Season 2 was definitely announced, the only unknown variable being which studio is doing it, which we don't know yet. Chances are it will release sometime next year. They're busy working on a bunch of movies and the Electricity series, they just announced a new Hibike project, and they stopped mentioning Dragon Maid anywhere in promotions and their social media. I could be wrong but I think it's likely that it won't be by them.
