This fight is pretty boring, honestly.

>when you nut but he still armlockin

Made me think of The Scream painting

Always amazed at HnG's typesetting

So there is a penalty for causing the opponents death, not just sending a fighter to their death.

He is going to just let it breaks and continues the fight isn't he?

Poor Kaede, trapped in a love triangle between Ryuuki and Kouga.

Nice to catch this live.

I wondered about that since it seemed you could just kill your opponent who's owner would then be further penalised. Would have been a pretty obvious loophole.

I think Purgatory fighter are being specifically sent to kill Kengan fighter in matches.

Oh no this is totally not ending well for not sen

it seems like B class people could well be strong enough to be in A class, and even in CL class there are some strong guys. So I'd say that you're not put in A class until you've throughly proved yourself.
So the top of B class are either people who've started recently and have not yet been promoted to A class, or people who have been improving greatly and in a few more fights will make the cut

Well there is the whole cliche of snake-themed fighters popping their joints to escape.

Would frogman really play dirty like that? He seemed all about the spectacle

Based serial killer ryuki sensing the killing intent.

The way it was worded made it sound like you'd only be penalized if it was obvious the fighter would die, like a low tier fighter against a rabid Wakatsuki.
This loophole is even worse though, remember this?
youtube.com/watch?v=EqNn1iRdxxQ
Someone who doesn't feel pain like Dr Death, that chink Rei fought or Meguro(F) could abuse the absolute shit out of this system.

Attached: gon vs hanzo.jpg (480x360, 16K)

>he truly is the ghost
fuck off

Ghost Advance when?

those who survive will be the top kengan fighters, ensuring a better spectacle

This penalty shit can't go right, if anything it might even increase the bloodshed as fighters are tactically encouraged to kill or damage their opponents to take out serious threats, at the cost of whatever the penalty is for them.

>Underground Martial Arts Organization

Attached: 1544629448570.png (198x205, 40K)

Kengan matches take placed in organised locations, so maybe goat's organised locations are just highly privatised rented stadiums. He has the money for it.

>you know Kengan Tournament 2 years ago where all the top class fighters duke it out? Well, there's this lesser known organization where their top class outclassed even those Kengan fighters

Fuck off. This is Toguro or Yammy all over again. Sandwich a hack. The series probably isn't doing well that he had to pull this shonen-tier writings.

Okay so here's what's going to happen: Toku looks to be in position to win then somehow to everyone's surprise Yuzaki will somehow pull out the win using a vague technique or ability that only Koga, Gaoh, or Cosmo can understand and BTFO out of Toku.

You know they talked about other fighting organisations in Asura right? They even specifically listed Purgatory (I think it was #3 in Asia but rising).

That's not much different than tactically killing off fighters under the old rules. Under the old rules you just didn't get penalized for it. That's what Kaburogi basically did in injuring or crippling fighters.

>Speed reader outs himself as a retard

Attached: 019.png (896x1270, 385K)

I am bit worried to, this is not his usual style and is way more simple constructed than any fight in Ashura. In the raw thread were some theories why we the pacing is off and more akin to the beginning of Ashura

It's a fight with two nobodies before the main tournament even started, it's not going to be given the same level of attention.

IM GOING GHOST!

>Be Kengan fighter
>Get hired by Company A to fight for them
>During fight fake your own death, get Company B in big trouble and banned for a year from Kengan matches

more like over using a fighter to its death is taxed on the owner of said fighter, but killing a fighter that is obviously well enough it taxed on the owner of the killer

Medicine Man v2, instead of crushing new fighters he crushes new companies.

Pay attention, he was kicked off (somehow).

Last panel of page 15. Seems he used his leg to kick him and shift their positions?

It's rich people. That's peanuts for them.

retard alert. this was shoehorned in Kengan Omega.

Huh. Wonder if Nitoku is a writer who uses the Kengan Matches as material for what he writes? And he's a manga author for a new Jump manga about martial artists in an underground fighting circuit.

