Does Yea Forums like Urban Fantasy?
Only if it's chuuni enough
it's great when done right
sadly we have shit like fate and index polluting the market with a billion spinoffs and copycats so you might as well be searching for a needle in a haystack
i like it more when its a dark tournament X and X/1999 Fate/stay night etc
Man of good taste
That's why I liked the new Boogiepop so much, even though it's really no different with all of its LNs and spin-offs
I do but not trash like Boogiepop.
Someone post the butifhe'sanormieI'lltakecareofhimwithmyspookyelectricpowers.jpg
yes
>Trash like Boogiepop
I do!
I want to fuck Hitler
Looks extremely chuuni, what's it about?
sure
I fucking love it.
I plan on running a system that allows Urban Fantasy with my players after the current campaign ends.
what system? WoD is great
I like chuuni. The anime was shit though.
We're already familiar with WoD so I'll probably run it. I found out about a system called Kamigakari in /tg/ and it seems good for urban fantasy, it seems kinda chuuni so I already like it.
Durarara is my favorite series, I love urban fantasy
Yes
Which is why boogiepop is AOTY
We need more urban fantasy than isekai trash
Yes
Sure.
I love it, I've been hunting for books and manga/anime on the topic. Recently I read the Mercy Thompson novels which was super cheesy, and I'm watching Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin which is pretty interesting despite it being probably meant for girls.ý
Urban fantasy is like 90% of jap fiction though
inb4 b-but isekaishit when the entire trope is only popular because it's the literal inverse of urban fantasy and and as a result far easier to write
Yes
Yes
>pic related
It's a bit harder to find good Urban Fantasy novels that aren't like that.
Based Unist-user
>urban fantasy
I fucking love it
O MY SNOW IN APRIL
We really need more urban fantasy anime.
>meant for girls
Why is this so common in Urban Fantasy media?
I love it in theory. But most of it is absolute trash that is only urban fantasy for the sake of wish fulfillment and "relatability".
Still, you get something good occasionally. I liked Boogiepop. And this season, i'm rather fond of Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin.
>despite it being probably meant for girls.
Why do you think that? Is it just because of the gay subtext?
I miss them
Season 2 when
You bet I do.
>Urban fantasy is like 90%
Not really
Yeah
