Personally I didnt have any real interest in Boruto as a character. After The Last I was pretty much done with the franchise. I did watch the Boruto movie but that was the hard limit for me for the most part. Now if the follow up were akin to the Rock Lee gag manga I'd give it a shot, otherwise pass.

What I don't understand is why they ran it as a monthly series in WASH for so long. It's a legacy jump series, it should've been ran in V-Jump from the very beginning like Dragon Ball Super and JoJo part 7 and 8.

The anime plays it too safe and justify it by saying "it's for kids", even though the original Naruto was intended for a kid/teenage audience. Once they made the Seven Swordsman look like a joke, I immediately dropped it.
The manga is way too inconsistent. You have literal beginners defeating some of the taking on a cyborgified Ao, the same guy who's strength was trusted enough to be the Mizukage's bodyguard.

That's unfair to say, Ao was much weaker than during his time as the Mizukage's bodyguard. He was not only much older, but he was crippled.

Not even Mirai could save this spinoff.

Despite the many dumb things about Boruto, I don't get this argument of why modern weapons can't exist. They're ninja, they constantly invent shit to gather an advantage over their adversaries.

The anime staff did horrible & boring filler arcs like Shikadai´s friend, Seven swordsman, Mitsuki´s retrieval arc, etc.
The only good one were the Ghost Incident arc & School graduation arc.

Manga did horrible when it adapted a movie everybody saw into chapters.
They turned Ao into a villain without explaining anything about it.
And then they added a fanservice character (Sumire) from the anime into the manga without a context.

Boruto only had pisspoor sales because it's monthly, yet it makes a lot of money for TV TOKYO (albeit on Naruto's legs). So bimonthly could have been done as an experiment. But nope, Boruto is so bad it is getting booted from the best shonen magazine in Japan.

I liked Boruto movie because it went right to the point, no need to spend 200 episodes for every damn shit a character have to go through to develop a little bit.