He did a scissor sweep
youtube.com/watch?v=X-PA21_0xTg

>have a character who is the top fighter in another circuit in the first Kengan
>have a couple characters who are first time kengan fighters but incredibly strong including Muteba and Bando
>Series name drops Purgatory as well, stating that it's the 2nd largest fight circuit
>user thinks that it's shoehorned in that there are other strong fighters in Japan who aren't kengan members

Attached: 1553812614392.jpg (333x732, 70K)

And then the fighter shows back up and the company that hired him gets heavily penalized.

I think it's more like that this guy wants to quit Kengan matches and go back to Purgatory and do it in the most shocking way he could think of.

Attached: 1493585551211.png (1600x900, 820K)

>"The series probably isn't doing well that he had to pull this shonen-tier writings."
>is a shonen
>first series is literally a single tournament arc
>did really well
are you retarded?

by your logic the author can infinitely introduce new stronger characters who didn't fight in kengan, purgatory etc..

That's the amazing thing about starting with a smaller scope, yes.
Nothing inplied the fighters in Kengan are the absolute strongest in the world, espcially given all the company politics involved.

I don't see it. I zoomed in on that last panel and he seems to be completely out of mount, going for a standard armbar/sweep from the guard.
I think the author skipped quite a few steps here.

You can't scissor sweep someone that's mounted, you'd need to recover guard first. The easiest way to do that is to hip bump the guy on top and bring your legs toward your chest, under the opponent's hips, but usually that'll only get you to ashi garami at best. You'd have to be fighting a complete idiot to actually recover guard like that.

Attached: 1559825522184~2.png (178x178, 17K)

Hey. Hey you. You wanna be GREEN

Attached: m12.png (846x1200, 1.01M)

They can introduce new characters and whether or not they are "stronger" than previously shown characters shouldn't be a problem as long as it's done right? Especially since we have international fighters as well like Adam, Gaolang, Julius, Saw Paing, Muteba, and now Edward Wu. There is plenty of room for Japan to have other strong fighters as well as Purgatory recruitng other people from across the seas.

Well yeah, the world is big after all. Even in Asura there were some characters from outside japan/asia and some who weren't even fighters before but were still strong enough to compete and were made fighters as such (Bando and Karo come to mind).

I agree that the artist dropped some of the transition illustrations. I can get a general gist of it but the details aren't there. A bit out of character from how Cosmo was treated.

What for? One of the biggest rules of Kengan is that if you can cheat, its the fault of the victim for not catching it and they deserve it

Attached: 13.jpg (728x1013, 210K)

That's the Old Kengan, not the new Kengan. Who knows how the rules are now.

I am wishing the sequel is going to subvert my expectations more than the original did

The new Kengan is so great, different and innovative that Hayami is still in power.

I hope it subverts them in a smart way like they did before. Not in a lazy way.

Correct but my guess is he is not mounted properly. It looks like Nitoku is doing a hip escape and than goes for the scissor sweep. Or he does a reverse scissor sweep which would explain the fast transiton to the armbar

This is the page before, Nogi believes that if the buyer is duped its the buyer's fault, so I doubt this rule is changed

Attached: 12.jpg (728x1033, 151K)

Hayami being in power is stupid, he should have been forced out of power by his company's board of directors for his actions, if not arrested for attempted terrorism.

NOGI!!!!!

I'm telling you He's talking about Not!Sen

>he's getting pummeled like a champ, he must be going for the kill
big if true

Did he do this page in charcoal?

Cornered Rats and all that

I really hope Sandwich does Hayami better, his coup was really pathetic and only lasted an hour and a half before log wielding sumo wrestlers and old guys with long hair BTFO his troops. But on the other hand I do understand that Hayami was never meant to be the actual antagonist of the series, just some chump to screen for the real bad guys whoever they are

I want a DDDD battle, sounds like that would allow any type of crazy fucker.

I would ask you to take it easy on a guy that was so impressed with some log flipping but Nogi deserves all the hate he can get.

Attached: KA 205 u15.png (847x1200, 1.08M)

I am half-expecting Nitoku to manage a win even after Ghost pulls out whatever it is he's going to do now, if only because of how Idemitsu would probably get excited at seeing top class fighters in the KA that can beat Purgatory's A-List.

Dont we have a, its finalñy thursday edit?

I completely forgot it was a thing until you mentioned it again.

