>2004 was 15 years ago

TTGL reference in Hajime no Ippo.

Test

It's only been 2 weeks for me don't remind me.

Too soon man ;_;

just for the sake of discussion lets assume its Simon the one that gets killed in this fight and not Kamina,
how would affect him? going by the next chapters we realize its Kamina the one that gets inspiration from the little kid,
how would the series fare?
he will probably have his own segment of depression going by the fact that he dragged Simon to an unwilling fight that got him killed but what do you guys think

How many times has that Dezaki shot been recreated in anime?

Wow, didn't know Dezaki wrote AnJ

newfags

Apparently you can't tell time retard

Feels bad

It's been almost 40 years since OG Kamina died.

I was watching for Simon's story so Kamina's death couldnt come soon enough.

Is Kamina's death pose the most referenced shot in anime history?

I think he'd make the recovery but I think it would take a bit longer to get there. It would still haunt him and I dunno if the the world development would have taken off in the 7 year timeskip the same way either. Nia obviously would have developed differently and I dunno if Rossiu would have even worked up the nerve to keep fighting.

>It would still haunt him
Adding to that, he'd likely be way more reckless for a while as a coping mechanism.

HEY,
I REMEMBER FOREVER!!

On my back, in my heart, he continues to live on

The war would've taken much longer to reach its resolution than when Simon was at the helm. Kamina is mostly bravado, putting on a brave face so Simon doesn't fall into despair, but the guy himself is terrified of all the shit going on and in fear of his life. Kamina has very little spiral energy and potential to evolve, and instead inspired Simon to push forward. The Giga Drill Break Kamina did was at the peak of his spiral energy, after he had already died yet refused to allow his little brother to fall into despair.

I legit dont think he could have taken Genome the way Simon did.

>there will come a day when 50 years have passed
>even if Yea Forums still exists by then, there will be only one alive to remember and post about it

real men never dies, they just reincarnate in an another anime.

Kamina deserved to die, he was a fucking idiot and didn't deserve the constant worship he gets.

How long have we been here?

People keep telling me to go back, but is it really worth it?

rip joe

Underrated post, I laughed.

It gets so much better

I hope you're joking. Fucking finish it you dingus

I couldn't stand that little cuck Simon moping around and failing at everything
tell me he becomes Kamina 2.0 and I might

CONFESSION: 8 episodes was not enough time to get emotionally tied to Kamina and thus I didn't care when he died

He dies a virgin so yes Kamina 2.0

literally what happens

Get the fuck out of here, you vermin.

If you were on Yea Forums during the space race when TTGL was airing, you would have known better than to write such a dumb post.

>muh /pol/
You're just as bad.

Would have been nice if they hadn't played his death scene as an EPIC ASHITA NO JOE REFERENCE
That was Gainax's and somewhat Trigger's biggest folly. Too many references, even worse when it was their own stuff.

ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH

Watching Simon grow into what Kamina always knew he could be is incredibly satisfying.

Kamina's voice actor was still better.

He either gets everyone killed by Lordgenome's forces or gets everyone killed in the Spiral Nemesis. They'd still be able to win against the Anti-spiral, provided that dream world doesn't fuck them up too hard.

I don't know, Simon got reckless in eps 9&10 because he was trying to recapture the spirit of his brother, Kamina might instead become more cautious trying to recapture the spirit of Simon (pre-becoming a man).

He doesn't become Kamina 2.0, but he becomes the man Kamina wished he was.

may be an unpopular opinion but i never grew attached "like that" to Kamina. I mean sure I respect what He stood for as a Man...Humanity's rebellion...a role model for Simon. But I never shed tears for his death.

You want a sad TTGL death? Try watching Kittan's final ride once again... ;_; My bad...make that, "King Kittan!"

I agree, I think Kamina was more of an in-show symbol than a character. The man he really was not only never matched up to humanity memories of him, but was faking it the entire way.

>But I never shed tears for his death.
Me neither, but for some reason I wasn't expecting any main characters to straight up die. It seemed incredibly light hearted as a series for that to happen. So when the most upbeat and enthusiastic of characters actually fucking died, I realized it was going to be quite special. It honestly left me in a bit of a shock for a good two days.

cant help but agree with you.

room temperature IQ post

goddamn you didnt have to kill this poor brainlet he could have eventually reached the peak we have

Those subs are atrocious.

I hate you and everything you touch.

>He doesn't know

Kinda felt the same way, then again I knew Kamina was going to be Simon's "Smith" before going full Noriko so him dying was something I kinda looked forward to.

>Cant ever save Kamina in SRW
>X let you Blue Water Nia into a normal human lifespan
decent trade off I guess.
