It's not overhyped - anyone hardly ever mentions it, except to say it's pretentious or overhyped. It's also not any more edgy than any other major Nasu work.

I feel bad for all the anons who will never feel the rush of feels when listening to Kaijura's work for KnK.

It certaintly has an edge to it but that's all nasu work. I just find it boring as hell. It felt like Nasu just wrote KNK as a big exposition for his lore. The characters felt like his mouthpieces instead of character of their own. Shiki also isn't as compelling of a character. Mikiya even less so.

The writing is garbage but the atmosphere is comfy, Ufo could still draw noses and I like Shiki, the poet and Fujino so it's fine.

Fukan Fuukei is pure kino.
Garan no Dou is very good.
Mujun Rasen and Tsuukaku Zanryuu pretty good.
Satsujin Kousatsu 1 and 2 are awful.
Boukyaku Rokuon is quite bad.
Mirai Fukuin feels out of place.