Why start now? They've been doing this same shit from the very beginning. Don't tell me you only just noticed?

Poor Cosmo

I thought we were adding ratings for how injured the winner is?

Cosmo's got this.

Oh no, Bando!

I'd like to remind everyone that the only reason Akoya lasted so long against Cosmo was because they were cheating.

We should, also we need to decide when Ohma awakens.

Next time. Also, just assume everyone’s at their peak, there’s no storyline to take into consideration here.

Isn't this pointless because the beard is guarantied to win?

>Saw Paing v Adam
This one is actually hard for me. Adam canonically hits like a freight truck even if he'd break his hands on Saw's Skull. And his Street Brawling seems more compatible with Lethwei as both favor just getting in and landing blows. Saw likewise hits hard as well and can take a beating from all sides.

>Bando v Gensai
This one really depends on a number of factors.
- Is Bando serious?
- Does Gensai know about the arm whips?
- Is Gensai warmed up back to using Motionless?
- Without motionless could Gensai even see the arm whip coming in order to deal with it?
- Does Okinawan Karate have a way to block the arm whips without ruining Gensai's arms since Gensai has a very strong emphasis on defense?
- does Gensai have it to cope with two arm whips that can be used in tandem and creates a dome around his opponent where death is certain if you fuck up once?
Gensai has to first get in on Bando to really do damage, and Bando himself can mitigate some of the effectiveness of the Devil Lance because he can shift certain vitals around if Gensai goes for the torso or neck. This might be an upset, but I think Bando wins this within the first exchange if he goes all out from the beginning.

>Setsuna v Karo
The great fisherman doesn't have an answer for Blink or the Palm. Unfortunately he loses this hard.

>Cosmo v Agito
Words cannot express how fucked Cosmo is, even if it's renewed resolve Cosmo he's not going to beat Agito who has superior specs and more experience. No amount of plot armor and Zones will save him from Agito and if anything, Agito will steal his zone and use it against him. RIP penis head.

There’s other fights to be curious about

Would you rather he pull a Toriyama and say that Gensai is the strongest fighter in the universe and that mo one else is even close to his level?

>There is always a bigger fish

Saw Ping has more tools to work with then Adam. It would be a war but Saw Ping hits too hard, too fast, and too many angles for Adam to overcome.

The Kengan Tournament took place on a private island arena with 80000 seating capacity, plus Metsudo was selling Kengan merch.

I want a speaking Saw action figure. Make it happen Sandwich

>no kill rules
Yamashita Kazuo ruined kengan

Not Sen's jobber aura in full force here

I'm sure the point of a rule like that will be questioned throughout the tournament

Nah, creating the freelancer situation was really what pushed people over the edge. It created a system where powerful companies still can have corporate affiliate fighters of a higher caliber, but everyone else gets stuck with the lottery and have to bend over for Nogi in order to conduct their business. No killing benefits everyone since nobody wants to lose a valuable fighter, making it a punishable rule just solidifies the sentiment.

Adam hits like a truck, but Saw Tanked the fisherman's blows without significant damage. Saw is also likely a better all around fighter. Saw Pang moderate injures.

Bando is unlikely to start off using his arm whips. If he does it will be a much closer fight. Kuroki can likely take one arm whip at the cost of one of his own arms, but beyond that he has little defense. After Kuroki figures out the secret, however, the fight is over quickly. He blocked bullets at close range, he can dodge Bando's attacks. Kuroki moderate injures.

Setsuna wins this hard. The fisherman isn't a martial artist and will not be able to respond. Setsuna no injures.

The Fang wins this hard. Cosmo may be a better grappler than Agito, but Agito is a total package. Fang light to no injures.

I hope one of the Purgatory fighters is a fierce Trump supporter who specializes in Krav MAGA

Attached: 045.png (356x353, 63K)

Please someone tell me that tokutoku is going to win

Unfortunately this fight seems to be to show off the level Purgatory's A-rankers are on so I doubt Nitoku is gonna maintain his advantage.

is the irony that it's a jewish martial art mean that trump supportersr are useful idiots to the Jews?

I could get behind that

unlikely

But I want him to fucking win

>"please let this be my last fight"
>ryuki notices snakeghost is going for the kill
He's dead

Me too bro, me too

This is being organised by a multi-billionaire who's planning to go to space. Shit's going to be outlandish.

