I had never heard of Fire Punch before I read Chainsawman. Someone recommended it and then I proceeded to sit and read it straight through in like fourteen hours.

That was such a crazy emotional experience for me. Afterwards I think I was able to appreciate CM a little more but also to expect literally almost anything to happen.
And of course, the last few chapters are a testament to that.

This is lowkey my favorite new series right now. The only part that sucks for me is having no one I know to talk about this series with. It's too new and i'm afraid the content might deter any animators from touching it.

Same, I had a mixed reaction with Fire Punch. Hated the first half and loved the second half. But Chainsaw Man has been 10/10 from the beginning and it's super refreshing for a Jump series. My only concern is it'll get editored hard or Fujimoto will run out of steam.

Its been a blast to read and waiting for it every week is painful.
I hope it has a long and happy life in WSJ or any other magazine.

I blitzed through Firepunch because of Chainsaw Man and now I'm afraid of what might happen. All the twist and turns of Firepunch is really screwing with my ability to predict what might happen next despite the fact that Chainsaw Man is a lot less elaborate.
