Comfy mysteries with the typical Layton twist of extremely heartrending emotional conclusions.
The mysteries themselves range wildly from actual logical solveable puzzles, to complete batshit stupid randomness that no amount deductive reasoning could ever decipher (shit that would make even Cumberbatch's Sherlock cringe). It's still fun though.