Also, even if someone crashed the party and decided to blow the whistle, what makes you think anyone'll do anything? Who do you think's in the audience in the first place?

The author pretty clearly set up various things in KA to be further explored in the future, like literally everything about Bando for example

>all the top class fighters
>implying the Kengan matches have a monopoly on martial arts and freaks
Did you not realise how many competitors in the Tournament were new recruits? There's a whole world of badasses who haven't been scouted yet; the talent has to come from SOMEWHERE.

...are you actually trying to pick a bone with common sense and basic storytelling techniques?

And there might be plenty of other strong fighters who actually don't want to be corporate gladiators. Shocking, I know. The only reason why Gensai chose to join was because he wanted to fulfil a promise made to a friend. Others like Karo and Bando didn't even get the luxury of choice.

Speaking of Bando, I really wanna know what went down with Kenzo getting in touch with him.

The second match-up is going in Gensai's favour, one hundred percent. All Bando has going for him is reach, size, strength, and his whacky waving arms. He's a galaxy behind in terms of technique, especially when he hasn't even figured out kicks. If a hopped-up greenhorn like Hanafusa can poke him, Gensai will turn him into swiss-cheese, and no amount of joint hypermobility will save him from a direct shot to the heart.

For the future of this hypothetical tournament, I highly suggest we play round 6 as a Bando win simply to avoid "Kuroki lances through the competition, Winner : Kuroki Gensai! Why? Because we already know he is the strongest.", this way we get to see an interesting tournament play out instead of "Who can get to the finals without getting matched up against Kuroki Gensai along the way.".

Obviously the round result is Bando Victory: Motorhead Motors forfeits due to Kuroki Gensai's good friend user made it to the island after all and he decides to drop out of the tournament so they can hang out and enjoy the event together as spectators.

Attached: AnonymousInsert.png (749x460, 389K)

Its not about who wins, if it isn't Kuroki its going to be Agito. Its about the stories of the fights that you get along the way.

I dunno, would Sandrovich make a sambo user job to a chinese martial art user? Ghost has a pretty strong jobber aura himself.
This fight's gonna be like Yamcha vs Genos.

Whatever happened to record of ragnarok? It was last updated like a month ago.

There's a thread up now, look under Valkyrie.

>bad fights
>bad writing and concept
>dialogue feels like it was written by Yea Forums
Did it get a lot better after the first 5 chapters or something, that's where I dropped it? Don't understand how it's as popular as it is

Adam's fight was pretty good, he's the best dad.

>illegal
Only in a very technical sense. When the entirety of the world elite is in on it, it becomes just as much of a legitimate institution as the UN.

>commercialised
That's the whole point of the Tournaments; they're a commercial enterprise by all of Japan's economic leaders to determine who's in charge. One of the earliest Kengan matches was even fought to determine who the new EMPEROR would be.

Then the same applies, there isn't much you can discuss about "Okubo is pretty good, but Gensai is Gensai so he wins." until the finals. At least Bando vs Okubo might spark some discussion.

Attached: GenocideThinking.png (426x283, 105K)

Could he win against a Julius/Wakatsuki? Sure he might be able to throw them around a bit with their own strength but I don't he has the physical ability to keep them in any form of lock.

>tfw can't spoil myself before fights are translated now

Stop posting that bad edit, everyone knows that Kuroki's friend wouldn't so rudely interfere in his matches like that, post the real thing.

Attached: Kengan Asura 1545401068450.png (754x479, 455K)

The question is however, once he decided to use his arm-whips it was game over for anyone who stepped within his immense range, even Kuroki Gensai.

The only reason Hatsumi didn't immediately explode was because he knew about the attack and knew to keep a good distance away and approach incredibly cautiously even at huge range.

Gensai is very good, but his biggest strengths are "I'm very good at reading ahead in a fight because I'm very experienced." and "Oh, and I know your style quite intimately which makes it even easier for me.".

Against Wacky-Waving inflatable tube arm man with no foreknowledge his process is going to be "Mhm what an unusual stance, I'll aim to counter his first strike and reply with a Devils Lanc-" And that's game over as everything from the beard up is removed.

