FMAB. What are you fucking stupid you didn’t know what you were watching?

That Father becoming a God.

Father activating an alchemy circle that allowed him to vore god

LOL. Brotherhood sucks

I really liked how the final battle of this show wasn't the MC soloing the final boss but rather all the good guys ganging up on him and then allowing the MC to deliver the final blow. Same with TTGL.
Kinda weird how few series do that.

I love it too. It's very triumphant and just makes you remember why you loved all these different characters. Edward just fuckin whaling on Father like it's a street slugfest just felt great too

LMAO. Your life sucks

Love

I love the few arms just peeking in frame but you can tell exactly what characters they are.

>All the dead characters are only arms poking in from out of view.
>Also Havoc and Winry
What did she mean by this?

Backbeard?

The only dead ones are kimblee and hughes, maybe u can only see winry and havoc’s arms because they werent present on the last battle

There's also chink grandpa's hand next to Hawkeye on the right, and the giant chainsaw automail in bottom right.

Bottom LEFT I mean.

And pinako’s hair next to winry

Those two last moments were manly af

The best shonen

>Edward just fuckin whaling on Father like it's a street slugfest just felt great too
>FUCK HIM UP ED

Pretty much

so what was wrong with seeking perfection?

Holy fuck. I deffinitly watched some of this show when I was a kid but I completely forgot about it until now. I mean the show has not crossed my mind for a split second in like two decades.

Was it bad? I can't figure out why I would have repressed these memories so hard.

Nothing, the Truth is a shit god that wants everyone to be complacent cunts and praises Edward for giving up power to live as a normie.
Father was right to seek greater heights and to break free from the oppression of the Truth.

t. never gonna make it

Biggest Yea Forums triggering material.

youtu.be/g3aFPN2dEOA?t=427

Why was every single girl in this show so good?
Every girl would be best girl in any other series.
Except Paninya

Hahaha holy shit I had no idea

It'll always bother me how they let Ed beat the shit out of father, but when he was actually in danger they just kept watching. There were still a bunch of soldiers with guns out there. Just shoot him?

thanks user I was just thinking about this show on Monday but couldn´t remember it´s name
the main bad guy was awesome

only ever read the manga. I wonder if the show is actually good or really slow and with bad action animation

>blackface being accepted in media so recently

It was literally:
- boy gets into a accident in real world
- wakes up in another world
- that world is the got-real-version of the game MC loved to play
If this series was made now you can bet that it would become a big hit.

The question is, what next? He had become God, what did he want afterwords? He sacrificed everything he ever cared about to achieve it. What was he going to do? Recreate the Humunculi and live a quiet life? Go on to be worshiped as a god?

Nothing. The problem is that he got greedy. He was always moving the goalpost.

A pathetic being who thought he was better than he actually was, blamed all its flaws on others, started talking to himself and when got close to obtain what he wanted, his plan failed spectacularly and then got beaten up by Chad.

A Neon Genesis Evangelion rip off.

>Calls the Elrics, Teacher, and Mustang "sacrifices"
>They're literally the only ones who DON'T get killed to open the gate

Attached: 1426799305352.jpg (534x401, 28K)

2003 was better desu

Cause they already saw the gate, everyone else was going to see it but father trapped their souls first

*Autist Mayuri Bleach Quote*

Mob psycho > FMA/B

??? Arc > one eyed god arc

That doesn't explain why the "sacrifices" are the only people who DON'T get sacrificed.

Shounen logic from this flawless masterpiece user

please don't do this

We are perfect in our imperfections. You should always strive to better yourself and try to be the best you can be, but to obsess and desire a "perfect" state of being -And throwing away everything for purely that sake- is a foolish ambition and forsakes what makes you human in the first place.

>We can get rid of suffering
>I can live forever
>I can be perfect
>I can never be wrong
>I can be god

These are all pretty common themes you could witness in a lot of human strife -Especially today, in 3d-, and that's why the bible tries its hardest to warn you about those common pitfalls. I also thought that's why many believe pride to be the gravest sin, as it usually produces and herds the others into making humans truly "evil".

He brought them back to life with the power of god, what point is there to flaunting the power if no one witnesses it.

You'd have to sacrifice all things in the universe, both material and immaterial, in order to equal God, and that still probably wouldn't be enough.

A measly few million human souls ain't worth jack shit in comparison.

This was a 3 stage plan.

1) Gather 5 users who have opened their own portal of truth, use their power to open the planets gateway, gaining its energy and knowledge as well.
2) The country wide philosopher stone to reinforce his own power and to contain the power of "god".
3) Using the Planets Gateway and his own Stone, he opens the portal of the perfect being to consume it. This was slightly explained in a book Ed and Al read a long time ago. The sun and moon are two halves of the perfect life form, only when they overlap into a eclipse does the perfect being exist.

Its unknown what Father actually absorbed from the eclipse, he calls it god but Truth doesn't seem to be affected. It could have been another divine entity or another unknowable truth. What ever it was, it was immensely powerful and Father planned to use the new 50 million souls to keep it in check.

