Main villain has a loving family

So is he really the villain?
Have the "heroes" been fighting for the wrong side"

>main villain has a terrified family

>the main villain is actually MC's lover
Does this exist?

Attached: manly tears.jpg (639x595, 76K)

yes

It can work.

Attached: 65146351436.jpg (1280x960, 297K)

>Main villan is actually protection everyone by holding power/something

Just because he has people that loves him doesn't mean he's not an absolute monster of a living creature.

Attached: x15.png (959x1400, 1.02M)

Give me some examples

Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket

>Main villain missed his family by 20 minutes

You make a valid point, however that is outweighed by that man's successful career in pop.

It's very compelling. Just like villains being likable, maybe even more than the heroes.

>Main villain's motives are hard to find fault in and arguably better than the hero's

Attached: 4BA5F558-39ED-4713-9A15-9E4F52E30C9A.png (762x1120, 784K)

>The main villain is actually the only one protecting the world from a greater evil.
>By defeating him you remove the last bulwark against invasion and destruction.
>Only later do you find out that the old man who sent you on your quest was really working for the greater evil
>you were just a useful puppet used to destroy the only opposition opposition.

according to the summary they like each other but nothing about dating, specially since she would know after killing him

>anti-spiral
>hard to find fault in
>arguably better
They made a decision that affected the entirety of the universe without any consent and willingly commit genocide.
The heroes value enlightenment over oppression.

maybe "Zannen onna kanbu black general-san "?

Their motive (protecting the universe from spiral nemesis) was noble and arguably less selfish than the heros', however the way they went about it was all wrong.

Her

I'm still butthurt they teased the incest route but nothing ever came of it. I was also hoping his sister would join him when she found out what's going on.
Dexter and his sister, engaged in a forbidden romance, secretly killing other murderers while working for the police is the stuff good anime is made of. Or would be if it wasn't all otaku pandering these days.
I guess they could actually turn out to be wrong but they were 110% convinced that overuse of spiral energy was going to greatly accelerate the death of the universe or some such.
They chose what they thought to be a better future for the majority of life in the universe at the cost of the oppression or genocide of a smaller group.

By that logic MCU Thanos is Elder God tier because he expected to save the universe with his pants on head retarded plan of killing half of it.

Evil is always the loser.

The winners write the history.

so everyone was evil all along?

Yeah but most of them would be spoiled if you were told about them.

It's stupid to rank motives, they are only one part of character and even the simpler motives can lead to more interesting or compelling characters than fluffed up ones.

>wow main villain is just like mc except he made a few bad choices and now is where he is, surely he will become a good guy

Attached: bai.png (358x358, 174K)

Not always, but often.

Berserk

I liked them, but they were almost psychotic levels of obsessed about being parents to Renton.

>Villain was ignored by the MC as a child and decided to become an edgy villain

Attached: 1547595786306.png (572x572, 288K)

I want a spinoff that has Tatsumi side with the empire.

>main villain is so well-liked he manages to stay alive and free in the end

Attached: oh1.png (556x625, 364K)

Motive means nothing if it's delivered poorly, or if nothing about them is interesting besides their motive.

Thanks for reminding me

Attached: 1559761277708.jpg (560x675, 17K)

>main villain is not well-liked at all but everyone are just ignoring all of his crimes for some reason

Attached: he-hates-it.jpg (1280x960, 126K)

Yeah, but they were robbed out of having a child of their own by tragic circumstance. To his credit, Charles pushed Renton to do his own thing even if they would be at odds and Ray became increasingly more unstable because of the double whammy of losing her prospective son to the woman she blames for her misery and then losing her husband, her one emotional support.

It's sad because they did make stellar parental figures for the time being, being integral to Renton's development. They were so likable and sympathetic despite not being morally good and having deep-seated flaws they failed to overcome. And it's sad that because of who they were, it couldn't have ended any differently.

Nothing wrong with that

>main villain is viewed as a minor threat; while the hero views the minor villain as the true threat

Attached: 1559421348904.jpg (1804x1400, 1.31M)

It worked for Iron man and the Incredibles.