Of course, Bando wasn't using his arm-whip in his first round so if thats the case then it is a different story.

Attached: GensaiSuprise.png (561x289, 211K)

Kuroki and Agito are simply too OP to be in any tournament set-up, period. When three candidates for the position of Fang, one of the most difficult appointments for any fighter to obtain, say Agito is beyond them, that means he's the best in the Kengan, full stop. Kuroki is even better, and even he still has room to grow before he reaches the hallowed summit of martial deities like the original Niko, who fought in the Inside for decades.

With that said, why not try debating styles instead of fighters for a change? The Kengan's far bigger than what we currently see of it, so there are plenty of potential styles that we're not considering right now.

I posted a few days ago in discussion on the Kaneda vs Sekibayashi and I personally think Seki is pretty much the strongest dude he has a chance at taking down.

Mostly because he knows wrestling and Seki' very intimately, and Seki is 100% going to play to any themes that include his Keyfabe. Even with the massive size and strength difference, Kaneda will be writing the script from start to finish and this is the best chance to prove his title "The Giant Killer".

Attached: SekibayashiUnfair.png (799x215, 144K)

This, Gensai going up against Bando with no former knowledge of him is quite possibly the worst matchup for Kuroki out of the entire tourney roster. Only if Bando is actually using his whips, though, otherwise it's a pretty easy win for the beard.

if we rank the kenga fighters only for their punch power, how would the list go?
>waka
>julius
>karo? agito? Gao? bando count or is his atack a special move and doesnt count as a punch?

Gensai's been surprised multiple times in his last tournament, such as Rihito managing to cut him, Rei's inexplicable speed-boosts, Kiryu's 'improvisations', and Agito's sheer unpredictability. He beat every single one of them simply with solid fundamentals and combat sense. Even with no idea of what to expect, Bando would only have a slight chance with the very first whip he tried; he won't get the chance to land one more.

>he should have been forced out of power by his company's board of directors for his actions
Maybe he has too much power within his company.
>if not arrested for attempted terrorism.
By who? Technically the kengan association is 100% illegal. And not just that, but admitting he tried to blow up world leaders would seriously damage the association's reputation by exposing to said world leaders their lives were in danger.

The only way to make it so that the winner is unknown would be to drop the Fang, Kuroki, Wakatsuki, and Ohma. These guys are just far to much stronger than the rest. But it would be stupid to do this as it wouldn't be the same tournament at that point.

The winner of the whole thing isn't the point, its more about the debates over the individual fights.

>log wielding sumo wrestlers
Hey don't underestimate them, logs make for great training, just ask Sen.

Ohma is only as strong as the opponents he is matched up with previously, otherwise he doesn't unlock all his superpowers.

OH MY LOG!

Read my detailed response . Gensai has fought far too long to be done in by a simple parlor-trick from an overgrown novice. If Bando had years of training to go with his 'gifts', he might've indeed posed a challenge, but then he wouldn't be Bando anymore, would he?

I'm more considering if we're using post cohma Ohma. If we are starting with base Ohma than an early match-up against the Fang or Gaolang or a similar tier fighter would beat him pretty badly.

>it's another submission shitshow

BORING!

You haven't seen the beginnings of UFC, have you? For the longest time, matches were decided by who could pin whom to the ground first. All those poor strikers didn't stand a chance in a match where they had to learn to crawl as well as walk.

Thank god, that was a huge pain in the ass with Asura.

he's definitely going to die

Remember how cosmo's thing was that he wasn't going for the vicotry? Well, from now on, he won't go to the fight at all.

Grappling is a hard counter, if there is one in fighting, to close range striking. Far range striking gets around grappling meaning that wrestlers also have to be able to handle fighting on their feet as well.

The best way to go about this would be to replace Gensai with someone who isn't in the tournament but we've seen fight, for example Medicine Man.

Yeah, this might break Cosmo. He can't turn things around against the Fang like he did Akoya so that loss will be hard.

I watch boxing, when I can. or Wrestling.

Adam would probably be third, he's a freak.

