrisy (looking at you PMG) but most portray the antag as arrogant not because he went against the MC but because he picked a fight with a person that can (and will) peel his flesh and cut his tendons.
and what brilliant decisions? besides revealing how petty the world is and how much of a farce the "totally peaceful and justified rules" (because you know might makes right, that's the only rule in those worlds) are most of MC's plans come down to "kill them with my cultivating murderhobo powers"
though I agree with the no tension and asspulls (hence remove plot armor)
>Power attracts women
Except that they start falling for him before he gets his godly status? Take AtG for example, the beautiful vice sect leader of Frozen throne, that everyone in the blue empire are masturbating to, including the strongest sect leaders, fall for him when he is literally several realms below them. The harem of a chinese MC almost never falls for him because of his power but because of """him"""
>It is almost always stated that might makes right, therefore the MC is right according to his cultivation level. Edgelords frequently face far more powerful experts, just like normal MCs, in which case they are obviously viewed as wrong, due to being the weaker party.
see
Really? I don't remember Fullmetal kanekipede murdering innocent people but then again I dropped that shit after he made that submarine that travels through lava.
My favorite isekai
Shadow only cares about being chuuni, good fights and money. Beta has no chance.
You totally did not get what i meant. He is not the hero everyone would remember, the end of the books tell you as such. With all the bios and history book snippets. His decendants would fill the role of heros. He is not the MC as such. Important, needed, and worthy yes. His function was to give life to the heros. That was the reason for the human god fucking with him. To put it in terms the Human god tried to pull a Skynet and kill before the true threat was born.
Sarah Conner is not the true hero, John is.
>"oh this looks good I'm going to google it"
>have to buy it
>"dropped"
that's my impression and pretty sure that's most of Yea Forums's
I haven't kept up with the manga but I'm guessing she doesn't bring up the fact that targeting civilians was not nearly as effective as claimed at the time and arguably cost Hitler the war.
>last update
>12/17/18
Thanks, but no thanks.
Delta is the closest one to Shadow in mentality which also means she's the only one that has a shot in the Shadowball.
>Take AtG for example, the beautiful vice sect leader of Frozen throne,
I am quite sure that dragging her half dead body through the azure dragon trial while refusing to abandon her had also an effect on her.
Princess Lorgar a best.
probably, though i wonder why tanya being able to shine as a pragmatist requires the other armies have such idealistic views of warfare, the french literally thought it was impossible for the germans to engage them in urban warfare simply because it would put civilians at risk and they'd never do something that evil in a war
Read The Wandering Inn.
>He can't into moon
not isekai but this smut is way better than most WN I've read. it's basically just Rance + Guts.
I love it how the last NOT-frenc mages tried to cover the scape of the last civilians into french territory only for everyone to be killed in less than a second, that's what you get for killing the last pow's of the empire.
One thing I hate about a lot of overpowered MC's is that they are not[properly] established as overpowered characters, usually they are "an ordinary person you can find anywhere" with nothing else to support their overpoweredness other luck, this makes their abilities feel arbitrary or "made up"
Did this shit end? I just want to know if Nex will be happy at the end.
If you use sumireko or hifuu members as mc, maybe
>Sam, you sure you want me to put your daughters in these?
>yeah, go ahead, sonny
>3 years later
>oh no, my daughters are dressed like sluts now!
>>no Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic
This is good. The story of a kid slowly but surely leaving humanity behind.
>>no Game obu Familia
This is not. Let me predict the next 3 arcs of this story. MC goes to a kingdom to get them to ally with the humans. Said kingdom's leader is some asshole who happens to have a wife or girlfriend. MC fucks said wife until she can't live without his cock also learns some critical weakness in either her or her lovers personality. Wife then conspires with the MC to get the leader to do what the MC wants. Rinse and repeat. This shit was already on the road to garbage when he managed to make a deal with 3 gods and become the most special mage in the world.
This. I dropped it when they introduced the dragons. I'm guessing that they think making humans the badguys and demons the goodguys is subversive.
Ruphas only understands beating the shit out of things.
Heard the American military or government got pissy about this one....
Know some American military guys that watched this and they confirmed that was pretty accurate.
Maybe JSDF is sad thay cant go through the FarGate?