Nothing. The problem comes when you harm others in the blind pursuit of that goal. Truth affirms Ed's answer, because he seeks the same basic thing as father, knowledge, but he refuses to steal power from elsewhere, going as far as to refuse a philospher's stone offered to him on principle. Father would have never been content with his newfound power, because power isn't what he wanted. He wanted family, and the connections that come with that. It's the same as the homunculi, each was undone by their virtuous counterpart. Envy by being understanding. Greed by pure friendship and sacrifice. Wrath by a redeemed murderer who forgave those who wronged him. Father was undone because he could never best his antithesis, the bonds that come with family and close friends always working together to surmount the next obstacle in their way. He was one man, as much as he called himself perfect and godly, vs one crippled boy and his literal army of friends.

>Thinking Truth is one person
Way to miss the point.

Fuck you dwarf

So basically Overlord?

Why is Havoc off screen when he never died? Am I remembering this wrong?

??? Arc from Mob psycho > this punching father shit

We've had like 7000 threads about this, ya wrong

>Lust lost to her antithesis, an angry man
>Gluttony lost to his antithesis, Pride
>Sloth lost to his antithesis, fucking ice

You could argue Mustang acting like a pervert but being loyal to his waifu makes him Lust's antithesis but the other two are just ironic.
Gluttony got eaten and Sloth didn't get killed by ice, he was impalled in a hugeass spike and died because living was too much effort.

Mob psycho is better than both

??? Arc > Ed punch father

That said, you could argue Pride "eating" people for practical reasons rather than mere hunger makes him Gluttony antithesis.
And Sloth gets killed by Armstrong and Sig, two extremely fit and active men. The spike finished the job but the final bit of their fight is them using the muscles they got through intense training to beat the living shit out of him.

No one cares, Mobshitter.

at least she had boobs

Retardation
Wow thanks for point that out for me. I feel relieved.

Lust was killed by a man protecting his waifu
Envy killed himself hating others
Gluttony was eaten
Greed died for others
Sloth died fighting
Wrath died peacefully
Pride was defeated when he lowered himself

Some of them are a stretch, but the powers they have are to cover up their weaknesses.

Lusts Ultimate Spear to pierce any mans heart
Envy could transform into anyone he wanted
Gluttony could eat anything he wanted
Greed had a shield, protecting him from getting his shit stolen
Sloth was given super speed
Wrath was given a eye so that he would never be blind with rage
Pride was given a power that would cover him from all sides

Yes people do! Father dick riding fag!

Only u

Nope

Mob is 100 times better than FMA/B and that’s a fact

Because the mangaka was a woman herself.

Pretty much, but not as successful because it's not adapted from a "light novel".

They're "sacrifices" because they "sacrificed" something to see the truth. It's just one of the weird japanese translation.

So what was dwarf in the flask again? A piece of the black something from beyond the gate?

Hohenheim semen given life through alchemy.

>The homunculus first appears by name in alchemical writings attributed to Paracelsus (1493–1541). De natura rerum (1537) outlines his method for creating homunculi:
>"That the sperm of a man be putrefied by itself in a sealed cucurbit for forty days with the highest degree of putrefaction in a horse's womb, or at least so long that it comes to life and moves itself, and stirs, which is easily observed. After this time, it will look somewhat like a man, but transparent, without a body. If, after this, it be fed wisely with the Arcanum of human blood, and be nourished for up to forty weeks, and be kept in the even heat of the horse's womb, a living human child grows therefrom, with all its members like another child, which is born of a woman, but much smaller."

Alchemy is unironically a great concept and have a lot of wisdom in it
If you haven't read the Emerald Tablets yet you're missing out

2003 sucked and anyone who says otherwise is just nostalgic for watching it on AS as a kid.

I'm not asking about homunculus irl, but in FMA universe. In the end of the manga it was shown that he was sent back to the other side of the gate. Would that mean that Xerxes people somehow picked him up when they went inside the gate?

Yeah I was memeing.
Father is indeed made from a mix Hohenheimm's bloo and a part of that eye shadow thingy beyond the Gate that the Xerxes alchemists somehow brought to the world. It's never really explained but apparenty being separated from that thingy and recieving human blood gave it sentience and individuality.

*blood

I didnt quite understand the ending either. Truth shat on father bc he never did anything through/by himself and always relied on other peoples power?

>Kimblee on the left
>Maris looks at him doubtfully

From what I remember, he shat on Father for never really believing on himself or accepting what he was and instead taking from others, denying his own flaws (not admitting his origins as a human creation, removing his own "sins", etc) and delluding himself into thinking he was a superior being who could become a god.
So basically Father refused to face the truth (get it?) and accept what he was and his own limitations, so he got fucked for it,
Meanwhile, Edward does exactly the opposite by admitting he is still human, flawed and weak even with the power of alchemy but not caring about that because he had people he could rely on (not use or manipulate like Father).

So basically father wasnt allowed to become god bc he wasnt humble?

It's not that he wasn't "allowed" to become god, he couldn't become god.
That's kind of a theme through the story. The power of alchemy makes people dellude themselves into thinking there is nothing they can't do and that any limitations they have are just due to a lack of knowledge/power, which in turn leads them to try to play god and get fucked for it.
The Truth despises arrogance (meaning, to think you are more than what you are truly are and thus blind yourself from your true worth) and praises those who are aware of their own limitations and accept them as part of who they are.

*more than what you truly are

Enough Father. Time for Winry.
