Come and SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE
I'm currently running a Shadowrun campaign that's inspired by Ergo Proxy and GitS
The wasted potential saddens me.
Raisins
Pino
Icarus
yes, even if it was pretentious it had a really unique atmosphere and good op + ed
yes
I love evanescence, how did you know?
yeah, because it's the norm to hate on it, which means it's okay to like it now
The ending got too weird and nonsensical
Yes.
Talk about it, what's your character got goin on
COME AND SAAAAAAAAAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
even if it got a little pretentious at times it was a pretty good watch, but definitely a slow burner that you can't really marathon in 2 days
what a shame about Manglobe though, I don't even know who has the rights of this anymore
At least they got one last masterwork out before Bankruptcy Baboon killed them.
I like pino
I'm actually the DM. Set in 2005 and revolves around the player characters being apart of a terrorist organization. They're all clones and will eventually die of neurological shutdowns by the time they're 25. I encouraged all of them to tap into that early 00s grunge/punk/goth aesthetic sense I want the tone and themes of the campaign to revolve around self-actualization, religion, and intimacy. Also, the opening song is Kiri.
The only thing I never got was "124C4" or whatever it was Re-L had assigned to her. "One to foresee for everyone" makes no sense. What is she foreseeing? Why for everyone? How come she doesn't foresee everything for everyone, given that she's surprised multiple times in the series and especially at the end with Vincent?
no
The one Shadowrun campaign I ran basically just ended up being Cyber City Oedo, complete with the vampires and cyber-liches. Everyone showed up with a mundane apart from the face, who was an adept specialized in fucking up mages, and half of them were ex-cons.

That sounds dope. This'll be my first time running SR so I'm kind of keeping things a bit tame. It also helps that it takes place in more or less, modern Earth instead of he future.
>124C4
which episode was it? I'm 12 episodes in
A word of advice: try to design building layouts less like a traditional dungeon and more like a videogame level or a proper building blueprint. Drawing the floors on top of each other is really useful. Players tend to use a lot of vertical movement and like going straight through walls, floors, and ceilings in my experience.
Also, if magic gets involved in vehicle stuff, throw the rulebook out the window and wing it, because RAW it's shockingly easy to get a motor scooter to double-digit fractions of lightspeed, among other shenanigans.
Oh yeah, and for the love of god, don't let anyone take the spell Control Actions, it's downright broken.
I really appreciate the advice man. I'm actually in the middle of making a dungeon of a skyscraper. But I'm trying to avoid the problem of having it be
>Go from floor to floor
>Kill enemies
>Fight boss.
I can't really throw in like a puzzle or something because it's a big assault that ends with the skyscraper coming down.
She's so goddamn beautiful lads.
You can throw in a puzzle in the form of security measures. Have a vault door they can't just blast through and have to get someone who knows the code (or keep going up through a window, avoiding the automated security systems outside while they climb), or corridors full of stuff like electrified floors that they have to circumvent or disable. You don't have to stop the action to make them solve a riddle or something if they're gunning their way up a tower, but complicating it tends to work well. Seal off obvious entrances, make them get creative. Hell, maybe throw in a corporate SWAT response team that rappels down to put them on the defensive partway through, making them have to hold their position in the offices they've been clearing. And be sure to change up the enemies: throw a mage or decker in with the regular guards, or some armed drones. Sneaky special ops sorts who try to ambush them when they go through a maintenance tunnel. A big hovercraft that shoots at them through the windows.
And. She. Knows it.
Everything except for the plot was 10/10
And if you really wanna spice things up, have the enemy play dirty. Disguised cyborgs who blend in with the frightened, unarmed office workers until they start using their briefcase SMGs, thermal smoke grenade using mercs with fancy audio enhancements and swords, invisible bastards in chameleon suits, and of course the classic extensively enhanced troll bodyguard who's hard to put down and won't stay dead if you don't make sure.
disagree dude i binged it in a day
>The title of this episode comes from the novel Ralph 124C 41+ by Hugo Gernsback, one of the most influential science fiction stories of all time. The title itself is a play on words, meaning "one to foresee for one another", which is a core element of Re-l's character throughout the seriesâperhaps her raison d'ĂȘtre.
this was the most pretentious show i ever watched
Woah thanks man. That actually opens up a lot of possibilities for me
Some of the production team migrated to form Studio Genos which currently, have only 3 TV anime produced under their belt - most notably the adaptation of Golden Kamuy.
How is this a "bad" line!? That shit solidified him as the most based character in that OVA and also one of the few likeable trannies in the history of the medium
Explain what the fuck you think was pretentious about it. You don't get to throw around insulting words without actually explaining how it was that way. Justify your FUCKING OPINION.
it was a bit too dark and the ending was garbage
Yeah I'm not sure I could call any show pretentious when it has a whole episode that's an in-universe quiz show/recap episode where the host is some crazy bastard making fun of the whole thing. I'm not necessarily saying it's good, it's been a long time since I watched the show and many specifics of it escape me, but just because it was really obtuse and full of introspection doesn't really make it pretentious. To me, pretentious is when the show is a very self absorbed, self wank show. This usually manifests as a lot of philosophical and introspective garbage, but it's a lot like fedoras. The problem with fedoras isn't that they aren't cool, it's that people who fundamentally aren't cool try to adopt them to become cool because they just don't understand what's actually cool or uncool about any of it. So it is with obtuse storytelling and heady ideas. I don't think Ergo Proxy ever felt like it believed itself to be more than it was.
PINO IS READING A BOOK!!!
The wasteland stuff was comfy.
this.
>Characters barely have a personality (except best loli)
>Character dynamics are pretty much non-existent
>Exploration of philosophy is very shallow
>Plot is mostly unexplained right up to the end, making it feel convoluted
>Mood & art is good but about the only redeeming quality of the show
bit by bit
I watched first 15 mins. It consisted of few random scenes that had absolutely no sense. It was like watching random pictures. I hate when movies/anime do this. When does it make any sense? Im planning to force myself thru beginning and watch it.
Cunt.
Only redeeming qualities of the show were Pino and the OP.
also not enough doujin and porn.
The Radiohead ED was nice too.
the god awful hair episode ruined it for me
I literally couldnt think of anything else while watching the rest of the anime
I downloaded it some time ago but haven't watched it yet
It's one of my all time favorites.
It was hype as fuck before release but reality told me it's boring as fuck and pretentious. It was ritghttfully forgotten.
WAAAKEE MEE UP
