Season 1 maybe, season 2 cut too much.

FMA only has bad adaptions.

>cut too much
No it didn't. The only things that were cut were things that were already given enough emphasis or were things that just wouldn't have been able to fit with the pacing of the anime in general. Season 2 went above by improving on pretty much everything, the arc between Reigen and Mob was done flawlessly, the World Domination arc in general was far better in the anime too thanks to the snappier pacing.
Plus we got one of the best episodes of anime produced in years, the people that bitch that the Mogami arc wasn't as good in the anime because of what was cut don't understand that anime's a visual medium, everything from the emotions down to the actual story of the characters was portrayed perfectly through the color palettes, imagery and top-tier direction throughout the ep even before the action kicked in.

Mobfags don't appreciate just how good they got it, you niggers could've ended up with an OPM S2-tier adaptation instead of an adaptation as soulful as the one Bones has given.

but season 2 improved on the source material greatly though, even in the very first episode they made the scene with Mob and Emi one of the most touching moments in the whole anime thanks to the animation and music. In the manga it was nice but far, far less impactful thanks to how short it was.

It made the trap more prominent so fair enough.

This was shit. Worse than the Hollywood version.

Nice

Why are their hands so tiny?!! Why do these chipmunk girls have such tiny hands?!!!

it's fanart

Part 4 of Jojo. Stand battles are fucking trash, but it was more bearable in the anime.
Parts 1-3 are obviously better in the manga. For 5 it'd be a tie, depends on if DP delivers in the finale.

The first 8 episodes of season 8, excepting episode 5 which I liked but have some mixed feeling about, were all great improvements on the manga. After that, I feel like it gets a lot more choppy, although individual episodes like the teleport guy's battle could still be amazing, the total pacing of the show was off and the final battle especially felt really meandering and directionless. Where the manga would have paused for a joke or another detail here or there like Dimple possessing Mob to punch the villain, the anime holds on the same tone and power-level battle for so long that it gets monotonous.

Was the manga bad?

Paprika. I don't know if it was necessarily the translation, but the book was a pretty shitty mary sue wankfest.

It was perfectly fine, but the anime does so much more. The only misstep the anime really made was not explaining as clearly that Fujitaka was also a reincarnation of Clow.

habe you read the novel? is it available in english?