The difference between those surprises and Bando's is that only one of them, Kiryu, was actively going for a kill and that was with a technique Gensai was already well acquainted with. The match would probably be decided based on whether or not Bando manages to maim or kill Gensai the instant he stepped into his killzone, sure, but I still think he's got a decent chance of pulling it off. Sen had trouble avoiding the whips when he knew about them in advance, and evasion is practically his specialty.

They caught up to the raws and they aren't speed translators so it'll take them about a week per chapter (chapters are monthly).

the fact that he didn't account for Rei's speed increase means he's completely fallible, if he showed that level of overconfidence to an opponent who was more capable of crippling him in one strike, who knows how quickly the match would end.

>It was last updated like a month ago.
Its a montly manga user

Adam or Raian would be third place. Hard to say who is stronger of them. Raian is a beast but Adam could through KO punches while lying on his back which is absolutely ridiculous.

we should have seen more of Agito's breaking people.

>All Bando has going for him is reach, size, strength, and his whacky waving arms. He's a galaxy behind in terms of technique,
You act like those aren't significant factors even if the guy isn't a martial artist. Having reach is a huge advantage when weapons are banned, having an attack that is strong enough to kill on contact is a huge advantage, and being strong enough to snap a mans spine with a single motion is a huge advantage. You might as well say that Julius would also lose 100% because he doesn't use technique, except that would be completely wrong and Julius very credibly would break Kuroki after a single exchange much like he did the ballerina.

Sen is one of the fighters best suited to fighting Bando because as his monicker hints, he's very elusive and able to go with the flow. Being able to grapple and target the large bones was something he's better at than Kuroki. Sen demonstrated that to beat Bando you need agility and that's not Gensai's thing, he's called Castle Kuroki for a reason and unfortunately for Kuroki, blocking with your arms at any point is a really bad decision when going up against Bando. I stand by my opinion, I think Gensai even with forewarning loses this matchup and so would a lot of fighters. Bando is low-key one of the scariest fighters in the tournament. Kuroki is definitely a man who has seen a lot, but that doesn't mean he can win against everything just because.

Gensai was most assuredly NOT 'acquainted' with the sudden evolutions Setsuna pulled out of his demented brain. The fact he called them 'improvisations' is a clear recognition that they were unexpected, but not incomprehensible nor irresistible.

Of course he isn't. He's a great fighter, but he's not God. No one can account for every single personal revelation or secret evolution a fighter might attain before a match. No battle-plan survives the battlefield, as Napoleon said.

Hassad soon.

You're underestimating Kuroki's durability. I'd put him behind Seki, and maybe on par with Saw Paing in toughness.
He would be able to handle one of Bando's arm whips, but not more than 2, at a hard cost like an arm and then counter. Once Kuroki gets in close the fight is over.

That changed when most fighters started to take up Bjj

Maybe he'll pull a Gensai and come out on top. But I honestly doubt it, Purgatory hasn't really established itself as a legit threat quite yet. This is their chance to do just that.

>reach
Not if Kuroki is smart enough to close in, which he certainly can.
>kill on contact
Kuroki can do this too. Hanafusa's Chin Na would've slain him if he had a normal physiology. Kuroki only needs the one strike. This is also the equaliser that allows him to take down Julius too; no matter how big you are, muscle won't stop a knife between your ribs.

The best trick Sersuna pulled was breaking the ground with Rackshasa´s Sole to difficult Kuroki´s landing. True Rackshasa´s Palm was just TWIST HARDER

It's less the fact he's incapable of predicting everything, as nobody is, as the fact that he was so extremely eager to act on his calculations without double checking. That's a real weakness there, a hubris that can be exploited given the correct conditions.

So, he's going to die just to prove how much of bad guys they are

True, which is why every Kengan fighter would realistically need experience in grappling. Otherwise, even a world-class striker like Saw or Gaolang could be taken down and submitted by someone as small as Cosmo. Just look at the absolute monsters Royce Gracie had to wrestle, and they didn't even give him the luxury of a gi to hold on to.

Hope not, the individual fighters should be the same kinds of people in both Purgatory and Kengan. It would be dumb to make one side assholes and the other the 'good guys', they're just guys that love to fight. Make Ghost a stand-out asshole like Raian.