Yes.

Attached: aee5cd91af31a40d9c96e1a5eabd41aedee4173cv2_hq.jpg (702x1024, 121K)

Charles was pretty great. I don't remember Ray too much though.

She had a fetish about being a mommy, that's about where her character begins and ends.

Attached: 1549237165369.jpg (1482x2047, 541K)

Raoh is Elder God because his motive was that if his fist was the strongest he force the rest of the world to unite under his army in single hegemony thus ending all wars

This is honestly better than Kenshiro's "muh Yuria revenge" In fact Raoh had an IRL funeral people were so moved by his lose.

>main villain just wants to hold MC's hand

what's wrong with Florida?

>main villain is an orphan with a terrible childhood and you sort of feel bad for them

>main villain rapes the MC (girl)
My dick

There are none. Japs cant pull off Juliet and Romeo where two families are bitter rivals

Can you actually name a example of that happening?

almost got it

Attached: noname.jpg (1280x720, 204K)

Sacred blacksmith

Seems like a pretty funny place to me.

Doesn't that stop before the main villain can actually go through with it?

What is insane or mysterious about Hisoka? He's Shit Tier pretty much. Also a reminder that my girl Esdeath is Mid Tier.

Attached: 1417131214880.png (746x1072, 644K)

Any series where the MC starts as a hero against a villain and slowly realizes that both countries have committed the same atrocities and he ultimately descends into "at least my friends and family is safe" mindset, the same that propelled the "villain"?

Close enough

They remembered me of these two. No wonder Charles was awesome. Ray, like Hamon, came with the package.

Attached: ramba hamon.jpg (2244x3000, 1.08M)

I know you

The most dangerous Villain is the one who has something worth protecting.

It's the only state that allows media outlets direct access to police records

This, it's confusing unpredictable with mysterious. The whole chart is confused garbage.

Nobody knows. I think there was actually an X-Files episode on the subject.

this. honestly more states should do it.

Read shoujo. The main love interest would be considered a villain by an standards

Hisoka doesn't lust for power because he knows he's already the strongest, in fact he's not even a villain so he shouldn't even be on that list. He is literally the Goku of the HxH world, all he wants to do is fight strong people to satisfy his battle boner.

>Hisoka doesn't lust for power
>He is literally the Goku of the HxH world
I won't bother to talk with you.

Whoever made this is absolutely retarded and you need only look at where Shishio is placed to discern that.

Deadman Wonderland

>main villain has a backstory

>main villain is evil

Attached: rengar.png (1920x1080, 1.76M)

Yeah. Fuck Hanekawa.

Interesting
Any examples?

Don't bother, weenies think every shoujo love interest is Edward Cullen just because they're not wimpy, masochistic pussy-worshipers like the self-inserts in the series they follow.

Esdeath and the Jaegars were pretty good. The mangaka even introduced a team of shitty edgy villains to show that.

The only issue I find with esdeath is her philosophy. She had a strongest should rule, Darwinian outlook. However she became
complacent with her position and just wanted to breed and have children. Her personality seemed to point towards over-throwing the government and placing her and Tatsumi as the new King and Queen; rather than scolding Tatsumi for having revolutionary views.

In that case Junko and Hisoka are mid tier

A recently finished Precure anime. Main villain is actually MC's future husband. She even gave birth to his (present) kid at the end.

>main villain has a dream

Attached: 23.jpg (315x226, 34K)

>main villain is more relatable than mc

Attached: 1546976229520.png (298x390, 157K)

Why would you do this to me?

She was a blood knight; she had no ambitions other than being free to indulge in her desires. She was the real muscle behind the empire, she knew it and so did the PM, so she was in the pretty cushy spot. The problem is the mangaka didn't even flirt with interesting ideas like that because he was a hack writing edgy shit.

Is it bad if i almost always like the villains more than the MC?

