When Rui comes back she might feel that something is different between the two of them and ask Hina, who tells her not to worry cause she won’t break her promise. Rui will think back to everything that’s happened so far and decide to tell Natsuo the truth about the secret she was holding which will led to the inevitablely confrontation between the three. Thus revealing that she did in fact take advantage of a heartbroken Natsuo and a situation where her sister couldn’t do anything. Everything will be out in the open. I think all three will apologize and then it will be up to Natsuo to chase Hina who will still feel some guilt. It’s a classic scenario of the MC chasing the love interest who thinks she doesn’t deserve to be with him. Future!Natsuo already stated the way he got with his wife wasn’t traditional and it’s different enough that he’s told to write about it.

Hina broke up with Natsuo much earlier. The time when he was with Hina, Natsuo described it as perfect happiness. They broke up due to circumstances out of their control. Much of the manga is about Hina's suffering. It is only logical for them to reunite at the end. Compared to Rui who was a rebound girl and her relationship with Natsuo was a very bumpy one filled with trust issues fueled primarily by her own insecurity leading to their inevitable breakup.