Because of the treaties that were signed a while ago regarding warfare, which made the people certain that such acts cannot be committed without breaking the treaty. The idealistic view on war was simply due to the lack of experience in modern warfare, which involved far higher amounts of casualties than before. Just like our history before WWI where people went full of idealism into the war, believing that it would end very quickly and without much disaster until everyone learned how much of a meat grinder the trenches were.
nigga what this also is Yandex down or something?
Its the first time i notice Tanaka in the background.
Yeah, but this time Lacus ain't a soul-eating she-beast and Kira ain't a filthy justicefag.
>American military/government giving a fuck about GATE or the JSDF
or you know, one of the game's main characters
Isekai skill. It's shit, don't read it.
Thats what I said... Like who really gives a shit... No like they broadcast the launch codes of some shit. Cry moar.
Wasn't it axed because China?
ah crud, I thought we were posting good isekais
>I'LL MAKE THIS NUN MINE!(not romantically)
Sure, lady, sure, whatever you say.
>Heard the American military or government got pissy about this one
It's more a hatred for imoutos than women.
>Said kingdom's leader is some asshole who happens to have a wife or girlfriend. MC fucks said wife until she can't live without his cock
He needs to do that to some virgin daughters.
The girl name is Yuuhi according to the character chart, not Euphoria.
Yes
USA strong! Strongest in world! Impossible to defeat, fucking Japs should know their place!
We won Vietnam btw
>story portrays him as the most murderhobo of the murderhobos
Except when the MC says to everyone that the slaughters/crippling were justified and that nothing in the story challenge that claim oor even hint that it might have been overkill. There the story portrays them as a paragon of virtue that is REASONABLY retaliating against misdeeds done to him.
>but most portray the antag as arrogant not because he went against the MC but because he picked a fight with a person that can (and will) peel his flesh and cut his tendons.
I never said that going against the MC made them that way but I was complaining that everyone going against MC is bad and everyone wiith him is good. Making him the Jesus of the story (moral-wise) and making the conflict look manichean as fuck.
>and what brilliant decisions?
I'm talking about gary stus and they always making the right decision based on information that wasn't presented to the readers or based on a gut feeling is one thing gary stus tends to do. For example when they keep finding new ways to cultivate more efficiently that any one else in the previous thousands of years, effectively advancing the cultivation domain by several decades, by themselves, in every arc of the story, always based on dumb shit that somehow escaped the thousands of masters who lived before him. I roll my eyes whenever that happens.
>I am quite sure that dragging her half dead body through the azure dragon trial while refusing to abandon her had also an effect on her.
Irrelevant, if she was attracted to power, there was several other masters that were stronger than him by that point, masters that would do anything to be with her. This shows that it was his personality that made her fall for him, not his power.
And gathering shinny things
And you totally do no realize that MC (main character) and hero are different things. You also refuse to realize that Mushoku tensei isn't the story of the defeat of Hitogami but the story of the life of Rudeus, hence why it starts with his birth and ends with his death and why Rudeus is the main character.
I'd be upset I couldn't go through that gate, but I see three more gates there I'd like to enter even more.
all this isekai and no one mentions this, also is this on hiatus or something?
>It is a user tries to go down the dictionary definition to win an argument when everyone else knows what the user meant play.
Okay you win. Now fuck off.
>Except when the MC says to everyone that the slaughters/crippling were justified and that nothing in the story challenge that claim oor even hint that it might have been overkill. There the story portrays them as a paragon of virtue that is REASONABLY retaliating against misdeeds done to him.
that doesn't disprove anything though, it's always established that everyone would do that to the people they don't like if they were strong enough, MC was just strong enough
might makes right, even the antagonists looked good and virtuous to the population at large before the MC genocided them
less "only moral person in a world of assholes" and more "fish in water about to pass through the gate"
Which one is horny sword cultivation or whatever? I forgot the name.
Problem is that they focused this story that's supposedly about "Rudeus' life" too much around Hitogami's and Orsted's conflict near the end and then timeskipped to his deathbed the moment his involvement in that particular conflict was over. So saying it's "the story of Rudeus' life" doesn't hold much credibility.
>The living armors have human forms to fill them now.
Oh yes.
Pretty much any series that wants to have sales.
>when everyone else knows what the user meant play
No you retard, you might have had a point if we were talking about heroes but we were talking about main characters. Sorry to break it to you but you don't get to decide this kind of stuff.
