The writer of the manga wrote it when they were in a similar situation, presumably to fulfill themselves in this fantasy world where he has a reason to exist, a reason to be there, working too hard. It's escapism at its finest, a rabbit hole of pain and regret.

Twist is nice, I watched all LotGH on it but my biggest problem is that it tends to buffer a lot and the whole donation can only last for a short before people stop supporting it.
