Why the fuck would Law be a traitor? It was clear from Dressrosa that Law started the alliance in the first place as a revenge plot to kill Doflamingo. Law used Kaido as a lure to get Luffy, who had legendary feats at Marineford and a miraculous power to survive, to cooperate with him. Luffy didn't give a shit about Doflamingo on Punk Hazard, but he wanted to be Pirate King and naturally wanted to overthrow the Yonko. Law wanted to fight Doffy but he knew he was outmatched by himself, so he went with Luffy and the Straw Hats. Law acknowledged the power and fortitude of his allies, believing they would carry out the deed if he failed. Law even went so far as to declare that he'd die alongside Luffy if he couldn't beat Doffy. Now that Luffy actually succeeded in beating up Doffy, and Law finally got his revenge, Law owes Luffy for his actions and wants to take out Kaido for real to settle their debt. If Law does betray Straw Hats, it's only after they succeed in killing or beating Kaido, as the alliance would no longer serve a purpose. Then Law and Luffy would go back to being rivals, albeit not to an antagonistic degree like before.

We know that they have a role in the future story but they were filler at the time and many of them still are (who the fuck remembers Orlumbus or Abdullah?). If they will be important anywhere, it will likely be offscreen. The word "filler" doesn't mean "characters I don't care about" btw. They're absolutely important to the overall story. If Luffy became Pirate King with just 10 people working under him then everyone would rightfully call asspull. And it's better that Luffy has people working under him who were given screentime and fought alongside him to take down a common foe, rather than just a bunch of random mooks.

Jesus, try to get some reading comprehension. Dressrosa was worth complaining about AT THE TIME because the characters were filler at the time and their role was only revealed at the end. Wano does not have that problem at all, Wano is delivering on pre-established characters we've been waiting on for years if not a whole decade. Doflamingo was the only character like that from Dressrosa and he ended up disappointing a lot people.

You are just embarrassing yourself. I am not saying Dressrosa was an awful arc so there's no need for you to leap to Oda's defense. I am explaining to you why it was so tiring at the time and is nothing like Wano. Everybody introduced there was completely new, nothing they've actually done is genuinely relevant to the story and none of them were essential to the arc, they were padding. Yes, they resulted in the reveal at the end they were his Grand Fleet but that could have been done so much better and in another arc. In Dressrosa, it was filler. It meant that stuff like the Bird Cage had to happen so all of Luffy's new allies could team up and all get bounties together when really it was still just a one-on-one fight.

Having grown up with the Swedish printed version which used "Lolonoa Zoro" I never understood the anger over the Zolo name change, it's just a fuckin letter and they might have done it to avoid a lawsuit. Of all the things to complain about in the 4Kids version this seemed harmless to me.

This theory is true. Every character in One Piece who has ever died had something to do with the One Piece - if they didn't, they didn't actually die.

I think this is a really bizarre argument. There are plenty of arcs in One Piece that set up things within the same arc. Skypiea is there to establish lore that will only come into play way later on in the story. Thriller Bark introduces Brook, and two of the Warlords, and their roles are only going to be further fleshed out later too. I could probably name other examples of this but your argument really doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Even Wano has most of its core characters being introduced in this exact arc, like the majority of the Scabbards and Momo's family.

Also, even following your point it has inconsistencies in it. Law is another character who was set-up earlier on and given fleshing out in Dressrosa, and was clearly set-up for grander things beforehand when he bailed Luffy out of Marineford. And he too is still around in the story so being able to see him in a vulnerable light and be given further reason to collaborate with Luffy was important.

But on the other side it follows the ever stale formula, it puts Luffy on a pedestal, because he's the one who comes and beats both Oars and Moria, a lot of it is spent in characters running back and forth across the island, it'ss rather inconsequential in terms of larger world, it only uses its thriller-esque setting for the initial series of gags before diluting back into SHs fighting quirky villains in duels in a generic brick mansion, and it's just overall not very exciting. It's doesn't have the adventure of Skypea or emotional stakes of W7/EL, it's just another part of the journey like Davy Back Fight and Gaimon. It's a workhorse of an arc, just doing its narrative job, and sure it's not bad, but there's nothing to put it on the level of something truly memorable.

Boa, Buggy, Crocodile, Sabo, the Admirals are pretty standard at this point
To be fair, considering the studio's viewpoint, if you're going to make a major investment in an out-of-timeframe post TS OP film you might as well get the known 'big shot'/high stakes characters out to spice things up, so the audience remembers them and alrady considers them to be a threat to the SHs or a big player in the series without spoiling upcoming canon confrontations/meetings.