Digimon Adventure is my favorite Isekai
Is there an isekai that
yes
Is it because you have to pay money per chapter, just like all webcomic sites now that do it on lit series?
yeah
It does when 95% of the story follows Rudeus, starts with his literal birth and ends with his literal death. Goes through his infancy, childhood, teen years and adult years. Is called jobless REINCARNATION. etc.
Yes, it holds credibility.
no
true, she is there for so long, forgot she was outsider
This hot mess that I forgot the name of.
China wouldn't care if it was purchased or free if it doesn't like the content.
We don't, they exist for a reason and have a audience, you and your fellow spergs not liking them isn't reason enough to change or "fix" them.
I don't know
That's not what I mean, usually, they fail to capture or maintain the interest of the audience.
There a few problems that can be caused by a MC being too powerful if he has other flaws.
china is cracking down on qidian novels that contain violent, sexual, religious, or political content
Are serious user?. If yes then user the amount of butthurt this anime causes is spectacular. I cant wait for the next gate shitposting thread.
And your autstic ass does? We get it. You are a master dictionary want a gold star? I am sorry you can't get concepts such as abstract talking and thinking. If you cannot tell i am using sarcasm learn more here
en.wikipedia.org
>physical only releases in the year of our Lord 2019
That thing never had a chance.
tons
>people are STILL trying to meme that America had it's feelings hurt over a mediocre isekai
And pray tell how did the American Military show any sign or notice of this shitshow?
I still haven't seen source for this
The army is infested of weebs user just do a quick search in youtube. They were mad only japs got their own gate and monstergirl waifus.
>even the antagonists looked good and virtuous to the population
Are you reading my posts or am I wasting my time? I have already went over how "story portrayal" and "how a character is viewed by other characters" are two different things. Take pic related for example, at the start of the story, everyone views him as a pariah, as the reincarnation of a monster that destroyed the village and is waiting for its chance to do it again. Does the story portrays him like that? NOPE, because we are shown his point of view and from what important characters said about him, we know that he is just a normal child who just happens to host the demon fox inside his body and against his will AND THAT'S HOW THE STORY PORTRAYS HIM.
To get back on the subject, it doesn't matter that the story tries to say that might makes right (because I assure you that the people oppressed by the villains in these stories definitely do not think that the villains are right), what matters is how they are presented to us, and they are presented as arrogant, selfish, villainous, in short, unlikeable people.
>I was pretending to be retarded
Here's your last (you) fuck off now
Demon Sword Maiden? She all but uses swords as dildos at points.
Van is trying to work out how to get spooks preggo, wish him luck.
>Gets btfo
>Has to say random shit to save face.
Want your gold star yet user? Or do i need to pull out a dictonary and make sure we all know what the definition of one is?
>just do a quick search in youtube
I'm sure there is 1 reaction video out there but come on user, let's not pretend like it wasn't a top trending anime on crunchyroll when it came out with overwhelmingly positive reviews. The minority of people who hated it just get magnified by shitposters trying to stir the pot. Much like yourself.
But stuff like RI is still fine for some reason
Some things tend to get ignored. Either due to luck or some party member liking and pulling some strings.
RI?
>MC not being a lolicon is a flaw.
Ok kid.
>AKKUTALLY A MC IS A MAIN CHARACTER
>We know, but the fact that he is not a part of the ending means that he becomes the Sarah Connor of the story.
>REEEEEE BUT THATS WHAT MAIN CHARACTER MEANS
Sometimes Yea Forums you reallly surprise me on how you think.
That's it. Thanks.
Fang Yuan's Bizzare Adventure
yeah I got that you talked about it has nothing to do with how the characters view him in the post talking about how the MC is getting sucked off by the characters (kinda undermines the point)
But the MC only starts getting accolades when he proves that either he is strong or has potential to be strong, only the immediate family loves him unconditionally, the girls don't look at him until he's shows he has talent, the mentors don't either, and everyone else only starts cheering for him when he kicks the antagonist's ass. When he was shown to be weak everyone either ignored or despised him but when shown to be strong that's when everyone loved him, and when he destroys them he uses the "arrogant and villainous antagonist's" logic of "I'm stronger than you so I can kill you" and everyone agrees because that's the logic even before MC walks into the village (people opposed by the MC might not like him but they're all dead) series clearly shows that people love and support him ONLY because he's strong and not for any other reason (as opposed to Naruto where he gets loved because he's a good boy).