Leave the differences between the sides to the higher-ups, Nogi and Goat-eyes.

On a scale of Judo to Aikido how meme is BJJ?

So first off, I agree with this user
on how it's very disingenuous of first user to state that Bando has nothing going for him because he doesn't practice any formal style of martial arts. That's missing the entire point of what martial arts is. You're too stuck on the idea of having a systematic set of prearranged movements. That's way too rigid. The point is to maximize the ability of one's body. Bando has "one trick", but that trick is incredibly good and has been practiced into a proper "move". You know what everyone was saying about Kokuro some chapters back? Better to be a master of a single technique than a jack-of-trades of a thousand? That isn't to say being great at everything isn't even better, but the point is that Bando lacking in other aspects doesn't invalidate the effectiveness of his "one trick" and the difficulty in bypassing it.

Anyway, the main point I actually wanted to address was what second user said
>Gensai is very good, but his biggest strengths are "I'm very good at reading ahead in a fight because I'm very experienced." and "Oh, and I know your style quite intimately which makes it even easier for me.".
Being able to "read ahead" is only one part. There's also the ability simultaneously and right after. They're all pretty much important. That was also essentially the reason behind why Agito took up a fixed form of martial arts again seriously; to cut down on his own reaction time. The pre-initiative developed from that in the fight against Sen, I believe, since having a smaller set of options would also help him decide his following actions even quicker, but still. Being able to react to a surprise in the spur of the moment, I think, wouldn't be beyond Gensai.

Even if he felt unsure enough to double-check, how could he do so? Ask Rei to do a lap around the ring and time him? The only real way to judge the difference is to fight, which brings us right back to where we started.

BJJ is one of the most useful martial arts you could learn. Its part of the trifecta that builds modern MMA with Muy Thai and boxing.

Throw in Wrestling and/or Sambo as well for good measure.

Some fighters will bring in traditional styles to good effect while using MMA, but the main fighting is done almost always thru MMA.

It's not a meme, for a while it got overhyped at best though.

bjj and boxing is all an mma champion needs

Off the scale ahead of Judo in a one-on-one fight, assuming you don't get too wrapped up in competitive restrictions. Judo mainly teaches you how to throw people to the ground, BJJ teaches you how to keep them there.

Hmm, in that page it does sorta look like knee on belly (although it's hard to say for sure), which would make the armbar make a bit more sense, but he's clearly mounted in the previous page so either way you look at it there's a missing transition somewhere in this sequence.

He couldn't without taking a hit, but he could've approached Rei more defensively instead of immediately trying to land a counter and having mitigated the damage now knowing his 'current' top speed. He even had a little monologue about assuming that Rei is inferior to his father and the fight is over, and I love Gensei as much as every other guy, but that's extremely cocky.

In a 1v1 BJJ is about as good as it gets. Don't do it on the street though, you'll get your head kicked in by a friend or you'll just get shanked when you're rolling on the ground.

>You're underestimating Kuroki's durability
No I am not, but he's not a literal tank. A lot of his durability comes from deflecting with his arms and elbows.
> Once Kuroki gets in close the fight is over.
>Not if Kuroki is smart enough to close in, which he certainly can.
This is the big problem you all are avoiding, these fights rarely if ever start off face to face. They start at mid range and that's Bando's domain. And even if Gensai tries to close in remember he can make a literal dome of wavy lethal arms around him and just keep it up.

In order for Gensai to win he has to
>Get close to Bando WITHOUT losing both of his arms deflecting
>manage to hit a vital point on Bando who can warp some of his vitals thanks to his physiology
>given Bando's size and musculature Kuroki would have to nail a place that is in his reach while avoiding any close range grabs
Gensai won all of his fights because his opponents engaged him in martial arts and came to him. Bando requires the same of his opponent but has far better deterrents in place. This is a hard matchup for Gensai to say the least.

>This is also the equaliser that allows him to take down Julius too; no matter how big you are, muscle won't stop a knife between your ribs.
Given what we know about Julius and what happened with Wakatsuki v Muteba, you absolutely could stop a knife hand with your muscles and Julius would absolutely be able to tank multiple Lances with minimal damage incurred.

