Rakugo, Rozen Maiden 2013, Sankarea. I think he's got the right kind of emotional atmosphere and visual tone. I definitely like his take on the shiny-sheen post-processing style [like KnS' CGs have] a lot more than most of UFOtable's attempts, although I haven't watched the HF stuff.

I said "all but." The number of VNs getting adapted is a fraction of what it was ten years ago when KnS first got made, and even back then KnS only got that crappy three-episode hentai OVA. IG's recent Flowers series also didn't get anything anime-wise, even though I think it sold better than KnS. I just don't really see it happening.

From the original KNS most of the girls in the H-scenes were part of a sex ring or mentally challenged. Natsume is just a sex buddy. Kyouko and Touko are the only canon love interests. Also most of the H-scenes aren't canon as they lead to bad ends.

Seems like he can pull off a good enough adaptation of KNS.
I love this series and would love to see that, but I also almost feel that there's something lost from it being less visceral and inevitably censored.
The murder sequences were difficult to read, doubly so when it was a character was invested in more than the others, but at the same time, I appreciated them not pulling any punches with me and forcing me to not only watch it happen but investigate it later. It helped me understand how Reiji was feeling without them needing to explain it.
With how hard it is to get actual gore on screen in modern series, maybe an OVA or late night block would work well, if they could even get it approved; i think it's still too extreme for that, and not only the H-Scenes but the murder sequences would be mostly sanitized if it was adapted.

I think Miki can do great drama, considering how realistically relationships are portrayed in KNS. The one between Kyouko and Reiji was the highlight for me. You can just feel this natural connection between them. Something that you don't see much in anime or manga writing. But I doubt Miki would want to do an all out romance.

Beat me. The game looks great and is actually newer than Cartagra and KnS. From what I read from this review, game mechanic is cool, art and music are great as you might expect. Most of the cast are from KnS too. It's not even a long game, so I don't really know why they didn't bring this to the West back when KnS was hyped. They could have released it before or after KnS2.
This game even has a notTouko (voiced by her VA in fact) and a grown up Yukari, so it's a pity that it remains untranslated.