>>No harem stuff
lol what?
>Previous post didn't get any replies
>Tries again with a new one
This is getting embarassing
Since the thread is dying. What race should I make my Isekai MC? I'm thinking Lich, but what do you guys got?
Monster Bird.
A fucking tree
beholder
I didn't even know it had an anime?
Never enough Orcs or Ogres. Do one of them.
It has to be somewhat humanoid and if you're talking about the Beholder that I'm thinking of don't you think that is a little bit too strong?
Please stop. I don't want all those feelings again.
>you will never find your waifu Ion ;_;
A cute mascot
it's isekai so it's fine if the MC is a little bit too strong
Make him a fucking dragon with a watered down genetics from so much human fuckering his ancestors did, so hes more humans than the average dragonian or wathever.
Golem, so you will always be hard.
In fact make him so weak even a regular knight captain could beat him without him using his last dragon power left (fire breat?) and his isekai adventure is him trying to get powerfull again or some shit.
nothing like getting isekaied into future earth and surrounded by primitives ala planet of the apes
>isekai into world of kung-fu fight wizards
>try to help out your twin brother with your isekai knowledge
>get shit on by everyone, including your brother
>leave the village right before it's wiped out
>spend 400 years as a weak piece of shit
>get just vaguely strong by using blood magic
>get fucked, timetravel
>gives no shits this time around
>feed a girl to a bear for a power up
>sacrifice family to blood magic for a bigger power up
>transform powerful rivals into 10/10 beautiful girls
>start devouring souls
>discard humanity
>transcend humanity
>start devouring people
>acquire big tiddy goth girls
>go full transhumanist with multiple specially grown clones
>decide to break fate itself as it is inconvenient to you
He only gets better the more I read.
>the mentors don't either
There are quite a few stories where mentors look at the protag and recognizes his efforts but lament his lack of talent.
>the girls don't look at him until he's shows he has talent,
That's because he gets his deus ex machina that gives him the talent at the very beginning of the story, before he meets any girls (aside from the ones he met before the story began)
Also they don't fall for him because of his power but because he helped them.
Not only that but he is liked by everyone after he kicks the antagonist ass because he is fairer than the antagonist and saved them from him. Like I said, no one who is being opressed by the antagonist will think that he is right and a good person just because he is stronger. They will pretend to like him but don't actually like him. That's not the case with the main character, after he beats the antag, the people actually like him because he is fairer than the antag and because he saved them from him. They like him because he did a service to them so it's more because he is a strong good boy than just being strong.
>when he destroys them he uses the "arrogant and villainous antagonist's" logic of "I'm stronger than you so I can kill you"
That doesn't put him on the same level as the antag to the reader because the antag is getting a taste of his own medecine and whenever he kills someone there is a reason behind it that makes it just (or tries to) to the reader own sense of moral. If he was executing people as arbitrarly as the antag (for example killing a farmer that couldn't pay his taxes because of the drought) then you might have had a point but it usually never happens in these stories.
It got hit, I'm pretty sure. Author is looking into other ways to publish, maybe even sans-profit.
Reverend Insanity, aka Gu Daoist Master.
>Ctrl-F
>no Forsaken Hero
Before the thread dies. I want to rant about that trash known as Kenja no Mago.
Fuck this isekai trash, they could do so much more with this concept. Fuck i am mad about this.
>Has isekai hax power of high school education in basic science and maths
>Magic works by imagination
>He can imagine concepts like gravity and anti-gravity to fly
>Invents a phone
>Does not show the impact of his new inventions on this world.
Fucker could start on a magical revolution akin to the industrial one. THE SHOW GLOSSES OVER THIS SHIT FOR A DUMB PLOT THAT HAS BEEN DONE 20000 TIMES IN EVERY ISEKAI
What else did you expect from a world where enchantments are limited by characters but nobody ever thought to make special symbols instead of normal word for it to save space.
kenja no mago is cliche for the sake of cliche
Author was supposed to come back to finish it after taking a break from his webtoon but I have yet to see anything new so who knows.
It's literally addressed by his elders and grandma retard, kill yourself.
Isekai haters truly are low iq.