Attached: e16.png (847x1200, 522K)

Yes, i am a bit worried that many fights with new characters wil be cut till the tournament like that

Yeah, I'd say you're really overestimating Kuroki's durability. The only one I'd say who could tank Bando's arm whips would be Julius and Wakatsuki, and only if it wasn't a direct hit on the skull. Bando's not a martial artist, but his arm whip is extremely lethal. That's the point of why he's so dangerous, why he was even counted among all the strong opponents flashing by in the background when Metsudo was talking to Agito after the end of his match against Gensai. It would be appropriate to say that, rather than a martial artist, Bando is closer to being what an "assassin" is.

>dem dick sucking lips

Why does Sandrovich always avoid showing Kureishi fight or any sort of real feats by him, and only ever just has characters talk about it? Even him training Koga was skipped

Anyone reading Fight Class 3? Because hoo boy that latest chapter.

Don't see Nitoku winning this one or coming out of it alive for that matter as the other anons have said.

> Gaoh asking why he's trying to kill him has to be foreshadowing
> If an A lister jobs now then the threat of the 13 S listers is diminished a bit
> Nitoku being killed raises the stakes and risks for the Kengan fighters because the Purgatory guys dont fuck around

>If an A lister jobs now then the threat of the 13 S listers is diminished a bit
I fail to see how this happens.
First off we don't know why Ghost left. Maybe he was bottom of the 30s and saw his limit compared to the top?
Second, the 13 should be the cream of the crop, the absolute best. Nothing says a former A ranker losing means The S tiers are fodder (though there probably will be so the KA has some wins)

Kureishi already had his showings in Fist Of The Seeker

What's the premise of 'Fight Class 3', what makes it good reading?

>Korean
I dunno man, everything I've ever read from there always turns into some nonsensical clusterfuck of rape and misunderstandings

RobOhma when?

Hachiman got swol

>What's the premise of 'Fight Class 3'
The son of a notorious judo-using serial killer is found to have talent for martial arts and is enrolled into a high-level highschool for martial artists of all kinds. One of the victims of his dad's rampages is his coach.

>what makes it good reading?
Maria, mostly.

Attached: x14.png (1080x1559, 1.65M)

How the fuck is that not an automatic disqualification?

>notorious judo-using serial killer
where have i heard that one before?

Attached: Meguro_Masaki.png (300x300, 77K)

But can Meguro.... do THIS?

Attached: x15.png (1080x1560, 672K)

Not him and I only started reading Fight Class 3 but try Peerless Dad.

Yes and more

Frankenstein's Monster had a hard life.

Technically Peerless Dad is about misunderstandings, but of a different kind. He could read The Breaker or Veritas but both of those are dead.

Thanks for the rec.

It's okay, I would rather call them lies and I don't think that the user was thinking about that kind of misunderstandings.

Shit, you already said "of a different kind", I am dumb.

What fights would you like to see?

Unironically, Seki vs The Fang. Seki'd lose but the Fang having to compete with him in wrestling would be great.

Seki vs anyone really, he's the most fun character to watch by far
Mokichi vs Sen, Mokichi would probably lose but their fighting styles were overall pretty similar so it'd be interesting to see
Akoya vs Saw would be a bloodbath for both sides

Gotta step up your game

Danberu TL here, got a question for you gents: since Danberu gets its anime here on July 3 (27 days from now), and there's gonna be chapter 63-77 raws yet-to-be-typeset...but the scripts are basically done...
ya'll want me to do a really-shitty-quality "post a new chapter every single day, just like HnG did with Kengan Asura" where I'll just photoshop crappy MSPaint text over the raws? Or just keep the wait until the far better cleaner/redrawer + typesetter get to their stuff?
I'm thinking about that, to build hype for the anime. Again, MSPaint really-shitty-quality.

Attached: For your consideration.png (704x386, 167K)

Just wait, senpai.

Take your time bro
Actually just ignore the anime-only people as much as possible in general

Quality >>> Quantity

I know how to wait. I'm a Berserk fan.

That's actually really affirming to hear, thanks guys. It's all coming, I promise.
Also, as an fyi, turns out at least animeheaven will sub the anime. animeheaven.es/detail/dumbbell-nan-kilo-moteru-sub