Yeah you'd think though that Tatsumi wanting to overthrow the kingdom would have been hot as fuck to her rather than thinking it's foolish. Her whole philosophy of the strong should rule the weak seems like she'd be sickened being ordered around, even if it were just a pretense. It's a same that the mangaka was able to make an interesting world and characters, but sucked horribly at piecing together a story for them to be fully realized.

Ya think?
I've never heard of a Japanese person taking a crack at R&J. And to be honest, given their lack of certain western feminist sensibilities, I would imagine that there are several Shakespeare stories they could probably do BETTER than most mainstream westerners in our current state.
Especially that one, since Juliet is canonically 13. There aren't a lot of Western producers who'd want to acknowledge how young the romantic leads are. So why do you say there's never been a good Japanese Romeo & Juliet? Kurosawa has certainly succeeded with his different takes on the Bard.

Villains tend to be more interesting than heroes. Look at pro wrestling where heels tend to get over better than faces do. Villains tend to be active while heroes tend to be reactive. People rarely question why someone does something good/wrong but always question why they do something bad/wrong (notice how there's no hero motivation chart?). Villains just affect people in a way that heroes aren't even expected to.

She seems like a failed Shishio when put that way.

Mirai Nikki

*good/right

Spirit Circle.

I don't know user, i think i might be evil

From my point of view, it's society that's evil.

I unironically think this way

>the loving family are actually the main villains

>main villain believes in himself

>a supporting character ends up a turncoat the dies off screen
Damn

I thought precure was for little girls. Why is the mc having sex in giving birth?

retard

Because precure is for little girls ;)

Only fellow chads know where to look

Attached: THE_PUREST_OF_THEM_ALL.jpg (600x315, 149K)

Well don't, because evil is a childish concept used for propaganda. Society is simply barbaric.

first half of mid tier is Griffith's existence to a t, brainlet.

Didn't the final boss from naruto just want to put everyone into eternally blissful VR? Why not just let it happen?

>MC is more morally questionable than the antagonist

Did he have a family? I don't really recall it

He did nothing wrong but still why all the fucktoys? Polygamy is seen as evil if the character isn't a self-insert in anime/manga

Attached: 7ab8ef9db5a4e131a9f7319864bd6455f4a717ca_hq.jpg (1024x576, 64K)

>main villain has a gf that wants kids but gets castrated.

That and they absolutely shit on the mentally ill so they are arrested all the time

Gotta keep your sanity somehow. Can you even imagine keeping the entire human race living in shit conditions because at least then they're still living? All because you failed?

Attached: 1548992419689.jpg (1920x1080, 109K)

>however the way they went about it was all wrong.
so they were wrong.
simple logic you braindead scum fucking retard

Ray & Charles weren't villains, they were just mercenaries whose assignment happened to have them cross paths with GS, which makes them more incidental antagonists at best.
I still don't get what their supposed motivation to An Hero though. If they just bugged out when the mission was fucked, did they fear Dewey would have them hunted down and executed or something?

They interbred with the swamp people

Weren't they raped and killed?

In the manga. In the anime they made soup.

I think I like that version better

I want a spinoff where Esdeath wins and Tatsumi resolves the plot using his brain and penis instead.

Attached: xbihhw.jpg (438x297, 32K)

But Ryuk doesn't have a family like our hero Light.

>So is he really the villain?
Yes.
Being caring and afectionate to your family doesn't excuse mass murder of civilians.
See general Borcuse from Break Blade / Broken Blade.

>main villain had a loving family

Attached: image.png (1500x2126, 906K)

>So is he really the villain?
Yeah, it's just people can get full of shit and think they themselves and those they associate/identify with can't ever be bad people because ????, despite all evidence to the contrary. Most villains are human like anyone else.

wasn't she the daughter of th main villain?

Madan no Ou to Vanadis has the same trope if I'm not wrong

>because of the situation they find themselves in
>doing what they do to survive
literally the same thing stop posting this

It really annoys me how we live in an era where context has lost all meaning and people just rank ideas based on the actual trope rather than the execution. You actually see a lot of these faggots pointing the trope out as the story progresses rather than allowing themselves go on for the ride.
