We have no idea. Kyoshiro's character is still a complete mystery and Hiyori's too to an extent. He could actually be loyal to Orochi but only tolerates him, he could be trying to take Orochi's position himself, or maybe he's just a madman who's in it for the ride.

this basic form of armament could be the type to which its not been trained enough to actually cut logias bodies like normal hardening does but just be enough to pass through strong materials

wtf was the point of showing Sanji reacting fast enough to dodge a jelly bean bullet from Katakuri during the wedding? If Oda wanted to make Sanji casually caught off guard, then why didn't he keep it consistent? The only explanations I can think of are
A) Sanji is more distracted now, which shouldn't be the case with Pudding balling her eyes out and Sanji's reaction to women B) Sanji is gauging Drake's strength, which really isn't the case since Sanji is sweating from the surprise and clearly caught of guard C) Drake is even faster than 1st commander Katakuri's jelly beans that literally fly at the speed of bullets D) Oda's hack writing is inconsistent

wano is an extremely fast paced arc with no time for meaningless panel use. of course its foreshadowing, thats a lot of dialogue specifically about getting caught and tortured. its fits in perfectly with usopps character as well
